  1. You might also consider fewer tracks per album, or even just EPs, for lesser known artists. Personally, I consider 6-8 tracks per album the optimal size, even for "star" artists, and especially for digital releases. It forces labels and producers to be more rigorous in the selection of music, and I'm more likely to buy the entire album if I don't have to pay for too many tracks (including, frankly, weaker material). FWIW
  2. Bandcamp charges the same for all digital formats. I think you'll sell more tracks at a lower price, 1.2-1.5 euros for individual tracks and 1 euro per track for an entire album.
  3. Really good energy. Thanks for rescuing this album from obscurity.
  4. Any way to actually download the track (not just play it)? Update Edit Never mind. I found it. Didn't realize this was a Psygone remix of a MWNN track.
  5. Does the remastered 2015 version really sound noticeably better than the original? I don't remember any sound quality issues with the earlier release.
  6. I don't understand the rationale for all the recent releases from Submoon Records. The volume is overwhelming. It just seems like a massive data dump. Who has the time to listen to all this music? At this point I don't even try, I just move on to other artists and other labels with less frantic release schedules.
  7. I think there's been a lull in new releases that really excite people. I just took a look at my music library additions over the last few months and my favorite new album was Ozric's Technicians Of The Sacred. The latest goa / psy stuff is OK, but nothing has really hooked me. A lot of it sounds competent but bland. The only album that's really made an impression so far this year was Qiujan's Ritual To The Light. Maybe there's too much new music and not enough time to absorb it. Maybe we're all sated by the great music from the past. Maybe other goa / psy fans like myself are just spending more time on other musical genres.
  8. Just want to say thanks for your continuing work on this project. This is a great document for everyone who loves this music. [ FYI, you might want to flip Wild - Absolum to Absolum - Wild on your Psytrance origins page. ]
  9. I also agree that the album is too long. I would appreciate the music more if there were fewer tracks.
  10. Give a listen http://mesmobeat.bandcamp.com/album/dead-planet
  11. http://timewarprecords.bandcamp.com/ Try Cactus Arising - Star Storm
  12. I think someone also mentioned elsewhere that Portamento is no longer producing music, which is really a shame. This is a great album.

If you're OK with digital downloads ... http://classic.beatport.com/release/dreamfish/189576
  14. Skip the samples. You can preview the entire album at Bandcamp: http://zirrex.bandcamp.com/album/lost-in-time-special-edition-2010
  15. He also collaborated with Sonic Elysium on the last three tracks of the underrated Mahaon album: Apocalypsis, Clepsydra, and Winter. http://beatspace-geomagnetic.bandcamp.com/album/sonic-elysium-mahaon-goa-records
  16. I know there's been a lot of turnover in the band, but OT is just about to issue a double CD of new material, Technicians Of The Sacred. http://www.ozrics.com/ I've heard a few tracks and it sounds just as good as their older material.
  17. Maybe VA - Boulevard Of Broken Drums http://cosmrecords.bandcamp.com/album/v-a-boulevard-of-broken-drums-cosm008cd
  18. I like this EP, although it took awhile. Atoned Splendor also made an earlier EP in 2013, 3rd Dimension. That EP was basically three different versions of one track. I liked the 1st and 2nd versions, but not the 3rd. http://goaproductions.bandcamp.com/album/atoned-splendor-3rd-dimension
  19. Never heard of Psychophysical Transcripts before, but I liked the track. Did a little follow-up research and discovered they released an earlier EP in 2012, Temporalising Space: http://ovnimoonrecords.bandcamp.com/album/temporalising-space Not as good as the latest track, but still interesting.

  21. You might consider adding version numbers or dates to the document name as you continue to revise and update the text. All in all, a good effort.
  22. Any more recommendations for Yar Zaa? I've acquired a few tracks over the years, but more by accident than design.
  23. The collaborations with Spirit Architect, on this EP and Liberation, sound good. However, the Djantrix solo tracks sound pretty generic and still need work. I think he just needs more time to improve compositional skills.
  24. I thought the sound quality was mostly OK. If you're not planning on releasing a mastered version in the future you might consider making the SoundCloud version available for download (like some of your other SC tracks).
