  1. Car-bon-Ba-sed-Li-fe-Forms 7 syllabnles magic number check it out ... can't mention this often enough
  2. depends on various otehr factors too but in general: yes, 128k is lower than CD "192 is like CD" people said years ago meanwhile I'd say 256k is like CD, but 320 is optimal
  3. there is a way to distinguish house from trance from other music stuff: look at the chicks believe me
  4. Old Koxbox was great new Koxbox ... mmmmmmmh ... I dunno too much of it to be honest, but mmmmmh ... on the first listen it's not as good as the older stuff.
  5. I don't see what is SOOO bad about this cover. It's nothing great by any means, but it's not that bad. The concept idea of a hippie bus serviced by hot chicks is a symbol of the downgoing and the commercialisation of the true hippie/goa spirit ... and that's an intelligent idea. The drawing is somewhat unskilled though ... but the essential idea is not that bad.
  6. S-RANGE - SPACE and for psy-ambient: CARBON BASED LIFEFORMS - HYDROPONIC GARDEN those two are a must IMHO
  7. oops, me too
  8. that Analog Pussy cover has something intelligent about it though... AP are too witty to just plainly make a stupid cover with nothing behind it. They did this with a clear intention. And this makes the cover not gay or bad at all...
  9. not only you hope that many people here prefer a fuller blow musically ... this is the first time I'll see ambient/chill artists here in Austria ... maybe we had a few of them before already, but it can't have been much... But I don't care ... I'll be there, front row
  10. We've got this two day festival ... I mentioned it already somewhere ... but I didn't mention that SOLAR FIELDS and AES DANA both will be playing live on the chill floor! That's going to be a marvellous night! Starting off with ambient soundscapes right into the next year ... I can't wait
  11. hmmm ... that's difficult as some artists change their style S-Range for example ... every passionate progressive listener would probably get a heart attack when he/she hears what this guy is producing nowadays ...
  12. Ethereal... that's a packet sniffer, right?
  13. S-RANGE - Live At The DNA Lounge (7-12-2003) Soon, soon, soon I'm going to see that really live
  14. yes, that's true We have a bar called "Chill Out" here ... the last time I have been there (mostly it's all chock full because many people go there ) they had a DJ spinning slow house-ish and progressive chill music ... haven't heard psychill there, but it was very nice, I liked it a lot! When you don't go into the "mainstream" party bars in our town (where there are too many stupid kiddies and chavs anyway) you will find that there are some of them that play quite good music - that's ranging from black metal to electronica and chill out, you just have to know where to go
  15. I don't even like the cover art
  16. No visual problems, the site looks as always from here. yeah, yeah, a blacklight theme! (that request is ages old already btw )

  18. You know, honestly and truely I'd prefer if Posford wouldn't be in that DJ toplist at all. Not because I don't like him but because I like him! Seriously ... it's mostly commercial trance, eurodance and technoheads voting - what do they have to do with psytrance? Nothing! And thus psy DJs should be left out of that list and we should make our own where the DJs really get the place they deserve.
  19. exactly It's all about the flow ... the flow must continue. A change from full on to progressive to dark to breakbeat isn't very harmonic IMO, I wouldn't like that.
  20. I also made a successful trade with Matt ... package arrived yesterday. I second that the condition of the vinyls is very good! Guess if I had bought them new (and expensive) in a shop they would look almost the same. And that makes me extra happy I totally recommend this guy!
  21. oh hehe, I wasn't so impressed by the first one ... it's not typical CBL for me, you know ... it's too melancholically and calm (I can understand why you like it though, your music is somewhat in that vein, mood-wise)... I like the third one in the preview a lot more, because it has this characteristical acid synth line that I associate with CBL, nobody else has it in that way ... and the fourth one and especially the fifth one are great ones too - also because they are more in that typical CBL style and yet still something fresh! And also the second last one sounds marvellous too! But the clips are aso short, you know ... can't really concentrate or get into anything here ... I'd need the full thing to really be able to deliver an useful opinion.
  22. I don't know the album to be honest ... but I have seen Aphid Moon live and was not that impressed...
  23. What is Scann-Tec? Or Sundial? Are those sublabels I always thought Aes Dana himself is the head of Ultimae Records...
  24. See, that's what I wanted to hear from Psyshop! And you see, they admit it was done by intention, no mistake. But as they are excusng themselves all is well again. And Psyshop has its reputation back for me
  25. Metamorphoses ... "C'Est La Vie" and "Hey Gargarin" are my absolute favourite Jarre songs. And the rest on that album is really good aswell, only in the second half it weakens... and Chronologie
