Well, being from Australia, my actual real amount until this weekend is literally Zero. Or maybe one. I just found out Blackstarrfinale is playing London this wkend though and am going to that so rather amped about it as I loved his album and keen to pay my respects and say hi. I partied too hard the night/day before and missed Dimension 5 last year at Lost Theory, much to my total and utter disappointment.. ugh.. But i guess i have seen a "retro" Green nuns set that my friend got Dick to play on the banks of the Brisbane river. That was definitely awesome. So who (of goa artists only) have you actually seen live, and how was it?

The record will be a deluxe and high quality product featuring original full colour psychedelic sleeve art and pressed on heavy 180gm vinyl. The package will be mailed to you in a stiff cardboard record mailer. The Voltage Voodoo E.P. will feature 2 all new extended tracks. The tracks are 'Diagonal Voltage' & 'Beyond The Brain' and were written between Dec 2013 and Feb 2014. For a £16 pledge you will receive the record with postage included. After all this was our introduction to Alex Sheffer and his mixture of downtempo and old world goa spirituality. Well, he made some great compilation tracks, but this was his long awaited debut. Long pads and foreign language chants that scream blazing sunshine and mystery. Ethnic instruments like tablas and the hammered dulcimer transport you to dangerous lands and ancient cultures and trying foods you have never heard of. Like Walter Mitty said, it's why the airfare to Kabul is only 64 bucks. The Indian vibe is ever present as the trail leads across the mammoth mountains of Nepal and Kashmir. If you enjoy that type of downtempo sound then this is for you. This is one of those albums that is very relaxing and left me with an inner peace. Unfortunately it's no longer in print. You could always go the Discogs route, but voluntarily submitting to a endoscopy with a rusty knife probably wouldn't leave you with a good feeling. Mdk
