  1. I referred to side-effect. There actually have been 4 contests so far.
  2. Sounds really good, I like it better than the first one.
  3. It's definitely not the old UX. But I like it! Great rhythm and I love those trancy melodies. They remind me of Art Of Trance a little bit.
  4. Been listening on spotify. Dude really has talent but I have to admit to the sound quality. It could be a lot better. The climax of In The Mouth Of Madness is friking amazing, but the problem is it doesn't hit as hard as it should because the layers just merge into each others. Then again guitar is hard as fk to pull off I've noticed (Cybernetika had issues too) but still, the in the whole track the layers don't breathe. What a track musically thou. Procyon is the surprise for me, it's really playful and groovey. LOVE the part at 4:05. Why can't goa do that more? It's borderline cheesy but just isn't at all, actually. Chronos has same sort of thing going on at 5:52. Another thing I find great about this is the atmosphere, while not totally original, is a fantastic blend of dark, raw atmospheric cyberpunk with a touch of hell (So DOOM essentially.). The latter part you don't hear often, at all. There is no typical morning climaxes, so kudos for that. A lot of kudos, actually. Too bad there is barely any 3D-spacing to go with that..
  5. It will be fantastic. That one cronomi DJ mix had a bunch of the unreleased tracks and I've been eager to see this released since.
  6. Anyone else have this issue? It become more advent with using spotify to browse through the garbage on weekly lists (and everywhere else tbh), just skip and swipe and here I am, listening to the new Oforia from youtube and I just want to keep going for the skip button to hear the climax, but I know it's not worth it when you don't hear the full thing. Especially in psytrance, but it's even more a problem here because the tracks are long, they are so very long compared to a lot of EDM and, well, who has the time, right? Skipping can be a great tool if you are in a rush but when I'm not I still keep going for it by habit. Instant gratification is real. To throw in an argument, some of the psytance filler can be really numbing, especially in a lot of progressive and full-on. Nothing changes, but when it does, it's totally worth it to not skip. Actually the problem is also very prevalent in neogoa where you keep hearing forgettable melodies with constant never changing basslines. I swear a lot of tracks by the same artists just blend together like butter, how else than skipping will you find that one great track? Edit: I think we've discussed a similar topic but I can't remember it's name.
  7. To be frank I think his stuff can be considered classic by now. What a dayumn shame he left. Why can't he just give the talent to someone else to continue his work???
  8. Seriously, it boggles my mind how different things can sound. Colin has such a lovely way of mastering. On another note. No more name calling, also seriously.
  9. I liked the feeling of owning it, but I guess the fact my collection hasn't been with me for a year has affected my purchasing habits. That and I don't have the money anymore..
  10. Yeah well like i said I felt the same on many LSD tracks.
  11. I agree. Production is great but the musicality is forgettable. It's kind of like Cosmic Dimension to me. However he has released tracks that stand out from the rough between all the albums so the potential is there.
  12. Sounds great! Now where is Joti sidhus new album...
  13. Meh cover, however his recent tracks have been pretty good. Looking forward.
  14. Again I feel like the first post requirements are not that much at all, so I don't think that is it. Personally I've got no time anymore. Back when I made reviews I had plenty of time to do that.
  15. What years are the tracks from? I'm not fond of the cover but the music sounds righteous!
  16. This album is actually pretty damn good I feel. The production is flawless and there's plenty of interesting elements to make this stand out some. I disagree. The cover is quite apt for the first track.
  17. I'm confused. Are you saying the album is excellent but you find goa boring? Or is the album boring? Thing is with Filipe is he can make a good track, uneventful, but still good. Then he makes another good track, but it follows the same exact formula and after that the third good track just becomes tiresome. The foundation never changes, the basslines, rhythm and sounds stay the same and the progression becomes very predictable. This has been a problem in all of his music throughout the years though unique tracks slip in between productions. That's not to say this is bad. This album reminds me of Moon Tribe with the sharp sounds, just way more in your face and predictable. For example there's some fantastic leads and melodies here, especially in tracks 1, 3 and 4, but the thing is, it just becomes so damn predictable so damn quick. Just like this so damn predictable sentence in this so damn predictable text editor.
