  2. downloading just now, but i already know it will be great
  3. really nice samples and great artwork. looking forward
  4. in my music collection it's all goa ending until radio appears. with the notable exception of juno reactor, which just refuse to be classifyable. the artists from the list in the first post i'm missing in this period are slide, syb unity network, quirk and gms. but i think this sums it up:
  5. i don't think that these two tracks aren't different enough from the other ones to deserve a own subgenre of goa. especially among the old stuff, there's a a lot more variance than here. take for example destination goa vol. 5 (CD1). it's all more towards the harder/daker side of goa, but take Crop Circles - Lunar Civilization, Miranda - Gnocchi and Astral Projection - Life on Mars. Between these tracks i notice a lot more difference than between pharaom's and siam's tracks on omega point.
  6. yep, pascal querner too. i had a look at it, because i know one of the people on the front cover (the austrian psy scene isn't that big after all ). really nice pictures, but tbh not something i would buy.
  7. 1. Astral Projection - Mahadeva 2. MFG - Welcome to the Edge 3. Transwave - Ulysee Voyage #2 4. Etnica - Z-Plane Sunrise 5. Total Eclipse - Waiting for a New Life 6. Hallucinogen - L.S.D. 7. Koxbox - Stratosfierce 2001 8. Pleiadians - Asterope (was Maia before hearing Asterope live at ozora ) 9. Shakta - Micronesia 10. X-Dream - Psychomachine 11. Prana - Taiyo 12. MWNN - Teleport (2000 Remix) 13. Psychaos - ... 14. GNOTR - Conflict 15. Infected Mushroom - ... 16. Electric Universe - Rain (Original Unreleased Version) 17. Chi-A.D. - Sight of the Sages 18. The Infinity Project - Stimuli 19. Cosmosis - Inner Space 20. Oforia - Maximiser especially electric universe and chi-ad were very hard to choose with morning star, luna overdrive, the prayer, and biocandy, exit eternity as competitors. i might choose any of the other tracks if i had answered a day later.
  8. Jikkenteki - An Angel takes Flight 27:23 New Born - The Observer 23:55 Paradise Connection - Source of Emotion 22:33 there are the longest single tracks i have. but most long are rather laid back until you get to modulation which is closely followed by polaris by d5, if you count that one...
  9. totally. even on those crappy speakers, which they used at work to torture me with pop music, you could hear that some of the songs are totally overcompressed (obvious pumping/artifacts). so no, money doesn't guarantee good sound quality at all
  10. i voted both, just because i can. concerning the music just say no is the clear winner.
  11. in india they do play it at the circus: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xvash_goa-track-at-indian-circus_travel#rel-page-3 i've heard "what do you mean infected mushroom is not goa?" (of course referring to new stuff) and of course the typical comments "boom boom", "anyone can make that music", "it's always the same", "it has no melody" (wtf? we're talking about goa), "it's not real music because there are no musicians". but also: someone: "a dj is not an artist anyway" me: "a good dj can be. but the tracks are made by the producer anyway" someone: "wtf? that music is made by djs!"
  12. according to the playlist i have running 95% of the time it's: 62.4% goa 11.2% progressive (mostly melodic) 7.7% fullon 6.6% downtempo 5.6% "other" psytrance (mostly 2001 style minimal psytrance or stuff like talpa) 1.9% acid trance 1.6% darkpsy 1.8% psydub 0.8% dark progressive 0.4% nitzhonot so, yes. mostly goa
  13. macsyndicate! it's been a long time
  14. it really could be anything. my guess: Talking Souls - Karma 209 or Power Source - Goaway or Moog - Euromotors or Brain Accent - Anno Domino (or maybe Orange Acid) or Tim Schuldt - Flower Power or even Aeternum - Highway of light or Etnica - Kumba Mela or Crop Circles - Higher Civilization or anything else, your description fits to something like 30% of goa from that period
  15. i miss the freakyness from 'when the somberness becomes the game' a bit, but it's still a really nice album with a uniquie style.
  16. absolutely nothing. which is great, i hate christmas.
  17. like imaginary guitar notes and imaginary vocals, imaginary posts exist only in the imagination of the imaginer... so, ultimately, who gives a fuck anyway? that's at least what frank would say about this thread
  18. congrats! sounds nice (but needs a bit more distortion ) me want too!
  19. "What sweet images have you found today on the interwebs"
  20. i guess artha is too 'weird' for the op. but concerning goa, antares - astral plane or the whole sundrops v.a. should fit his taste i imagine.
  21. you're right. i remebered something horribly cheesy and thought it was space tribe, i guess i mixed it up (maybe space cat, idk?). now i've listened to some of their releases and it's pretty standard fullon. actually it's no surprise that they still make decent music, when a lot of tracks are collabs with tristan and laughing budda (another one to add to the list of artists whose music hasn't gone downhill). about protoculture: he makes pretty good eurotrance now, but as it's still advertised as psytrance and as we're talking in a psytrance context here, i'd classify his music as becoming crappy. and, let's be honest, none of his recent tracks are close to a classic such as dawn razor . still i listen to his new stuff from time to time when i'm in the mood for normal trance.
  22. if he was a candidate in my country i wouldn't vote for him with his free markets stuff and conservative values. but i certainly think that his ideas for u.s. foreign policy would be good for the rest of the world. so yes, i'm a supporter
  23. eye q cool, a new va by panzar productionz. thanks for the tip, downloading now
