  1. I respectfully couldn't disagree more You have made this overstatement many times. I kind of like his last album though, on a different direction from the other albums.
  2. Ok, we got it. You love Nova Fractal. Not my cup of tea either. Not bad per se (far from being bad) but definitely not the best goa out there, if you ask me.
  3. As far as I know he is busy with work/family and doesn't produce music anymore.
  4. Artha Crossing Mind Proxeeus Green Nuns Of The Revolution Hallucinogen Dimension 5 / Hunab Ku Chronos Edited: I like almost everything I have listened from them (maybe not love 100%, but really close).
  5. I personally don't consider the artists I like as idols. I just see you guys as regular people with their flaws who make awesome crazy music because they like it . That's why for me goa/psy trance is the underground scene mainly, definitely not what's happening in most festivals, as Kristian mentioned. So yeah, in some cases perhaps things went wrong or even out of control. It won't make much of a difference to me, so if you want, you can spit them out, I personally don't care

  7. https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/65202-zirrex-lost-in-time-hado-records-reissue/?hl=zirrex Yes, it's totally worth getting it IMO. There is a lot of madness in it Plus, you get a 3xCD at the price of a regular album.
  8. @ Purple Sunray You are wrong, I believe the majority of the regular users here really love this music. If they believe something is shitty why not say it? A lot of good releases receive positive feedback, so the one who wanted to complain is you
  9. I just listened to this: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/arborean-sophic-hydrolith I think there were no voice samples. Pretty good release actually.

    Harax - Theia

Artist: Harax Album: Theia Label: Awakening records Date: 27 Mar 2012 Tracklist: 1. Lost - 4:52 2. Diomedea - 8:22 3. Blizzard - 7:15 4. Again - 7:27 5. Libration - 6:31 6. Explain - 4:43 7. Albedo - 6:45 8. Trace - 6:59 9. Twilight - 6:17 10. Tidal - 4:00 Many Ukrainians and Russians make downtempo/ambient music that has a distinct flavour. And they do a good job. Denis Botsvin aka Harax is one of them and he is from Ukraine. Really nice album here. Spacey, cosmic, with a good amount of acid. There are nice melodies throughout the album that uplift the soul. Soothing ambient trance with that cosmic vibe that hypnotizes, before slow 4/4 straight kicks enter in some tracks, sooner or later. The shorter tracks are beatless, and there are also some broken beats. Well-crafted, with attention to details and careful selection of sounds. Music that is definitely not overwhelming and that comes straight out of the soul, I'd say. Melodic, relaxing, harmonious, acidic, uplifting, contemplative are some adjectives that fit to describe this album. If you generally like the Russian/Ukrainian ambient artists and/or acid ambient like CBL, you'll appreciate this. Definitely recommended. 11. Well, nice music & nice people. However, the place is not suitable for such events. Too small! Not enough space to move, let alone dance. Inhaling all that smoke in such a suffocating atmosphere was really unpleasant. I guess you can't expect a lot more in the centre of Athens, but still... Also, there was zero decoration, so the ambience was not what one would expect going to a psy event. My 2 cents
  12. Oh I am going to Athens tomorrow, thanks for posting this! I'll try to come!
  13. Phthalic Vibes is clipping in the last minute. Since no one else mentioned it, I wonder if it is just my copy. Hmm, probably because this CD's duration exceeds 80 minutes...
  14. I haven't listened to the music yet but I like the cover!!

  16. Different Shapes - Searching For Light (El Camino) has already been released on Ektoplazm. Can they participate in the contest??
  17. +1 to what Mergi has said above I haven't bought second hand CDs so far and I don't intend to. It doesn't support the artists, and the prices are higher than brand new CDs. Why would I do it? I'm fine if I can't have a lot of things released years ago, I can live with that ! Plus, there is a lot of old school stuff re-released nowadays. There's so much good music to listen to, I don't even have the time to listen everything. I very much dislike this part of the scene (buying and selling music at exorbitant prices) and, honestly, I think it's silly and futile. No, thanks, I'll pass. I'm not going to enter into this vicious circle!
  18. That's a bold statement you made there. Maybe you need to clean your ears!! Is is just me or Etnica's track sounds less loud than the rest? Thumbs up for the compilation!
  19. Nice list, thanks for writing. I'm sure there are a lot more left out (like Doof, GNOTR, X-Dream). That's why it'd be interesting to see which ones would make it in the top 10 if many people voted in a poll.
  20. Yes, I've actually checked some of Basilisk's Essential Selections. But it would be far more interesting to see the opinion of 20-30 people combined. To make it easier, you could choose 20 albums or exclude compilations (or make 2 different lists). And in the end we'll have a nice long list of classic albums.
  21. Hello psynewsers, here's a suggestion/request for the oldschoolers: I didn't find any "best of" poll from the earlier years. Personally, I'm particularly interested to see results from the years '96 & '97, as there was a lot of output those two years. At first I was introduced to psy music through the free releases in Ektoplazm and then, when I discovered Psynews, I used the "best of" polls as a reference to discover more music. So, I think that a "best of" poll from those early years would be useful for the new generation and for those who are relatively new to the scene, and want to dig into the '90s and not miss the best goa trance that was made during those years. What do you think? Anyone interested?
  22. Great album, I've listened to it many times and I always enjoy it.
  23. Thanks. Solar Origin is good! I also like Fearful Symmetry, Cosmic Trigger and Misra Indica.
