  1. I just saw this at Saiko: http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ase.asp?id=7952 So much delicious goa to digest! I am loving it! :posford: Just to keep score: Merr0w, Filteria, Afgin, VA- Suncokreti, VA- Organic Vision Vol. 1, VA- Ya Wichna, VA- Pure Planet Vol. 3, VA- The Sitting Goddess, VA- People Walk Funny. So we are waiting on...Radical Distortion, E-Mantra, Artha (What's going on?) Ypsilon5, and Aerosis( what's going on here as well?) So happy! Mdk
  2. So how do I get my hands on this? Are any still available? Mdk
  3. Man, I gotta get this disc. I wasn't too high on Nighttime Lullabies but maybe this will be better. Stories are good. Mdk
  4. Still kicks major ass. :posford: Mdk
  5. Ha-ha! So true. His tracks on comps tend to consistently be the weakest. I respect his attempts, as it isn't easy to create moving music, but...um...swing and a miss. Mdk
  6. So it is DarkPsy? Like, monotone bass lines, absence of melodies, harsh, piercing sounds Darkspy? Or is it something Nexus Media or Timecode could've released? You know what I'm talking about Ormion. Mdk
  7. For me the best song was the final track; not only for its very moving quality, but because it was the final track. Mdk
  8. I'm going to use a phrase that shouldn't leave any grey areas...It blows. Mdk
  9. Having never been to this type of festival, what happens here. Is there dancing? If so, what kind of dancing do you do to downtempo and ambient tunes? Is it just relaxing and everyone gets high? Just wanted to know. Mdk
  10. Gotta agree with the hippie here, there is so much better stuff out there. Mdk
  11. Loved it. bwhale, I don't think you can just listen to ambient, you have to be in the mood for it. But, that's why tastes are subjective. Mdk
  12. This would make a good coaster for a glass of water. Here is an example of one of the most disappointing albums. How many were expecting great things from this one? Failed miserably. Blatant cash grab? Mdk
  13. Oh I fully agree. I have listened to far shittier tracks than any on the Talpa album, but the title of the thread was albums that disappointed you most. I was expecting Talpa to drop another masterpiece. Something again with the medieval theme but maybe with a lot more acid. Swing and a miss. Mdk
  14. Ouch. Yes I do. *street cred runs out the door only to get hit by a truck.* Mdk
  15. Great topic! Let's see... Talpa- When Soberness Becomes A Game. Their first effort was groundbreaking. We waited 5 years for this? Bliss- Looney Bin. WTF? GMS- Emergency Broadcast System. Yeah they've been going downhill for quite sometime. Don't know why I was surprised. Aquatica- Ocean of Emotion. Pop full on cheese. Man With No Name- Violent Relaxation. You heard it. You know what I'm talking about Celtic Cross- Hicksville remastered. Let's put a lot of sounds together and see how it sounds. Damage- Bad Creationz. I don't like my music to be angry at me. Digital Talk- New Age Surf. Could've been somuch better. If they re-made it today I think it would be awesome. I'm sure there are a lot more. Mdk
  16. I recently had a son and am getting ready to relocate, and barely have time for listening to music. I recently wrote a review on Isratrance for Chakra's Crossover and Earthling's Hypernature. I am in the process of writing 2 reviews and hopefully they will be done soon. Like you, I am eagerly awaiting Midnight Storm 4 and anything from Yabbai! I appreciate you reading my reviews. I hope to get back to doing it on a more consistent basis. Mdk
  17. Speaking as a person who writes reviews, I read a lot of them. I like to see other reviewer's writing style. I check out albums that have artists I like mainly. Death Posture was a great reviewer and Jon has mastered the goa review. Sometimes I will review an album that I thought I would like, but didn't. That review can be a little harsh. It makes me feel good when people read what I write and either enjoy it or learn something from it. Mdk
  18. Is that even possible? Top 5 reasons to love goa: 1. Filteria- Daze of Our Lives 2. Merrow- Born Underwater 3. Mindsphere- Inner Cyclone 4. Amithaba Buddha- Goa Gate 5. Ra- 9th Add Agneton's album and the soon to be released Afgin disc....tastsy. :posford: Mdk
  19. Like most artists, their music evolves and matures over time. The latest track I have heard from them is on the VA- Motion Sensor called "Awareness." And it rips. Give it a go Jon, very cool. Mdk
  20. Any info on album release date? Just finished listening to Filteria's "Daze of Our Lives (again) and see that Afgin's album will be out in Three weeks. If the Aerosis album would come out soon that would be a triple play of awesomeness! Mdk
  21. I would agree with the above rating. Great sounds and atmosphere, although some of the tracks just didn't seem to have any direction. Mdk
