  1. So, the name is not a hint in any way ?
  2. Your example shows how the whole 'butterfly effect' shouldn't be neglected. I wonder if there's some parallel universe where You used the right locker and how's things with this million dollar contract You've just signed yesterday .
  3. Unnecessarily, it was a good read, thanks for sharing, great that psytrance is part of a recovery .
  4. It was the genre which caught me off guard at the right moment with it's complexity, melodicness and danceability at the same time. I've listened to a lot of instrumental music (J.M. Jarre, Vangelis, Oldfield etc.) and some unspecified techno/dance genres. With goa, I got everything in one package .
  5. My two cents. There are many reasons and they are different for different people. For one group lack of vocals is a big no-no, for another is using mostly electronic sounds, 'normal' instruments are eihter rare or somehow modified and that's sacrilege (you know, 'souless machine music' type of people). I also heard that the sounds are schizophrenic and depressing, even with happy-major chords. Too many sounds at once with a beat on top of it is another cause, it seems forced (& druggy) for some folks. There is also the group I sometimes think of as 'serious IDMs'. For them melody in electronic music has to be vague or 'ironic' and whole in your face psychedelia is like a cheap trick for for the easy entertained.
  6. Yeah, unless You truly have some arguments and thick skin, than You can at least try. Could You point me to such topics? I don't know what You're talking about and I've only seen the one with 'gay sample' in Shamanix and You didn't handle that well. Everybody can say bad things about newschool goa trance, it just has to be said in the normal manner. I don't have a problem criticizing some of it, did it few times, didn't get warned or banned, no hate mail (yet ).
  7. Radi, I'm not the most active user, but for the last few months I read a lot of topics here and I didn't see any other person than You, who's getting emotional over some comments, the rest is just indifferent or take those as a joke. If You're speaking for a group of posters I'm afraid it could be one-man team. Correct me if I'm wrong, but few days ago You wrote about being in a strange (sth about being in a not so well) mood nowadays, so just try to analize the whole situation from a different perspective, regarding this topic perhaps Rotwang's link isn't that absurd as You may think.
  8. I want to believe it's because of my suggestion from different topic . Edit: At the moment I'm just finishing first Pulse 5 CD and I'm very disappointed. Too mechanical and soulless for my taste, on the contrary last track from this disc (Chi-A.D. – Purity) sounds like some eurotrance-hands-in-the-air tune. Hopefully CD 2 will be better, hell - I know that for a fact, since it has at least Alcyone .
  9. In alphabetical order: Afgin - Astral experience Artha - Sannjasin (remix) BlackStarrFinale - The Many and The Luck Dragon Portamento - White dwarf Talpa - Till we meet again plus two (for interchanging purpose): Artifact303 - Close encounter Goasia - Avatar
  10. Thanks for dedicating few minutes on clarifying vague points, I know the worst thing is explaining 'the funny' for someone, in my defense - it happened to me for the first time with Your reviews and (praise mode: on) I find them amusing + essential for Psynews (praise mode: off). Offtopicking (is that even a word?) along and to clear things up, I'm not and I wasn't offended, just thought about this specific picture as quite graphic regarding the punchline, bold one, that's it. I believe everything can be used to cheer up, even dark themes if used wisely (one of my favourites are Ricky Gervais, Louis CK and Jimmy Carr and they have no brakes ). Last thing, title fights. In garage house scene once there were quality producers who were friends up to a point. After some time they, putting milldly, had a row and the vinyls were pressed with titles like this and this, also the releasing label's name 'Sting City' was mocking 'Swing City' and so on. I thought about similar thing here, my fault. All those words in a topic about complilation I didn't even know about until yesterday, now I just have to listen to it .
  11. RA - Unearthly, nice one, esp. midtempo tunes. Edit: tune no. 7 ('Unearthly') has the scent of old demoscene music .
  12. You mean the line about Paris? Wasn't it there all the time? Or perhaps I didn't get the irony, lack of sleep maybe, don't know, syntax error. Oh yeah, and could You specify 'old school masters of goa trance are engaged in title fights' thing?
  13. Regarding the topic of the post that's an edgy b&w picture right there, bold move.
  14. Yeah, some of those dancers doing electro boogie with lots of locking aren't even listen to the rhythm, just doing their routine, so even classical music won't be a problem.
  15. This... ...this... ...and that... ...and You're welcome . Few more Globular-themed posts and I'll look like his groupie. Don't forget about Phone Booth Robbers, really nice and versatile psychill album.
  16. I second that, whole Globular's music is my '2013 discovery.
  17. I think I'll just quote myself from different topic : I think firstly it's because of this strange percussion, why this music doesn't work for me. Screaming basses are the second reason for sure although I know there are some 'atmospheric' producers out there. I kinda like crossovers, where you can hear a bit of IDM or garage influences, Phaeleh comes to mind (quite calm and relaxing vibe).
  18. The words some people should consider saying all over the world, kudos for admitting it.
  19. Some fogs, those 'done wonderfully' by nature have unnatural feeling to them. Adding snow to a foggy landscape is even more beautiful, somewhat creepy, but in a good way (if it's even possible ).
  20. I feel You, more of us want to preserve some order and control by things like that. So where You put artist like Talpa for example, excluding rolling basslines tracks which will inevitably fall into Your full-on or proggy bins ?
  21. Could You give some suggestions? I'm really curious, because I found them quite accurate regarding different topics.
  22. It was the first track I thought about. Perhaps You have to look for some classic trance tunes, not necessarily pure goa/psytrance, labels like early Platipus or Eye Q Records. EARLY Paul Van Dyk (from 'Seven Ways' era), Union Jack, etc. Try this: Paragliders - Oasis Art Of Trance - Madagascar
  23. Whoa! Poland & Nepal in the same sentence when writing about mountains! You can come back anytime You want now, You're always welcome. Glad to know You liked our girls, there's few million of them, and one prettier than another
  24. I'm pretty sure 'rasistic' is not a word although I'm certain it exists in Your dictionary and You know how to spell it. (Someone had a quarrel about english skills some time ago) And how You came up with patriotism out of nowhere is beyond me. This would be my case, it would be better to see them up close, because from the distance they look to me like a large piles of granite and one ani't even that different from another (just to resolve any doubts - I love hiking).
  25. (OT) ...and that's why I thank You for BlackStarrFinale's debut album .
