  1. Big up!!! Love to see that 155 bpm tune in there, crank up that tempo!!!
  2. Gotta agree with the others here, some proper Hitech going on over here. Wanna hear more
  3. That's kind of a biased opinion since most of this stuff was produced in the nineties already...
  4. Definetely an old topic by now
  5. Not totally. The Cyber Planet track is exclusive and a really good one. Good luck finding it!!!
  6. Nitzhonot: VA - Over The Sunrise was the compilation that started the big interest in Nitzhonot in late 1997 - early 1998, quickly followed by Eyal Barkan - Good Morning Israel (1998), which caused a hype that no other kind of psychedelic trance had ever reached before (in Israel) up til late 1999 - early 2000. Uplifting: In Greece, both the Transistance series and the Shiva Space Technology Israel series took of in 1998 and had a lasting success until 2002-2003. These should be considered the cornerstones of the Uplifting trance movement that dominated a good batch of the scene back in the heydays of Uplifting Trance, mainly in and around Athens.
  7. For Nitzhonot/Uplifting I'd say Discobole Records (Uplifting from the Greek side), Typhoon Records (Nitzhonot from the Israeli side) and Sita records (Nitzhogoa side)
  8. Awesome movie. Awesome. Awesome!
  9. I've also been waiting for quite some time...Tal, get it going bro, send those CD's! Send them registred! Like that 1) we can trace them even if the post would lose them somewhere along the road, like you say, and 2) it takes away all ambiguity whether or not you've actually sent them at all, since we could verify! kthbye
  10. Your taste and my taste = 0% match. Based on what you said.
  11. That it's not produced by Verros, most likely, but some underground Greek artist ... good tune indeed though, twilight goa! Remember DJ'ing it a long time ago =)
  12. Good job! Note: Uplifting trance was an invention of Greek artists, not the Germans. It should be noted, however, that there is of course the 'mainstream' Uplifting trance style which was and is still popular and played by guys such as Armin Van Buuren, Aly & Fila, etc... however, that's not the same kind of Uplifting. Uplifting is/was 99% done by Greeks and 1% Bulgarian, Russian, whatever... =)
  13. I don't think that's the actual problem. Look at 80% of the popular psytrance scene in the real world out there and most of the big parties. They're really not playing the most diverse or innovating music out there. That's how it works in Trance, and that's how it works in basically each electronic music style, ranging from hardstyle to hardcore over drum n bass to house. the easily digestable variation of each musicstyle always attracts more people. Therefore, the fact that most newschool producers lack (this is debatable, of course) a certain background and strongly focus on the melodic style, shoudn't necesarily play in their disadvantage, imo. I guess organisers just like to play it 'safe' and go for the artists that have proven their worth in the past. In that way, a vicious circle is created in which only the happy few get to play over and over again. As an artist intending to conquer the bigger stages, you can only break that circle by building up strong connections and a good network of friends and organisers that will eventually lead you to...gigs. that's just how the market works, and that's how it was in the past as well, i'm pretty sure of it. Btw: Lost Theory has newschool, SUN festival 2015 will feature quite some newschool as well(Jos will probably be so kind to confirm this )as well as Connection festival of course. Besides there's a gazillion of Israeli festivals and gigs with newschool music (scene there is bigger than the whole worldwide scene put together in one place), as well as countless smaller gigs scattered around the world (with very low impact, of course). So it isn't all that bad, although I can agree during 2009-2013 not much seemed to move in the big festival line ups, besides Filteria here and there, ofc
  14. It's the start of the Nitzhonot genre, although still heavily relying on the Goa Trance "palette" of sounds, according to me. Also, according to my taste, it fails to excell on any specific level. It's not particulary psychedelic (which would've made it a good goa album), the melodies are completely average (both in terms of goa trance and nitzhonot), nor is it hard and/or fast (which would've made it a more interesting nitzhonot cd). Nope...none of the above! It's just... bland. By no means terrible or incredibly dull, but it seems to have aged pretty badly...(imo!) PS: Cosmic Trip used to be a big hit in Israel though, but I always failed to get why.
  15. I don't agree, you can say you like it, or you can say you hate it (both of which are perfectly fine opinions, I got to thank Jason for rephrasing his opinion there), but if you say it's "garbage" it just means your taste doesn't match the exact things the musical style is trying to be: party/over the top/hard/blatant kickdrums/lollypops/fun fun fun/orientalism/etc etc etc. These elements are not bad per se, and there's many many styles out there in the musical spectrum which try to excel at exactly those elements, like happy rave, makina, happy hardcore (happiness factor), hardstyle (the kickdrums), mizrahit music (oriental melodies), etc. People that like the forementioned styles will most probably like Nitzhonot, people who don't, won't. It's only when you like the aforementioned elements that it's possible to give a more refined opinion on what's good within that style (good Nitzhonot like Cyan, Trivia, Luminus, Syndrome, etc.) and bad (Loona Park, Injector, etc.).
  16. Although it's been inactive since over 10 years, you might be interested to know there used to be another Trance label called Digital Underground http://www.discogs.com/label/28144-Digital-Underground
  17. Hahaha I bought the CDr of Species for 40 or 50 EUR back in the days from djzen I believe, felt a bit scammed at first after finding out it was a CDr (wasn't listed as such in discogs back in the days), but well... whatever ...
  18. Some amazing info from my side Sneila = alienS
