  1. I ended up finding it average as well. I do really like his unique style and interesting sounds, but like branefreeze said, the compositions are dragging it down. The tracks have a lot going on in them but I don't feel like they've achieved anything by the end. The spanish samples are highly distracting and some melodies are just really dull and cheesy, Infected Mushroom-esque but more amateur. "Musica" is probably the worst offender of the album. It feels like the album could benefit more from being darker mysterious atmospheres, but instead it feels maybe a bit too playful. Also I like the idea of real instruments mixed in but the compositions just aren't working. Best tracks are Nav Gate Bahia, Love Act and 4th State. Ground Groove gets points for the production. I had big expectations for this because the track "Big Bang Podcast" reeked of a proper Hallucinogen vibe. Mysterious, trippy, deep, smooth and floating perfection. Unfortunately there's none quite like it here.
  2. How hard is it to hotlink an image and copy paste the tracks? You could have done that 10 times during writing those two posts talking about it.
  3. We should 604.
  4. TT? And yeah I saw, but hell, the shipping is more expensive from their store than it was from amazon. Our local Post has the most outrageous prices even inland. And theyre a monopoly. High paid upper jobs at the company are leeching off all the profit. Dicks.
  5. Really? I actually read the amazon and other distributions only got blacks. I ordered Garden and World Of Sleepers from amazon.co.uk. I mean hell, I don't buy Vinyls ever but I couldn't pass on this knowing it'll get sold out eventually and dat art mang.
  6. I wasn't going to get them to be played! Anyone know how many were printed in total?
  7. Fuck me that splatter would have been sick. And fuck me more that artwork is amazing.
  8. Absolutely amazing soundscapes. Brings back nostalgia of older video games soundtracks, as I find it very similar to something like C&C Tiberian Sun ost.
  9. I very much agree the kick creates a big contrast to the rest of the music, but I'm personally not bothered by it for some reason.
  10. I guess I'll get this then. Those new (old?) tracks are really good.
  11. In fact I've listened to the LE tracks on bandcamp and they do sound better than the original tracks do. They feel more of that old Oforia than the new ones. I wonder if they are actually unreleased from 90s? Sure sounds like it.. I mean just listen to the synth work and basslines.
  12. My first impressions are that it's very storytelling and visceral psytrance with a high quality production. You can hear the amount of work being put into the tracks. And while being unique and sounding fresh and interesting to the ears of a psytrance listener, it also has common appeal due to it's strong, punchy bassline. It is really well crafted no doubt. I'd buy the CD if it existed. I have to mention that Andromeda reeks of Juno Reactor and I love it.
  13. Very unfortunate there hasn't been a sequel. It's been 6 years already!
  14. I stumbled on Kashmir on youtube and holy shit what you can do with such a simple approach. The track is not filled with unnecessary layers, and the layers that do exist and come in and out complement each others perfectly. Every climax drives the melodies forward with precision. Hypnotic goodness. Perfect buildups. Love it. I agree with T2MU, the album probably paved the way for a lot of goa that came after it. It sounds old, rightly so, but the musical qualities are timeless.
  15. I loved the idea on this comp. Down-to-mid-tempo goa only. I found it a breath of fresh air as a whole and some of the tracks were absolutely stellar. Especially Ufomatka, just goddamn what atmospheres.
  16. Anyone wanna give me a pink one in exchange for the clear? I missed out on this. D:
  17. Those melodies may have a bit of cheese to them but I still like them. At least they're not forgettable like many "serious" melodies you hear these days. I really like the in your face rawness of this track. It's a little cheesy too but I don't care, it sounds neat. I still love you imba
  18. Those fucking trumpets Seriously? Christ. This is definitely the worst.
  19. Yearly reminder these tracks still exist. As well as the jikkenteki remix. I want. Still.
  20. I'm a little disappointed with the lack of reviews for this one. Not sure why, as I know SkyTech definitely had hype behind him. I was going to write a very long review for this but it's just sitting on the back burner for ages and for some reason I'm having a hard time even starting. Sky Technologys debut was actually planned as far back as 2012 originally, but due to multiple issues it got delayed quite a bit and it's sound evolved a bit toward the nitzo kicks and style from goa because of the label it was being released on, but it's definitely more in the realm of goa than nitzo. I've been listening some of these tracks for like 4 years already and what strikes me is that, well, I'm still listening to them from time to time. I loved his first EP. It had such raw explosive melodies, one's that resonated with my brain so well I couldn't help but to become a follower who ended up doing a logo for him and then the artwork for the albums. What I really enjoyed about the process of the album coming together was the story. The tracknames correlate with the little story found in the booklet really well and I created the artwork to resonate with the idea as well. About the music, I still love many of the tracks, regardless of hearing them hundreds of times. Some of them definitely took me quite a while to appreciate when I originally heard them. Sky Technology sometimes lacks the finesse some other artists have, but he makes up for it with the melodies and unique sounds. The climaxes on this album are some of the best in goatrance ever made, in fact some of them are probably my favourite climaxes ever. Just listen to the climaxes of Magnetic Force, Broken Music Box, Sands Of The Desert and Babat Sink. The sheer explosive energy and rawness. I don't know how he does it, but he does. I just wish he got more recognition for creating such powerful tunes. This was my favourite album of 2015, excluding IFO remaster. And on that note, it might seem a bit biased as I was working so close to this project, but there's a reason why.
  21. It took me a few days to appreciate the album. At a first glance it's really messy and noisy, but listening to it, like pleiadians, you start to seperate the different layers from each others better. Enough's been said about the album being good, and I agree for the most part! I especially love parts like Procyons 2:45, chronos 5:00, the groovy-close-to-cheesy-but-not moments and the wicked dark atmosphere. The issue with this album, that I hope will be fixed in the next one, is the mixing. Everything just becomes a wall of sound. The layers don't breathe, whatsoever and it becomes really, really fatiguing to listen to. Unfortunately it's sometimes nigh-impossible to appreciate all the layers when they stumble on each others at climaxes and the bass/kick needs more oomph. It's 2016, I thought we were past this.
