  2. Congratulations I adress my wishes of happiness and health to the newborn and to the family. Have fun rising up that little human being.
  3. It's going to be a psyprog album actually.
  4. Peter Zsolt : the power of Filteria., the dreaminess of E-Mantra, the delicacy of Jaïa, the spirituality of Pleiadians... This guy had got so deep into my mind with his album that it is a part of my brain now. A new album from him is one of my greatest desires. Seriously, he created a kind of "Angelic Goa Trance" that was a pure love letter to imagination. I hardly find better ways to get inspired. And I think that there were none Trance producers that went as far as him in the realm of dreams. Back to Space was a unique album of Science-Fantasy whose programming was a pure wonder. I can't thank that guy enough for the pleasure he gave me. Please, Mr. Zsolt, hear my prayer : give us more !
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ql09E_2tSmU&index=11&list=UUug457-Y1J1UO2HkInV1R6w Wow ! For me who like Goa 604 and Fantasy Trance, this track is a pure mind-blower. I'm in a trance right now.
  6. Sounds interesting. Really. I'll explore this a little further when I have time. And then deliver an opinion. Btw, (since you claim you're influenced by Japanese game culture) if you make Touhou arrangements, I will love you so much.
  7. Yo ! The last track from Crossing Mind (PsyKo-Mind Porteur 2014) at 06:00 makes me reallt think in Omegahertz - Girl from the Sun at 01:40 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVMcHqjtICM It's like the same melody, but on a different tone.
  8. I just found this on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4CjZocMSpA I'm seriously considering having the CD.
  9. You might like this as well. But it's psybient rather than trance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fXQa5VIrlM
  10. Welcome to Psynews. The first one I am thinking comes from a fresh release. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kFGFuTsfVg&list=PLobEMHfBbtTaH6pzFOE93V9LMfVSgPdaK&index=3 I'm looking for some more right now.
  11. "Psynews ! I'm coming to hurt your ears ! _NOOOO ! Please !!!! Noooooo !!!!!" "Too late ! I'm coming inside your brain now, Psynews !"
  12. Psytrance is like a cybernetic being. It moves like a machine. Goa is like a living being. It pulses and breathes like an organ.
  13. There are just so many people I'd like to punch in the face. Valdimir Putin Shinzo Abe Kim Jong-Un Benjamin Netanyahu François Hollande Sarah Pallin Oh God, such a delicious dream
  14. Personnally, I would introduce them to newschool first, with a piece of Artifact303, such as For a Better World. My goal would be to show them the modern side of the music, the Goa of today, so that they can't think it is a "dead" music ( I'm not saying oldschool is old-fashionned or unawesome). Since today is today, why not dealing first with the Goa of today ? For instance, if I wanted to introduce techno or DnB to someone, I would choose contemporary products rather than pieces from the 80's.
  15. Booooooya ! So you're going to battle ? That's it ! I'm definitely coming ! (What I'm figuring out : Goa battle ! Goa battle ! )
  16. The intro is pretty common. The overall structure of the track is a little bit simplistic. The energy is much driving. Interesting psychedelic sound at 03:40 that reminded me of Crossing Mind, and a delicate melodic climax in a Posfordian style. Very psychedelic, pretty energizing, but the first half sounded too "intellectual" to my ears, and the "ping-pong ball" samples were seriously irritatating. Though, it's a good psy-track. 6.9/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_udZal-JHUg
  17. @ Orange. I fell into the Goa world in 2011. I disliked Etnica/Pleiadians until late 2013. I found it to be absolutely boring and untasty. Now, I understand their universe and can dig into it. You just need a key to enter their music, since it is pretty hard to get inside.
  18. We do agree. I was just trying to explain that quality. After all, we are the Zidane of the Psy-scene. Bonus : unreleased psybient made in Suduaya https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAQUiEtZ7-o I think it sums up well the French spirit. Creative and mental.
  19. I also notice there are currently more known French Goa artists than French Progressive artists in the contemporary scene. Edit : and more French Goa artists than in any other genre of trance in general.
  20. I find it to make common points between such different artists as Crossing Mind, Total Eclipse and Asura. But thinking about it, there are two French characteristics : _emphasis on the retro side of Psy _emphasis on the futuristic side of Psy They are always very careful when it comes to design a track, and very attached to the atmosphere and the spirit of the track. Yes, they like witty/spiritful Psy IMO. It seems to me that French artists think of a psy more like a mental experience than a dance music. Then, this would explain the global quality of the scene. You want appreciation for the artists : they are productive, they are not lazy, they are extremely entertaining, and they are cautious of delivering a good product. My personnal favorites : Asia 2001, Akshan, Suduaya, Asura, Toï Doï, old Jaïa. All of those have a unique signature, that make or made them avant-guarde. (edit : I forgot to give love to PharaOm, Khetzal, Crossing Mind and Merr0w^^ : contemplative and serious trance music)
  21. French scene : tiny, but incredible. It is a feature of French culture. Since I live in the country I can understand it better : in France, mainstream culture is divided into two kind of products : _the culture of the elite, meant to be boring and unreachable. _the culture of the mass, meant to be tasteless. The only contemporary brilliant pieces of French art expanding worldwide have two features : _it is art made by people in contact and produced with foreign countries _it is an art relying either on foreign culture (curiously enough, France has a poor cultural background, then the artist feed on other cultures : America, Japan, etc.) or on new technologies (comics, video games, animation : we're very good at it, because since it is not part of the elite or mass culture, we are not bound by social conventions and can create with much imagination). This especially applies to Goa culture in France : a tiny underground scene relying on contact with other cultures and new technologies (synths, softwares), with international network, released on foreign labels, and including ideas and influences of other cultures. That's why all we produce in Goa/Psy, as well as in other (really interesting ) cultural areas is at the same time rare and awesome. TL;DR : French have poor imagination except when it comes to nationally unrecognized niches based on innovative perspectives. In those niches, French are excellent. It especially applies to Psy/Goa in France.
