  1. I haven't lost my sense of perspective and I also think this track is awesome, just that "overused" sample doesn't make me feel conveniet if I stumble upon it. Yes, that particular sample disgusts me, not the track and not the artist, because here the sample is just a tiny part of otherwise well turned-out piece. The topic of sampling itself is an interesting subject for sensible further discussion and it is not only my opinion in today's comments in the thread linked above.
  2. Thanks for pointing this out...but not sufficient enough for me; it is mentioned in notes of the original 12'', not in credits, and further distribution by Solaris Recordings doesn't mention a word, neither does Taika album notes or credits on Discogs (first appearance of Unity on an album). Dammit I wanna see Taika album's CD sheet; that counts to me much; the CD is in my daddy's place, haha; using old man's house as a storage nowadays. But it is better than nothing, that note on Discogs. Yet I am angry for a couple of reasons: the sample is not a part of Unity but Unity is the sample and for that Orkidea is our beloved "flawless" trance veteran with a lot of fame here and abroad (not only in music scene but employers even became interested in him and he worked as a sound design manager in Nokia mobile telephones) and it all started because of Unity. @ Dolmot This should be a topic of its own, yes. Anybody noticed what I wrote recently in labels news and artist announcements of new LSD album? And haha, that basement in Brixton
  3. A clear thing is that I cannot tolerate artists who take others' work and put it in their own name; I am hardcore about it since it steps on the toes of creativity and respect. Bye bye, DJ Orkidea: I believed in you and you deceived our Finnish trance legacy. And your CD's are now a burden in my collection.
  4. It disgusts me to use something so recycled. The sample is discussed here, scroll down..https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/60002-the-official-psynews-welcomed-topic/page-6
  5. The line-up gave me such a wow-effect that get out of my way..if I just could..if I just could, but cannot Party hard! And @EXOGEN welcome to psynews! There is an introduction thread here called The Official Psynews Welcome(d) Topic under Off-topic
  6. Hi! Just wanted to say that be careful with charity. Ppl might not be supporting the agenda the charity organization has or have something against organization's partners. And take into consideration also, that if the music buyers want to check the charity organization it always takes time: e.g. I did only a superficial check of your link; I'd have to do more if my intention was to buy. I myself don't support anything church-related. Many times a local distributor is a church. I don't want to be in the situation that I like music and the artist and cannot take part. On the other hand I think all music business should pay back to musicians: if they want to donate in charity, then ok. I wish you and your label all the best!
  7. There is a interesting discussion about stealing going on in this thread, scroll down https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/60002-the-official-psynews-welcomed-topic/page-6started by me by posting DJ Orkidea's track Unity released 1999 that brought him much fame and atm he has 34 kilo likers on his official fb page, also he is my biggest idols from earlier trance years and now I am in a shock. Anybody knowing more, plz share. And rather in this thread, I guess.
  8. Let's listen to some Lunar Dawn Aaaaahhhh: Seven Reasons: I have baptised that "the desperate airport sound" Ma boys, you are so awesome, you two!
  9. What do these trance fucktards think?? It is everywhere! Did they all steal from Dead Can Dance? Tell me someone who knows..
  10. Every producer needs at least one fan who goes irrationally crazy about the music.

  11. @ Manuser: Thanks for welcoming me and at the same time you got me really confused: who sampled and what? I was all innocent knowing anything of this until I saw your post: first I thought if it is a remix I don't know and was puzzled because the written name did not sound like rmix. This is why I like psynews: here if where one gets info. We cannot go on this discussion here because this is normal trance in question, but thanks to you and I am linking this http://www.whosampled.com/sample/18139/Orkidea-Unity-Dead-Can-Dance-Host-of-Seraphim/ What comes to Orkidea I am like mad and wtf? @Penzoline and @PaulEye: you as Finns know anything bout? + Is there a thread suitable for possible further discussion?
  12. Hi everyone! Seems like ppl find this topic a bit late after making some posts already and so did I. But this is a nice thread so I thought I wanna contribute. I am a rarity here, lol: a woman. Let it not bother you misters. Even though I first felt like being a fly on the roof in a mister club, I do not feel that way anymore and for the most part it was a feeling prior joining that kept me from joining earlier. Another thing (more obvious) that kept me from joining was that I am bad in all technical talk, including analyzing tracks. But then I decided that maybe I can bring some different perspective, based on feelings and emotions, and at the end that music is all about, isn't it? My history of electronic music dates back to the end of 1990's. I used to listen to normal trance: DJ Orkidea of Finland and especially his awesome track Unity were my inspiration in those times. Also want to mention another Finnish producer Slusnik Luna with the track Sun which is techtrance. Also techno, especially Detroit type, was a big deal to me: I still love and listen to some classics like Luke Slater-Love. House music was and is neat and from time to time I give it a listen nowadays, especially when it gets close: do you know Lektro Spectral Daze's side project and Lunar Dawn's side project that are house acts? If you don't, go find out because these beloved goa producers make wonderful house music. I am thinking of posting some info of those side projects here on off-topic forum when I have time. Then let's get to the point so let's goaaaaahhh.. First I found Shpongle. That was 2005. Well, that's a genre crossover but psychedelic trance and goa itself I found in 2007 when a big open air party, the legendary Finnish Konemetsä R.I.P ("machine forest" as translated) was arranged close to me. Years went by..I had a few friends who were into genre, but that's was about it: I was not "in the scene" until a big thing happened July 2014: I joined Facebook and got connected with the Balkan goa scene because of my personal history in that area. And, everybody knows Richpa as an awesome guy, but I owe him big thanks for all he has done for me to get connected with the music and like-minded ppl. And for even introducing me some metal bands I wasn't familiar with. Yeah, I am a metalhead: goa/metal 50%/50%. I'd rather say, though, 100%/100% because I have lots of energy for the music I love I like all well produced psy and goa, mainly I listen to newschool goa. But oldschool touch is often great. I am also into nitzho, a lot. Psychill goes, too. But I seldom listen to downtempo, though. I like it fast. Morning goa is a bit weird thing in my listening palette: I love it when I hear good stuff, e.g. new Aurora Sidera by Suntrip has it, but with this subgenre tracks I get bored very fast. So perseverance is the word. We have lots of input of new music living present times, but actually quite a few tracks get the status from me that they stay. If they do, I show it, mainly posting thanks and maybe some comments on the producer's official fb page if there is such a page. If and when this is an introduction I cannot leave this out: I am occupied with Children Of Bodom Hate Crew (fan club). COB is a death metal band from Finland. There's been some psy/goa producers and even labels giving me thanks for the promo work I am doing nowadays (mainly in fb), but all I can say is that what comes to fanship and spreading the love, I was trained in the best possible school: Children of Bodom Hate Crew High School WE know how to support! I will not mind if I get fb friend requests from the members of psynews, so here's my link https://www.facebook.com/AnuRaskuand Soundcloud is https://soundcloud.com/anu-katariina-rasku And because I really love this classic normal trance track from my countrymate DJ Orkidea released 1999, I thought I'd share it. The only opportinity to post it on psynews is now and here Nice to meet you all!
  13. P.S. In social media that representativeness brought up in this thread hardly works. I am not representing anything..still I share freely around from a fan perspective and have linked psynews topics in fb groups, Twitter and even on Soundcloud comments: btw, the last one is close to a perfect place to catch potential ppl, who are not in. I don't think I am spamming, though. Actually got thanks from one record label owner for drawing attention to their stuff since the label does not have psynews account and so he got to know through fb what's being talked here. Sometimes this psy/goa scene by the way bothers me: one should represent or have great knowledge before he/she is supposed to share to some, comment here on forums or start a topic. And to be a guru for making a review Some of my friends are scared to join psynews because of that.
  14. It didn't catch much persistent fire then, did it? 3 timeline updates this year and 6 last year so appr. one update every second month. Good channel to know, if psynews is down. In my opinion the site is not so much needed because in the end it is up to members to link their own wall or fb groups psynews content that's interesting. And no "representativeness" needed that way. But the page is there and soon 1000 likes I said it is not maybe so much "needed" and by that I meant artist announcements/review updates etc. but I am glad if and when someone finds the forum through its fb site. So the page def deserves to be. There are way many more pages in fb of lesser importance, for every opening of an envelope, as we all know. Btw, Richpa, admire your younger energy to having gotten involved with all possible, lol So all the roads lead to Richpa (..eh, Rome)
  15. Exactly! That's why I am so in love with the stuff Neogoa has provided lately (and in the past, too: a good example being DJ Stevo Multiverse set released 2012 on Ektoplazm summoning up the best of Neogoa during the first two years of the label's existence: that release is a must-have so check it out if you still haven't) and is continuing with e.g. Proxeeus that should be with us soon, maybe July, after Ektoplazm is back from the break. I have this Goasia CD but it is gathering pretty much dust on it after few spins But I am glad Suntrip is taking a better (read: more to my taste) direction with new Aurora Sidera!
  16. http://www.ektoplazm.com/mixes/dj-stevo-multiverse I could handle my whole future with only this one if you can only pick one :-)
  17. Thank you! And yeah, Kolovrat is pleasantly unusual
  18. Hey dude! This is important but I think you posted on a wrong forum (Artist News and Labels Annonucements). Look at the spinned rules of this spesific forum, please, and start this discussion under a proper thread. Cheers!
  19. I have a little bit probs with slower goa/psy; I listen normally around 140-150 BPM so it has to be a really good stuff if I buy this kind. Crystal clear is that this is hell of a release of its kind. Suitably "acidic". The first track is my nr 1 so far and after all and jbc-Arkadii & co also are contributing great. For this not turning into a review I leave it here and throw the ball forward: get this album, you will not be disappointed!!
  20. Released June 2015 Tracklist: 01 Chronos-Urban Life 02 Mentalimage-Somewhere Between Worlds 03 E-Mantra-Minimal Butterfly 04 Spectrum Vision-Inox (Chronos Remix) 05 Jbc-Arkadii & Konstantin Zhirov-Meteor Fall 06 G-Light Feat. M.Mayborn-Mysteries of Light 07 Synsun-Mechanical 08 Jbc-Arkadii-Aquanautica 09 Harax-Rill 10 Filteria-Lyva This album is my newest catch and since I did not find any announcement of it so far here, I thought I'd post. http://hadorecords.com/discography/various-locomotion/hdrcd05/ http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/hdo/hdo1cd005.html
  21. I also want to quote these words; they melted my heart. Two labels I consider ultimate professionals are Neogoa and Suntrip. And Lunar Dawn as an artist is of supreme level. The guys are so down-to-earth and I wish them all the best for their future endeavours which absolutely are of the best expectable quality, indeed.
  22. True. Their webshop is even the best: the download link comes in a minute to e-mail. Not with psyshop: just bought an hour ago this http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/hdo/hdo1cd005.html (because of two jbc-Arkadii tracks) and still no link :-(
