  1. Amazing. Phat atmospheres and very storytelling structures. Love the oomphy, detailed production too and you can tell it's mastered by colin.
  2. Great flow like usual. I really enjoyed the track selection from middle toward the end.
  3. I love how this compilation seems to be a step in another direction. The last 3 compilations from suntrip have been a bit homogenous in the style department(not to say there wasn't any great moments) but they shifted gears with this compilation to a much more stylized refreshing path. Some of the music reminds me of something like Matsuri's Resonance mood, or otherwise acid heavy darker compilation. I mean just listen to the atmosphere in the Jagoa track. There is a clear, maybe more mechanical, style till the 7th track, where I feel the compilation kind of falls apart into the typical Suntrip realm. I don't understand why, because like I said, up until that point it was really refreshing. So I think the biggest critique for the compilation is the inclusion of Mindsphere and Crossing Mind. Crossing Mind doesn't fit one bit. It's very harsh and lacks the softness of the first 6 tracks. Not saying it's a bad track, I actually like it, lovely melodies, but I don't feel like it belongs. (Also to note he is in every compilation since Temple Of Chaos.) Mindsphere is a tad too uplifting, although again a good track. I know he has darker tracks (he must) that would have fit the album better. I just find the change from 1-6 to 7 jarring. The last track is fine no matter the selection, it's a nice throwback to the 90s and, well, it's the last track. I really feel weird critiquing the selection, because compilations lately don't really convey a theme(to my ears at least), so that doesn't ever even come up in the discussion. This one, however, does, and big thumbs up for that. I really think the compilation until 7th track is something new and great and I hope to hear something like it again but more complete. Great job regardless of that (personal) critique. Actually now that I got to think about it, doing a split compilation would have been cool. Darker tracks for the first and brighter for the second. Like you kind of did with Energy Waves and Temple of Chaos
  4. Psychedelic dilemma is insanely good. The mid track climax at 5 minutes is superb.
  5. Proper remix! Just listened to the original and you took the best parts out of it and constructed a whole new track.
  6. What's different to the official mastering?
  7. Where are the pics of the entheogenic box?
  8. That rubix cube track is awesome. Actually the whole album is. Didn't know this type of twilight even existed, so thanks for bringing it to my existence!

    V/A - Noughty

Xenith - Critical Mass is amazing though.
  10. Enjoying the groovy sound, definitely have to check this out. Been enjoying psytrance more and more lately.
  11. This album was absolutely flying under the radar for me. I've heard many of these tracks in dj sets but never the whole album. Very well produced atmospheric, storytelling melodic goa. The whole album is interesting from beginning to the end. The only track I couldn't really appreciate was Bringers Of The Dawn. Magma, My Plan, Nothing Left and Montage are classics that I've heard many times before hearing this album.
  12. The last track is definitely platipus vibed. I like how there are new harder sounds here compared to Suntrips previous compilations.

This all triggered by the fear of needles? I know fear, but this I have not heard of.
  14. How bout we get this rolling where you name your top (5?) other electronica albums from last year. Genre naming would do wonders and no huge lists of youtube links please. I'll update my list when I remember the rest. Boerd - Dwaal, kettel-esque IDM
  15. UX was definitely a surprise hit. Rotwang Goa Meditation was on my uptempo list and wasn't counted for the downtempo list qq
  16. Been listening on spotify. Lovely soundscapes.
  17. VA - Pyramidal Trancendence, Mindsphere - Inner Cyclone, Astrancers stuff. Obviously nobody is like PharaOM but stylistically they're similar.
  18. Seriously. That remaster made a world of difference. All the layers have impact now, the remastered EP is better than the main album because of this reason alone! This music requires the layers to breathe and have the mix right, otherwise it becomes a wall of sound with no punch. For example the kicks are way more hollow and flat compared to the remasters punchy sound and it's just generally much deeper sounding. This EP just got shitloads better.
  19. You mean last two thirds of this compilation? I think the first 4 are meh but the rest 5 are totally stellar.
  20. Incredible quality. The only downsides are the borderline cheesy Sparks Remix and already released Shakta and Digicult, but that fact really doesn't take away from them. The rest? The best of what theses artists can deliver. Unfortunately the front cover isn't very good, I've seen Psara's work elsewhere and this just strikes me as lazy compared to stuff like Psysutra's or New Born's albums.
  21. Sounds so good. Mindsphere keeps delivering like crazy. I can't believe we've come this far from Patience For Heaven which I found very average with a few great tracks. Talk about a u-turn.
