Speaking as a person who writes reviews, I read a lot of them. I like to see other reviewer's writing style. I check out albums that have artists I like mainly. Death Posture was a great reviewer and Jon has mastered the goa review. Sometimes I will review an album that I thought I would like, but didn't. That review can be a little harsh. It makes me feel good when people read what I write and either enjoy it or learn something from it. Mdk

Afgin - Astral Experience (SUNCD15)
Trance2MoveU replied to a topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Is that even possible? Top 5 reasons to love goa: 1. Filteria- Daze of Our Lives 2. Merrow- Born Underwater 3. Mindsphere- Inner Cyclone 4. Amithaba Buddha- Goa Gate 5. Ra- 9th Add Agneton's album and the soon to be released Afgin disc....tastsy. :posford: Mdk -
Like most artists, their music evolves and matures over time. The latest track I have heard from them is on the VA- Motion Sensor called "Awareness." And it rips. Give it a go Jon, very cool. Mdk

Aerosis News and upates!
Trance2MoveU replied to Aerosis's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Any info on album release date? Just finished listening to Filteria's "Daze of Our Lives (again) and see that Afgin's album will be out in Three weeks. If the Aerosis album would come out soon that would be a triple play of awesomeness! Mdk -
I would agree with the above rating. Great sounds and atmosphere, although some of the tracks just didn't seem to have any direction. Mdk

I use the Iaudio U2. It is a small flash drive player so no batteries needed. You can charge it up by connecting it to the computer via USB. The charge lasts for several hours. I have the 512 MB version but I think you can get 1 GB. The earbuds it comes with are pretty good. It has a lot of features (FM radio, never use it, line in recording, never use it). It comes with software, but I don't use that either, as I just hook it up to the cpu and open music folders. Simple. Lastly, it is very cheap and you don't have to mess with iTunes! Here is the version I have: http://www.cowonamerica.com/products/iaudio/u2/ Mdk

2009 - Shaping up to be an amazing year for psy!

His tracks are magical! Looking forward to it! Mdk -
Well said Abasio. I was disappointed UNTIL the Jaia track and was floored by the smooth, mellow Jairamji track Temple. That was absolutely outstanding! Mdk

Just picked this one up...what a gem! I started with Acid Killer and it didn't disappoint. Such Power! If Infected did music like this I would still be a fan. Impossible Vortex was ok, but I don't think it aged well. L.S.Dance didn't impress me but Crazy D wasn't bad. Time Bubbles was a juicy treat but didn't hold its promise. Overall, Acid Killer is the only smasher here for me, but I am not upset. After all this was the beginnings of full-on and I think everyone was suffering from a post-goa hangover. Mdk

Yes that would be awesome :clapping: Mdk

This is an awesome goa compilation. So many classics. :posford: Howling at the Moon? Granada? Magnetic Activity? Gift of the Gods? Moonraker (MWNN Remix)? You bet.

Atmos - Tour De Trance CD (Spiral Trax, December 2008)
Trance2MoveU replied to pr0fane's topic in 2008
This is exactly what was advertised. The kicks are soft like a down pillow forest and the bass lines are bouncy and crisp. The pads add a lush background. I like the attention to detail where no space is wasted. I could've done without some of the vocal samples as they tend to distract, but overall pretty solid. 7.5/10. Take out the vocals and it shoots to a 9/10. Mdk -
No Yabai love? I had forgotten about Goa Gate...great stuff! I can't wait to go through my list! Mdk

It is funky and seems to still have a little bit of that gothic style he is known for, which is cool. I wasn't overly impressed with this however. It's not full of power and to my ears comes off as "light sounding". The sounds give the tracks this weird quality that I cannot get into, almost like if you were listening to an opera in space. Meh, that's why tastes differ I suppose. Mdk

I should be sleeping, but I couldn't turn this off. VERY emotive and well produced. The Son Kite track On Air was full of goodness. Awesome disc! I really think there really should be a chilled out emoticon. Mdk

I guess I will weigh in on this. I'm sure to be in the minority here, but I didn't think this was so spectacular. I think the Merr0w track is the best, but I have heard it before. Good yes, revolutionary not so much. That being said, any label releasing goa is fine by me. Time for another listen, because there is no bad goa, just clogged ears. Mdk

This gets better with each listen. The pad on Insect & Insect Bite is mind altering. Point of no return is a goa anthem in my book. Mdk

New Braincell album - Frequency Evolution
Trance2MoveU replied to Drosophila's topic in General Psytrance
I liked it. I think I was a little disappointed because his last effort was such a smash that I raised the bar really high. This album is a different style, as mentioned above, but still worth the price of admission. Tough to top Transformation of Reality. Mdk -
Your favorite Suntrip Records releases
Trance2MoveU replied to Jon Cocco's topic in General Psytrance
I absolutely detested Ka-sol. Just did nothing for me. All the others though were magic. 1. Khetzal - What happened to him? Another album? 2. Filteria- Sky Input 3. Filteria- Heliopolis 4. Ra- 9th 5. Twist Dreams Mdk -
OOOD: Fourthought - Phar Psyde Records
Trance2MoveU replied to Colin OOOD's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
I think with any recent Oood release, you have to get deep into it before a judgment can be made. On first couple of listens, it's good but not essential. However with this artist, I am willing to go further down the rabbit hole. Mdk -
Great news! Mdk
