    PSYchill?

Did anyone mentioned Globular? Like three or four times? OK, I'll say it too - Globular! Also by accident I've found this site few months ago (edit: I see psyamb.org has already mentioned this one), and I'm 99,9% sure You'll find something worth listening there, great trip through subgenres (there's even one pure Posford mix with bunch of useful trivias).
  2. I don't know, he's focusing on some other things in his tunes than majority of the goa artists, maybe that's why. I don't feel the gap, maybe because he's not my precious one (although I like his stuff aswell ), to me artists like Crossing Mind, Mindsphere or Portamento are in the same league.
  3. I hope someday they will make pure psytrance album just to please and/or straighten up all the whiners out there. Listening to 'Forgive me' I wonder if Daft Punk have heard of IM (I think the other way is quite obvious) ? When You're in the mood for psy - play some 'Classical Mushroom' or 'The Gathering', if You want to hear sth nicely engineered and don't afraid of hit-and-miss rock guitars plus modulated vocals with a heavy accent - sit back and try to enjoy 'Vicious Delicious'.
  4. The topic has almost a month, everyone who wanted to put comment has already did it. If You find the lack of comments offensive You're too easy to insult and You might reconsider using Internet 'cause there's jungle out there...

    Gravity (3D)?

I didn't see much media buzz about this (just regular attention around a movie with big names), it has changed when everyone started praising it. I liked it a lot, there were some moments viewer could feel like one of the astronauts (I've seen it in IMAX). One of the movies 3D was invented for. That's great such movies could be filmed ad look quite real nowadays.
  6. I love his style - positive, twisted fun (+ harmonica! ). I find his 'Mir' album more bassy than his other works, there are even few dubstep nods, which I'm not a fan of (on the other hand it has 'One Day I Wish To Have This Kind Of Time' ), but yeah - he's untouchable.
  7. Being not the most active user of this forum (more of a reader I guess) I can't shake the feeling that when the temperature of the discussion rises, the creator of this topic is somehow involved almost every time.
  8. I agree, Hallucinogen plenty of times had sth different going on, I also had the same feelings listening to Koxbox's 'Dragon Tales' and Orion's 'Artificial Frequencies'. From newer stuff it could be 4 example 'You Think You Are' by O.O.O.D.
  9. Also check His EPs available on Ektoplazm... ...and if You're hungry for more, here's the newest LP called 'Magnitudes Of Order', a bit more (is it even possible?) twisted, bass added here and there, but the great vibe is still present. Definately worth checking out, because this guy doesn't let go that easy .
  10. Just wanted co congratulate You on this fine piece of poetry, Sir After all this praise it seems at least harmful to check this one out.
  11. Although I've heard some goa trance before, the last drop has to be 'Transelected' with one of my all-time favourites up untli now, Etnica's Tribute.
  12. Recently I saw a nice description of dubstep: 'transformer raping a cat with a blender' . Pretty much sums up huge part of it, to each his own I guess. Fortunately (I've heard rumour that) there are some producers who search for sth more than loud bass and crispy snare. Personally I've had some trouble grasping concept of dancing to percussion going 50% speed of usual bpm, my first thougt was 'bunch of elephants is going to a funeral, should I stomp like them?'. There is some overthinking on psyreviews, but it's a nice read .
  13. Damn! Some people should print, laminate and hang this post on their bedrooms. The part about different times, nostalgia and being more experienced/demanding - SO TRUE, in the general sense, not just Cosmosis. Old shouldn't be mixed with new in the comparisons and greatness department. Great review BTW, I also like this one, you can count on Cosmosis .
  14. All of them are fullon? Is there a line between fullon and 'normal' psychedelic (like [idk] OOOD for example)? I think Psilocybian's 'Brain Dissolver' album is worth checking.
  15. From two posts about fruits and weather in Greece it all have ended like that ? WTF just happened here? What kind of connection did You make?
  16. Seb Taylor rarely (if ever) disappoints and this album is another keeper. Being ecclectic it takes you many different places, but, like Abasio wrote, all tracks have some common factor and they fit in the album nicely. I have to disagree with OP about some tunes being weaker - I think it's diversity's 'fault', if some tunes are better it's just a matter of taste with this one. I didn't have the feeling any of the pieces was rushed and it's one of the marks that characterize great albums. Recommended, 9/10.
  17. F**k, that is just wrong. Few moments and the life has just made an U-turn. Being helpless when bad things you can't control or predict happen is the suckiest of suck and this one is just a glimpse of those sh*tty stuff.
  18. Everytime I see this gif I can't help but think about no holding a gun during kick-the-glass move. I know you have to stabilize yourself after the jump, but when you can do it in the first place, a little piece should't stop you, right ?

    Nostalgia.

Yeah, great line Nostaligia is the ultimate booster for the things you probably couldn't like if you would face/discover them right now for the first time. Forementioned music and movies are the best example - take old Hollywood martial arts flicks like Bloodsport (1988) or Best Of The Best (1989). Nostalgia adds +50 to 'how cool is that' factor, even we watch those films and smile a bit nowadays. My guilty pleasure are some of eurodance tunes where Culture Beat's 'Mr Vain' is still my one of all-time best tracks ever. On the other hand, nostalgia can ruin some things just by comparing situations, making subjective points and justifying the past.
  20. Phone Booth Robbers - Falling Into One Great piece of crazy, melodic and eclectic downtempo - try it!
  21. Sounds like tunes from mid 90's, not a note different. I have a feeling if it would be released back then, may people could consider those two tunes as 'fillers' in any compilation, nowadays it's being treated closer to a unicorn, but I can always be wrong. A bit naive tunes but with great energy nethertheless.
  22. Wow, that's prolific, I hope You didn't forget about food and water . Some years ago I had a 'gig rush', but now this one doesn't make me create some new sounds, but strangely - reading this topic is . Sounds familiar .
  23. Did someone asked You not to put pictures in the first place, cause (imo) Your reviews are even more entertainig with them.
  24. Just two posts? Completely unfair, becuse this music is worth Your time. Templar crafted great review, one can also read this one, so I won't be adding much: Warm, spacey, sometimes dark but never dull - great marriage of psychedelia, melancholy and energy. Have a great trip!
  25. It might be correct, but some folks in Germany or Italy (Tangerine Dream, forementioned Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder) were bored aswell
