Suntrip Updates

Recommended Posts

Dear Suntrippers!
You are in this list because you ordered music of us in the past! If you don't want this mail anymore, just reply with "NO"

1.) New release: Hypnoxock
2.) New T-shirts and restocks
3.) Future releases
4.) Apsara Festival

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.) After the success of the 90s only album of MFG, the first release on Suntrip Records in 2020 is Hypnoxock - Beyond the Wormhole! :) This is his 6th album, and he delivers a perfect blend between goa-trance and old schoolish psy-trance sounds with funky touches! :) As usual we can write a whole promo text here, but let's keep it simple: check the samples, and buy if you like! :) You still support us big time by buying our stuff directly! But of course its also available in every other shop or digital platform!

2.) This took way too long, but we finally reprinted a lot of our old t shirts (of which some were only limited available) and we have a new, full print design, available :) Have a look which one you like! :)

https://www.suntriprecords.com/products/type/5/

3.) Our next release will be an album by Clementz! A Danish underground artist making pure maximal massive old school sounding goa-trance! Not for the soft trance lovers for sure! :)
After that Triquetra, Mindsphere and... 3 compilations will happen for sure! :)
- A compilation with only classic 90s artists making 1 more goa track for us
- A compilation with melodic forest/darker music
- A pure Suntrip goa compilation! :)

4.) The full line up of Apsara Festival is now available! :) And all we can say is that we did our utter best to have a special, rare but also massive pure goa-trance line up in all its forms! :) I think we managed to reach that goal...
Have a look on

or on the facebook page of Apsara

Thanks for the support!

The teaser for Khetzal's second album on facebook sounds very promising. :) I assume the album will be released on suntrip? The teaser to my ears at least sounds more egyptian than the indian vibes on his first album? And in all the good ways. The background layers have a very euphoric morning vibe, with lush delays/reverbs.

wait what? a second khetzal album? now that'd be a nice surprise. have you got a link to the teaser?

You love 90s acidic uk goa-trance like stuff? Good news! Finally Suntrip Records present the new Triquetra-album!
2 Cds packed with melodies and oniric strings overlaid with mind-melting acid lines! You are propelled to the old school boundaries of Goatrance, at some points even grazing classic 90's united kingdom acid-Trance! The second CD showcases some of Triquetra's best live moments and live recordings all around the world! :)
And instead of a lot of bla bla... We know what the best way is to persuade you. Just have a listen to the samples and buy if you like! :)
For now only available in our shops but within days you can find it on every CD or digital shop! <3 :) Keep in mind the Suntrip shop is cheaper for buying several cds, special packs or t-shirts! If you prefer 1 item, bandcamp is equally good of course! <3 :)

Gonna need to relisten to this one (still going through my first listen). Some tracks I enjoy (just wish didn't have some effects/sound samples) but beyond those few tracks, have really enjoyed the album. Some real nice groovy acid stuff here, and got a bit of seasoning of 90's stuff. Really rocking it out.

2.) VA - Gamma Draconis classic compilation coming on CD & LP!

A pure goa-trance compilation on CD & vinyl with Astral Projection, MFG, Xenomorph, Shakta, Oforia,... in 2020! Yes, that is still possible! Suntrip worked for years with these goa-trance legends and they made 1 more old school goa-trance track especially for us! As a result, we are proud to present "Gamma Draconis", an 8 track compilation which will please all lovers of 90s goa/psychedelic-trance! The tracks range from classic melodic trance to darker acidic stuff! Each their own!

The tracklist looks like this:
1. Roy Sasson - Mentalogue
2. Xenomorpg - Dying Sun
3. Battle of the Future Buddhas - Shinechaser
4. Shakta - Expidition to Earth
5. Astral Projection - Dominion
6. MFG - Global Light (Retro Version)
7. Ra - Eikon
8. Oforia - Emotionally Charged Memories

It will be released as CD and 2*LP at the end of september! More info about this soon on our social media channels (fb & instagram mainly).

--------------------------------------------------------------------

3.) More future releases (Mindsphere, Cosmic Dimension, Khetzal,...)

COVID forced us to stay at home for a while, and the result? Music... A lot of new music on Suntrip Records! :)
After the Gamma Draconis we will release the third part of Mindsphere's Mental Triplex :) This will take place in november :) To finalise the year we present you the second album of Macedonian Cosmic Dimension! And 2021 will give us more musical goodies... A Khetzal album (that is almost finished), a Filteria album, a new Median Project album and... Compilations! A melodic forest one and a pure goa-trance one!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

4.) Classic Goa Trax

Classic Goa Trax, our sublabel focusing on re-releasing old school goa-trance of the 90s, is still véry active! The amount of names signed is rising and we have enough music to have a release for the next year every 2 weeks! Check out the classics that were already re-released!

https://classicgoatrax.bandcamp.com/

--------------------------------------------------------------------

5.) Change of our housestyle

After so many years, we decided to refresh some stuff with Suntrip! :) Rodoplho Morais, our Brasilian designer, made a new housestyle for the label! By the 1st of september you will see that a lot of banners will be updated! Finally we will have more unity on all our online channels! And thats not all... Also our cds will be different in the future. Our compilations are cardboard ecopacks from now on, and also a lot of artists already agreed to change to this more nature friendly style. And thats not all, we have a nice surprise for the people that buy the next 10 Suntrip cds. If you will put them next to eachother the spines will show you something nice! :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------

6.) Apsara & Parties/Festivals

It was a hard blow for you and for us that Apsara was cancelled because of Covid. We worked for a full year on it on top of our regular jobs. Still, we want to thank so many of you for the donations made! We are positive we can let Apsara 2022 happen! But... we are in uncertain times. We are not sure when the party and festival circus starts again. We hope soon, as we miss our wild dancing and connections between people!! Still, its great the scene is supporting eachother in these hard times! Keep doing this... Because this is what goa-trance makes so unique! <3

Interesting blend, I'm a bit curious about the "melodic forest" compilation, does that mean as in scandinavian forest music? Or is it something else? I assume it's on the darker side of the spectrum?

The compilation with the old school goa veterans seems intriguing as well, MFG and Astral Projection in particular. I wonder which of their older albums they migh've targeted/looked at for inspiration for the retro-style, if they did. A dream would be a new Astral Projection album in the Another World style. And an MFG album inspired by Project Genesis. A new collaboration between MFG and Astral Projection would be something as well. Like they did on The Sleeper Must Awake.

The Khetzal album already seems promising of course from the small teaser on fb.

The melodic forest is indeed swedish style, remember Schlab 002? Melodies and forest like? Something like that :D  Not sure what other directions we will go :D

As for MFG & Astral, the tracks are both on the more trancy side of the spectrum! Samples soon :)

Okay, having listened to Trquetra's album a bunch of times now (it's been kinda hard not to do so) - this is definitely an awesome album that is a gem for the future. While certain samples still not fond of (but i'm picky like that), this album just rocks! Hope they continue their trajectory that is seen in this album. Something unique about this album and can't put it down. Good job to the guys!
