Is it just me or do most recent Ultimae releases sound pretty much the same? Feels like it's the same clicky IDM downtempo over and over again. A bit like the majority of Altar records releases that's the same slowed down clinical kbbb prog over and over again no matter what artist you're listening to.

ME and ME2 are in my Steam library, but somehow I haven't had the motivation to actually start playing them yet (got them in some Steam sale for 5€ or so).

Imba's Goa Trance Drums Kit - FREE DOWNLOAD!
Paul Eye replied to Imba's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Looks like I have the original (unprocessed) samples as part of a huge drum samples package I downloaded some years ago (at least those Roland machines match with the sample folders I have) Maybe I'll get some use of these, probably not...because inspiration: zero :DD -
Err, no. Simon Posford + Nick Barber.

Musicians who you wished released a full length album?
Paul Eye replied to exotic's topic in General Psytrance
Too bad neither Sean Williams nor Pete Martin are into the psy/goa trance scene anymore (apparently it took quite a bit of convincing to have Sean on a track on Nervasystem's Brainradio album). -

No.

Hearts of Stone was a bit meh, but Blood & Wine is freaking AWESOME. This is how you do DLCs. Anyway, my playthrough of the entire Witcher trilogy was about 460 hours (finished Blood & Wine around november/december or so). Currently I'm twisting my brain with The Witness. Very much recommended.

What the actual fuck?

Paul Eye replied to starfreek's topic in General Psytrance
GNOTR - Klunk, perhaps? That crazy giggling starts at about 4:20 -
I think it's this one: https://www.discogs.com/Various-Youth-In-Dub-Orchestra-Mystique/release/199881

This gives me an idea for a thread (to be posted a bit later)

Assuming this qualifies (Yes, I actually have that album)

Which microphone for live vocals in Psytrance?
Paul Eye replied to Ananda's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Well, for what it's worth, you could do much worse than a standard Shure SM58. And as an added bonus, if the need arises you can very well use it as a hammer :DD -

A full length Derango downtempo album would be sweet -
Fair enough

So I guess none of those :DD This gets interesting, considering that it's a 4xCD again.

Searching for a festival to attend with gf (1st one)
Paul Eye replied to noma's topic in General Psytrance
Well, if Finland doesn't stray too far away from your plan (and you're not afraid of possible rain...), then might I recommend Kosmos Festival. Not too big, not too small, and it's already grown out of its baby shoes. It's just a weekend though (if you're looking for a longer festival). -
Yeah, I got that perpetual reloading when I posted it, now it works fine. Must be the cyrillic character in the title.

This came quite out of nowhere: https://vataff.bandcamp.com/album/sol-men Release date: 23.01.2017 His 2 last albums are absolutely fantastic, I'll be expecting this with great interest

This came quite out of nowhere especially as I haven't listened to Initiation in I don't know how many years. Anyway, I'm not good at dissecting albums or putting music into words, but so far I can say that Electronic LSD and Am I The Universe? are the low points on the album, the rest have a nice groove. Especially Bubbles that's wonderfully bubbly and bouncy Lately I've been listening less and less to "pure" goa trance (if I want something with a steady beat) as casual home listening, so this goes very well with my current mood.
-
Assuming tracks with a steady beat (and assuming I remember that all these have a steady beat): Hux Flux - Experimenting With Potions MFG - Electric Bubbles (it's 134 but worth mentioning) MFG - Metamorphosis Transwave - Biolab Slide - Searching Slowly Total Eclipse - Nakano Ghost Space Tribe - The Flower Of Life Space Tribe - The Source Energy Genetic - Sci-Fi Hi-Fi Mumble - Blart UX - Alien Earth Activity Doof - Giving Godhead Etnica - Human Geometry Nervasystem - Whirling Dervish (Kaleidoscope Mix) Basically the entire first Infinite Excursions compilation Anesthesia - Plastic City Viper - Snaked (Black Cobra Mix) Spies - Inorganic Being Growling Mad Scientists - 1.3 Crumbs (also 134 but whatever) Planet B.E.N. - Trippy Future Garden Cydonia - Narco Nympho More to come maybe later.

Lapsus, definitely.
