  1. Yes, he's writing new material after I bought him a new harddrive. 1) No I don't and probably will remain so, for now. 2) Ridge Mättöpyörä! Hohoo... it's Mättökiuas. There's a Soundcloud page of mine but not a whole lot material there. Also an album on Ektoplazm.
  2. Sure, I see what you mean. And I'm glad a person like you exists here! Maybe it'll sum up to something relevant. About Finnish active goa artists, there are what I can remember: Nebula Meltdown Aavepyörä Intriga Profetia Me (sort of - maybe going to that direction next)
  3. Sorry Anu but you're mistaken. Has happened 3 times every august since 2012 (with pure old school goa all night) two of them on a small island in Helsinki and last year on a beach in Helsinki as well. Also, Shakta & Etnica (and Anoebis and Afgin as new school represents) were performing old school sets here recently.
  4. Now, nobody's mentioning the epic 1995 track 'Pleiadians', almost reason enough to close this topic. And how about 'Sonic System'? Not bad at all, really glad DAT Records will be publishing these old tracks again in improved sound quality. Tbh, they've got too many good ones to pick, let's say, a top-5. They had such a great level of delivery, that even their more average tracks are enjoyable the least. I do think both IFO & FOL are a bit uneven BUT still consider them classics and think they both carry a couple unmatched, brilliant tracks.
  5. Hi! I made a rmx of this great track about a year ago. Here's the link:
  6. Yes give the guy a bamboo massage bhai.
  7. I just talked to one party organizer here in Finland and he told some people refer it to as "stipe" here, that would imply to need to use of stimulants to enjoy the music.
  8. You say it well, when you say your example guy has different motives (to, let's say, Koxbox that we mentioned) - and it's a taste thing at the end of the day. I'm just here thinking that when I visit a festival - even in Finland these times - I listen to the darkpsy played at night, and I couldn't tell when one track ends and another starts. A good thing? Maybe for some trippers. The festivals have just become so overrun by this mediocre, run-of-the-mill, lowest common denominator psytrance that I can't bare the direction of this genre sometimes. Maybe I'm just too... OLD!
  9. Yeah the bass is just more than one note - I'll give you that. Actually, it's not half bad a track. There's little old Koxbox feel to those trippy melodies going from 3 mins and on. Of course there's good darkpsy out there it's not what I'm saying, probably isn't the intention of OP either, but I'm missing a lot of time a bit of groove/mechanic/hypnotic vibe to it; it's a genre filled with ideas that don't evolve anywhere. Here's an example of dark that I like myself, just to be fair.
  10. That bassline's got some groove to it. If something, it has resemblance to recent Suomi. Sorry mate but I think it's nothing like modern day darkpsy.
  11. It's just so happens, Yogi was after a track with the exact same sample! That is a couple years back, but I do remember when I eventually came across such track - so maybe it's this one (@4min):
  12. Once I had it like this too; it was Hux Flux and can't recall who else playing some NYE party. I couldn't, at some point, comprehend at all it was music, so I had to go out from the party... it was freezing, I remember looking at the stars for like 10 minutes before I had to go in again... this cycle lasted for a couple good hours.
  13. The OP's post is great. Very good remix, taking all the best ingredients of the original and making '15 version out of it. It should not be that hard - especially if you're remixing a great track - but the majority of remixes I've heard prove otherwise.
  14. I do reckon that it's close to impossible if you do psychedelics that have strong visual alteration. But with, let's say magic mushrooms, the psychedelic high is perfectly possible to achieve without a strong visual experience especially if you take a lighter trip. To put it short: some psychedelics only alter your perception about yourself or goals in music. So making the music is not harder than in a normal state, it could be the contrary.
  15. I'm glad for everything you've wrote... could anyone be so kind and perhaps, even make a proper review of it? I'd just be curious to hear even if it is a sort of one time experiment. boom...
  16. Can't believe you got it so cheap. Congrats... x)
  17. Aural Planet vs. Divinorum - Power Liquids Entheogenic - Spontaneous Illumination (1st press) because once again...

    Kuro - Visions Of Mars

All about Plastomer 1. Fantastic track!
  19. Frog's Breath was a track I used to love... nowadays I reckon the production is a bit thin on it, would be a great track otherwise. I used to mail this guy years ago, he even sent me some material, he telling me Frog's Breath was kind of one off experiment for him. Yes would've been great to have more stuff like that from him no doubt...
  20. This kind of track seems to be what people want to hear these days. And it's the same reason I don't go to parties anymore so often. x)
  21. ^ When I had the Zirrex re-release, this one used to float my boat the most. It's got pretty memorable lead melody. I don't think I'd enjoy this kind of stuff anymore without substance abuse lol... x) So, it's quite good in it's own motives and I can appreciate the effort made to do it - but it doesn't trigger me on subjective level (rather irritates me). How to rate it? 8/10 is fair I reckon.
  22. I'm glad to bring the news that my deput that I've worked quite a bit on is out on Ektoplazm! It's called 'Shantimatter' as it's focused on delivering trippy soundscapes in relatively slow tempo. It's a mixture of experimental trance, forest, goa & suomi - but you call it what you want. x) Sab Kuch Milegator - Shantimatter (2015) 01 - Cupcake Rainbow (123 BPM) 02 - Arigates & Sayosnares (126 BPM) 03 - Triptooth's Tribal Reboot (116 BPM) 04 - Massive Silly Cones (126 BPM) 05 - Vocal Volcano (128 BPM) 06 - One Love Dub You So (85 BPM) http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/sab-kuch-milegator-shantimatter I think it's a bit leftfield styled psytrance... I tried to make something fresh and out of the box material. But you be the judge of course. Boomz and hugz, Ridge
  23. This ones a track that has honestly gone under my radar all these years. Yes the melody is epic, it's a very good track! One of those, like mentioned, that would be a dream to have in a bit more modern sounding quality.
