  2. i also come back to check it out every patch i was one of those geeks who bought it at 00:00 at gamestop i got a free poster. wicked. anyway i played until i hit act 2 on inferno, and it was too hard to continue. so i just watched streams instead. kungen, kripp, etc. by then i had played perhaps 100 hours. then the expansion came out and that number increased to about 500h, and about 300 paragon before nerf. 2.4 isnt very great though, nothing really new. they didnt change the wizard at all, which is kinda good i guess but it would be fun with at least some changes. the set dungeon is boring and you do it once then your done. empowered rift doesnt add anything to the gameplay either. just another gem roll. i want pvp now. 2v2 arenas would be awesome.. but it wouldnt work with current game mechanics.. they would almost have to do another game for pvp to work properly.. or just throw in some pvp gear, that equalises all your gear so eveyrone has identical gear. that would be fun too.
  3. the subtractor hands down. Its my go to synth whenever i wanna get melodies out. Or well, it has been for over 10 years. Nowadays I usually start directly in nuendo and go to Sylenth1. when malström came out i didnt like it, thought it sounded too plastic. Learned to use it a little bit for fx though. next is redrum, best drum machine ive worked. i searched for days, to finding a decent one as a VST, and finally found Poise which is closest but still redrum is alot better. its like an 808 so its really intuitive. the sampler NN19 i also love alot, and well, i just love reason tbh. Just wish the sound coming out of it were good enough, and it is nowadays with the SSL incorporation to the mixer, sound quality really really went up. And of course alot of plugins now too. But the version i have is really old now. edit: just saw that they have a 30 day trial for reason, i think im gonna try it out for fun. but im guessing there is going to be a limit on bouncing to wave. probably going to be limited to 30 sec or something. edit: holy crap did they change alot, doesnt even look like reason anymore hmm very interesting indeed. sorry for offtopic
  4. i wish Flying Rhino, Platipus, TIP, and more, would do their very own special 20y parties. like, they all had milestones in this year and the previous and the next, so all years now are valid for them to arrange something. they should give back imo. back then i owned ALOT of cds, aswell, so yeah.
  5. damn. ill just stop bringing it up. seems like a case of i want it to be reason so i hear it to be reason. anyway good job and keep at it
  6. aww. thats sad. my heart goes out to his family. And Cosma too, I listen to his albums all the time. And while speaking on the dead, my heart goes to all dead and their family whose music have touched people.
  7. I love him, and I would recommend with all my heart, Tangerine Dream, Global Communication, and Chicane - to those who want to explore this sound further. And just, well, want MORE. These artists do it masterfully, with Tangerine Dream being the obvious first step . That is one of my favorites also! <3 Sounds like Tangerine Dream had heavy heavy influnece from this track, and always thought so. Music for 18 Musicians is always going to be a cherished album.. and a milestone for psychedelic and hypnotic melodies.. yeah, for me this guy is truly psychedelic. He can definetely expand minds. Thank you Steve
  8. i think we should chip in, just a buck, and buy a freaking medal for Draeke.. "The psytrance community loves you" or something. He saw the music, he saw the scene, and he thought - ok. I have a job to do. And he did that job. And he did it effin awesomely. .. and he had fun doing it. Such things need to be medal:ed. And i would gladly donate a buck. Where do i go to start a collection? I dont have a clue to organise such things and i dont think im the right man for that job.
  9. i just started playing again since 2.4 came out, played 2.3 to death so had to break. have 1000 hours on my wiz add me if you want, could boost some lower lvl chars or we could just casualplay some rifts or something. agentpewpew#2358
  10. mostly agree they sound as though you would love them more than you do. but Music Is Math still holds up, as a dearly beloved old friend. Then again I like my remix of it more than the original these days. btw, the OP describes what Trip Hop is, literally.
  11. ill chime in with starky, that was a thick arse trip, that mix. i dont know why i keep going to dense, dank, wet, dark, but since i am, the mix was obviously good cause the tracks alone doesnt do that.
  12. possibly. i guess there arent many though, but spotify is a very nice way to go about it, it usually has what you want. usually. then again its not the same as having them for listening at ones leisure later on.
  13. anyone playing bo3 on pc? i wanna have a friend for zombies! its scary to go alone and boring to go with 3 randoms. always disagreements (now when zombies is a freaking puzzle and not just survival) and fights break out easily. i.e 4 ppl with their own idea on how to play it..literally :/ some people wanna go rituals immediately, some wanna wait until wave 3, and well, its just waaay too much room for disagreement to play with 3 randoms :/ a shame, bo2 zombies were alot more straight forward, but also easier to grow bored from.
  14. ohh havent checked out aphex in a looong time. my friend, when windowlicker came out, did a freakin genious remix of it, well it wasnt genoius. but it was funny and it worked damn good. he played the cd, and kept hitting pause when recording it to tape, sounds wack but it came out awesome, cause he kept replaying his favorite parts on the cd while controlling the outcome via the pause-record button on the tape and yeah, that part of the track, that really stands out, just before that sample says something about fabric and constitution, was pretty much on repeat. "laaa... la la laaaahh" haha. and its allready glitchy as fuck so his mixing was seamless weed smoking retarded 17 year olds. hilarious days. damn he became really ill later in life so its a cherished memory.. he is fully blown schizho now and has been for the past 10 years so.. thats not funny at all. anyway yeah aphex twin, makes me wanna go thru the discog of him again. its a trip!
  15. i think you can give up searching.. sorry bro. again, sounds like something someone made almost randomly or something very very early in an artists career. so dont expect much. of course ive seen homeruns in here before so its not impossible. but if my musical experience tells me anything is that this will be incredibly hard to find... then again goa gil played it possibly, since that is what someone labeled it on youtube so you could always ask him i guess. ask raja ram too, he was there aswell.
  16. i was expecting something standard, but i was surprised. that was a very fine track and i cant really remember hearing such a track before either. thanks. if this track had came to me in my teens i can imagine i would hold it in high regard today. it has that special something.
  17. sounds alot like transwave. very sweet soundscape and nice melodies. done in Reason? Sounds like Subtractor and Malström at play here with the bassline and melodies but its just a guess, could be anything.
  18. sounds very professional to me, and i couldnt have picked it out as sounding amateur if the track was on a released album. good work! makes me wanna try high tech. but i dont think i could i would most likely end up lowering the bpm and putting melodies in there.
  19. finally! i havent thought about x files in a while. thanks for reminding me. just realising the complete boxset on bluray came out. haha, damn thats a big and expensive fucking boxset.
