    I listen to mixes, but usually try to find something that is more story-telling like this Or mixes with unreleased stuff. Rarely do I listen to sets that feel like a string of music with no aim except "I like this track."

    Most of the album was solid, but there seemed to be a problem with randomness. For example a few songs were just way out there with the sounds. Check-in and Inculcating Ideas were absolutely over-produced, the random-meter exploded and I can't find them very enjoyable. Identity Mash is also very close to being too much. I think it's a good idea to step back a little for whatever comes next. Jannis is a great producer, but it can get a little overwhelming when you're just throwing cool things in there for the sake of cool things (that's how I felt anyway). On the other hand Folie à Deux, Klecks, Grandiose Thoughts and Cousin It are stellar stellar tracks. Something I definitely expected and hoped for a KOB album. They're groovy, danceable and dark. Klecks definitely taking the cake of being an insanely danceable track, it kind of has this crazy suomi-style going on. I just wished this would have been a tad darker in general. Just check out older tracks like Wet Wet Wet, Multiple Disorder and Lost Belly Of Civilization and you'll know what I mean. Like IronSun mentioned, it might have been a bit too close to Filteria sound. It's still a solid album and above average definitely, a few tracks do get quite a few plays. It's just not exactly what I was expecting when taking the older tracks into account. I'm still very much excited for the next output regardless of having some issues with this album.

    Definitely half fillers but We're Not Who, Color Rain, Little Grays, Sky Candy and Bubble frog are fantastic tracks. Fun melodies and arrangements. I found them very quirky. Surprised so many disliked this as a whole.

    Oh yeah I agree. When I see an old artist releasing something new I never expect anything like what they used to release.

    I thought it was pretty grouvey! Nothing like the old koxbox but still definitely refreshing psytrance.

    I never gave it good listens until lately and every track here is good. The Sideffect was little all over the place stylistically but this one is more refined.

    This one could top Vol 1 in terms of quality, which is no easy feat. Definitely a step up from vol 2. We'll see.

    Decode Reality is insanity great. Powerfully simple hypnotic acid tune. To be honest this album is pretty great. It is the most interesting and least cheesy album they've made.

    I wouldn't have guessed it would be GoaTree. The first album grew on me quite a bit. Can't wait to hear it!

    This one is great. Very psychedelic goa. Great drive. I'm surprised there wasn't a review for it already? I don't even remember how I found out about this originally.

    These are definitely the best tracks from you so far. Much more goay nitzho than you've released before. Lovely melodies on Midnight Trees.

    Earglobe is a lost Hallucinogen(+doof) masterpiece. You can throw this anywhere next to other Hallucinogen classics like Space Pussy or LSD and it sounds fantastic. Krakoa is nasty. Very brooding and hammering sound with an atmosphere made of total darkness. Opale is a fickle artist for me but this track really does it. Another total gem is Doof's Giving Godhead. I thought I'd get tired of Doof by this point (His sound is great, but really the saturation peaked after the double CD) but this track takes Doof, and makes it soft. Like really, even more soft than Doof already is. And bouncy. Very bouncy. This is what I'd call trance music. You can get lost in it like in a view high above with cascading mountains on the horizon. I think generally this compilation is more accomplished than the last. Along with the stellar tracks, there are some weird experiemental tracks that also honestly do feel like they should have been released in the 90s no doubt. None of the tracks feel like they didn't need to be released this time around whereas there was a few tracks on the last compilation I could have done without. The only sort of disappointment is the Etnica track and that's because all of the best Etnica music has already been released; the one here feels less mature than many others. I did not like the cover. The elements nor the composition work together. Analog Dreams was at least more coherent.

    BGF happened in the balkans with barely a crew so it's not really comparable. (With anything really.)

    Interesting. It seems the bass has subsided a little and layers breathe more. Alien Pump climax is a lot more bright and discernible on the highs than the original. It is less soft but doesn't seem too harsh either.
