  1. I thought Seb said there is nothing unreleased? Also new tracks at all? I mean he's already made 2 new tracks for Opus Iridium and Planet Riders comp.
  2. Please read and respect these rules/guidelines before posting new reviews. 1. Please use the appropriate release year before posting . If you're posting in a "multiple year" thread (ie. 1990-1994) then specify the release year in the thread title. 2. If youre an artist / label that wants to promote a new release please use the Promos group and not this one! ANY promos found in the reviews section will be moved and the one responsible for it warned. 3. This section is for psytrance reviews and psytrance related genres reviews. If you want to discuss the best releases this year, what albums should be considered classics, the reviews section layout, the quality of reviews, the latest Tool release, want to request a review, etc. etc., then please use the General or Off-Topic sections of the forum! This is intended for psytrance music and subgenres so no reviews of parties or other music genres. A bigger tolerance will be allowed for old stuff (stuff released before 96) since back then there wasn't an "official definition" of psytrance. Also chillout/ambient genres are allowed as per usual. 4. Before posting a new review, check if a review of the album hasnt already been written. If its the case then write your review in the already existing thread and do NOT open a new one! Finding older topics should be easy, use the Search function: type part or the whole album title and dont forget to limit the search to the subforum of the year you want to post in. If you're starting a new thread for a compilation then you should ALWAYS write the title under the format : "V/A - Name of comp". So that all the compilations will be easier to find. So do NOT start a topic with "VA" (no "/" between the V and the A) or "V/A :" (":" instead of "-"), "VA Name of Comp" (no "-" between the V/A and the name) etc. 5. When opening a new thread put the name of the album and artist in the topic title and make sure it doesnt have any typos (or else the search function wont work). If you made a mistake, you can easily re-edit the title by using the Edit button at the end of your post, if that function is not working, then use the report function and report your topic to moderators asking to correct the typos. 6. The new psynews staff has decided that first review, or first post, should always be longer than normal. This doesn't mean an essay by any means. A nice example of a short but still informative review would be this which is around 400 words long without release details. People come here to read about the release, to get some information how it is and stuff like "this release is killagrgrhrhrg" won't tell them anything. After the first post you can post mini-reviews and discussion if you so wish, but no derailing of a thread is allowed. If you feel so strongly about something that does not generally have much to do with the release, please make a thread in an appropriate section and stop posting in the review thread. 7. Personal grudges against artists or reviewers are not welcomed and will be deleted and might lead to moderation so try to use your brain before posting. If you have anything to say to the artist or another reviewer you can always PM (Private Message) or e-mail them. 8. When you open a thread please include Cover Art, Tracklist(preferably with track lengths), release date, label etc. relevant information regarding the album you are reviewing. Also it might be a good idea to include links to shops that are selling the release. 9. For color or size codes please do not over-do with them and remember this forum has 2 skins so the color white won't show up on another and color black won't on the other. Also remember to clean up font formatting that may be carried over when copying your review from one site to another. For Image usage, it is allowed to post images or gifs in reviews but for images try to keep them relatively small so it won't make the review look cluttered and cause problems for readers. Here is a few well made reviews that should give the general idea on how a review should look. X X X X Happy reviewing!
  3. Dam delays. I wanna hear this alredy.
  4. LOVE. Why is it that DnB is the only thing that catches me off guard so often? Nothing else does this.
  5. Thanks for writing a review. My favourite prog goa/psy album maybe ever! Only problems are some tracks tend to become repetitive, I would like to see more crazy bassline key changes, like in Eleven or more melodies like in Cosmic Web. However those are the only negative aspects I can say, otherwise you're going to hear insanely lush atmospheres with top of the line production and groovy sound design. For me this album was quite mindblowing, did not know prog could be so good. Definitely worth a purchase for any psy collection.
  6. Filteria - Operation Pulse Literally 10 minutes of goose bumps. I don't get those often these days.
  7. I would be eternally grateful if anyone managed to get Alienated Buddha - Ekaterinburg original WAV file or at least 320kbps mp3. It's truly a shame that track never got a better release than 64kbps. http://www.boomtrack.net/player/Alienated_Buddha/Ekaterinburg
  8. di.fm space dreams is a good way to find several artists.
  9. CD, I will probably get the vinyl one day too, really love that cover art. Also it was one of the few old schoolers I still really want badly, there's not a whole lot more now. Good man.
  10. I've kinda found myself ignoring this release, I was never a huge fan of schlab sound, although there are some releases and plentiful of great dark goa tracks released. This album is pretty snazzy, though. Great sound design and atmospheres. It even reminds me of the darker California Sunshine sound, really fresh and imaginative compared to a lot of stuff released today. However I would like to point out that repeated sample use and really raw mastering tend to put me off from prolonged listens. I hope the sample use in future won't be so abrasive, you can use them, sure, but use them with more care. The Overabundant repetition pulls away from the music pretty fast especially when done like in tracks 3 and 4. Otherwise I'm glad there are some still out there who care for this darker goa style.
  11. Finally a decent price on discogs. Let's just hope the quality is as advertised.
  12. If you enjoy self-mutilation, then go for it!
  13. I edited the title and merged threads. I assume he made a new one to clear confusion about what he was exactly selling, as in not a cd.
  14. That was horrible... GET IT AWAY FROM ME
  15. No no, I was just adding that for sure not all are cheesy, just 90% of them are.
  16. Also SUN Project had some good guitar traXXX on Macrophage, however 90% of the rest was pretty bad.
  17. I would like to write something lengthier for Juno Reactor. They really deserve a fresh look from the goa scene. Past albums have strayed very far with the genre, although still very good, but the new one honestly redeems everything people have had an issue with since labyrinth. It's a lot like BibleXShango and I think Final Frontier is one of the coolest throwbacks ever, very hammy and cheesy but it works because it is self-aware.
  18. I am ashamed I never did write a review for this. Since 2011 things have changed and I don't find the mastering as dreadful as I might have before, it ain't great but it doesn't completely break the album. Some tracks have it worse than others(which might have clouded this train of thought even more so) of course, but generally I find it passable now from start to end, however, the musical quality has grown even stronger for me. It is simply put some of the most intelligent work I've heard. Ever-changing beautifully constructed colossal space operas. The incredible attention to detail in such a strong drum n bass environment makes me realize how easily most DnB gets away with doing barely anything. And this just goes to show, it is literally taking the best parts of several genres and meshing it together into a dark cyberpunk scifi epic. You have catchy, trippy and sometimes emotional melodies and details from psy, fast paced groundwork of DnB and strongest atmospheres from industrial. It will become an issue as if it's not 100% of something, and it's already aiming in the middle of the most underground one's, scenes tend to ignore them as they aren't fully representative. Regardless, this album is a masterpiece in it's own right - It's just very unfortunate it will remain out of the spotlight in just about any scene it might fit in, just because of it's obscurity in what it does. I do wonder if there is a proper scene for this stuff? Well I'm just glad I can fully appreciate what it offers, as I never had problems with giving these particular genres an open mind. There's just one last huge pet peeve I have... why can't I buy this on CD? I managed to snag The Scythe Of Orion from Ektoplazm but this one was never available. I don't often find myself crying for physical releases but Cybernetika is one of those artists who should grace your collection with it's might. I can't say much else than it's a shame Cybernetika has kind of... disappeared? We had every year since 2007 an album stronger than the last one and it really did peak with this one, but then it just stopped.. Burnout? I hope not! There have been some individual tracks with long time-spans between but that's about it. ( check https://soundcloud.com/zg-n-zalay/cybernetika-mellow-sonic ) Hopefully someday he will come back to surprise us once more, regardless of genre.
  19. Fucking what! The track is alright for cheesy fullon(Good production), but that vocal thrown there, are you serious!?? It ruined everything. WHY DO THEY DO THAT? BEHOLD CHEESUS IS HERE
  20. Didn't really specify what type of anime? Well.. there's one that pops to my mind before anything else. Attack On Titan. If you don't enjoy the most emotionally (and graphically) violent things then don't watch it! It will leave you disgusted and depressed, on many occassions(First episode is the worst..), however putting those things aside, it is one of the most incredible animes ever released. It seems silly at first, but the way it pulls you in is like no other, you start craving for answers and the fragility of the extremely good characters creates some of the most intense scenes ever. The music and art are also top tier, hell, I'd say they're the best I've seen an anime series deliver yet(arguably). The quality of it is sky high from start to finish, I still get chills just thinking about those action scenes. + it has the creepiest... oh my fucking god what is wrong with your eyes!?
  21. Yeah no need to start arguing, I'd suggest if you don't have patience then better to contact Anjuna and/or get a refund and ordering it from somewhere else. I find this situation a bit bizarre as my last oder came so promptly but alas shit happens. I do think post offices around the world tend to suck more and more anyway these days, no matter if holiday or not..
