  1. definitely underrated. Sure, now he does full-on, but it is acid heavy, groove intensive stuff. I would argue that he is as important to this scene as Astral was. Mdk
  2. Definitely a progressive fell to it. My favorite tracks were Rock and Roll Refugee and Basic Instinct. Good stuff. Mdk
  3. Very enjoyable comp. And for free, you just can't beat it. Loved the Afgin track, but also the Apis one. Swirling melody craziness. An album from this individual would not be remiss. Mdk
  4. So why post now? Finish a review and then post. Mdk
  5. Astrix. I don't know what IM makes now but it definitely isn't psy. The glamour of Classical has long since worn off. Astrix has still had some bangers. Tryambaka Vs. Frozen Ghost. Mdk
  6. Agreed. This is not "Goa Gate" or "Inner Cyclone" This is lush, thick trance with overlying goa elements yet always remaining psychedelic. Mdk
  7. Just listening to this today and these albums are really good! To be clear: Goa Syndrome is just the name of the compilation, right? The artist is the Imperial Project? Mdk
  8. Macao? Ministry of Chaos? Future Cuts? Pick any of the "A Taste of Dragonfly" comps. Mdk
  9. Love the Riley Avatar. The Boondocks is a great show. I hope they come out with a season three, but it doesn't look likely. Threadjack! Mdk
  10. The most awesome Downtempo song I have ever heard: Sol remix by Solar Fields on Dreamy! Mdk
  11. Anti Deluvian Rocking Horse....seriously, WTF? Mdk

    V/A - Sun Tribe 1

The first half of this comp bored the crap outta me, but you have to put it into context. 2000 was a time when goa and their beautiful melodies were passe and monotonous droning was all the rage. Some tracks were good, like the Morphem one and the feurehake track. EU's track was a nice one as well. Not one of my fave comps. Mdk
  13. Are you sure we are not related? I also felt this was very hollow with almost no surprises. It sounded the same all the way through and Azax is nowhere near the wicked powerhouse he used to be. Remember Hagi Gat? Big Mystery? I miss that insanity. Don't even ask about Bliss. What the hell was that last album all about? Someone should be in the Looney Bin. Mdk
  14. Well said brother. It is still a great album for high energy power, but it does have its share of misses. Still, worth the buy and better than most of the cluby shit out there. Mdk
  15. Destination Goa influence, my friend? Really looking forward to the wave of Nitzo-goa. Mdk
  16. Normally I hate mix cds as they cut the track length, but I sometimes like to hear how the classics are mixed. Mdk
  17. Man, first Ocean Drops and now this! Fabulous work my friend. I have created a folder just for your tracks. They are that good. Mdk

    X-Dream - The Frog

I always found "the Frog" to be highly repetitive and boring. Never understood what the fuss was about. This 12" was snooze city UNTIL "No Guilt Trip." That track is a powerful mover in the fine goa tradition! Mdk
