  1. both have a very unique sound, and it would be quite hard to decide if it weren't for mahadeva. if i were to compile a list of the 3 goa classics, there's no way i'd not include mahadeva.
  2. it sounds rather like acid trance than like goa to me. it could be from spect-r, but i know too little about acid trance to be sure or point you into a specific direction there...
  3. i voted for bwhale seriously, i voted for rtp, but agree with the others that appointing both insejn and rtp would be a good move. they'd really complement each other.
  4. wow, this is great. how come that i have completely missed this? @topic i also recommend va - sundrops for some nice morning goa. other goa essentials for me in the last years: e-mantra - arcana artha - influencing dreams va - temple of chaos filteria - daze of our lives blue planet corporation - blueprint for survival (it's old material) ra - 9th crossing mind - holographic paradigm not goa but also highly recommended: talpa - when the somberness becomes the game (really strange weird psytrance) cosmosis - fumbling for the funkt frequency (imho the best fullon album in many years)
  5. no amount of acid could make me appreciate alien jesus. @ormion why did you have to mention alien jesus? i had to look it up and was not prepared for something that awful btw: i agree with your pov.
  6. couldn't have said it better. bpc just has so many great tracks: overbloody flood, crystal, micromega, xoco, hemo static ii, ... sure, transwave also has some classics and i was quite into their sound some time ago, but somehow i quickly got bored jaia, hm... there mai mai which is at least as good as overbloody flood, but other than that.. good music but nothing outstanding somehow total eclipse isn't my cup of tea at all...
  7. very nice mix. it gets regular playtime here. i'd love to hear that sound at nighttime at parties instead of darkpsy
  8. the ufomatka track is very nice. quite similar to the sound of mfg. the rest sounds a bit too much like it could have been released on uaf and i'm not particularly fond of that style of goa.
  9. i was going to post yahel, but some of those already posted are definitely worse
  10. yep. i really like 'for the people', but anything after that was too cheesy for me.
  11. for dark darkpsy i'd recommend: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnLm2WlOzSA but the darkest psy in general imo comes from one of: The Delta/Spirallianz/Midimiliz. nectarios has already posted a nice example.
  12. well, i knew that the last esp album was a cheesefest and that gms' output has been horrible in the last few years, but tbh i didn't expect this to be nearly as bad as it really is. come on, they can't be serious? and what kind of label accepts such shit music? plus that cheesy name and that cover don't make it any better...

  14. i like the cover, but i'm not yet sure what to think of the music. i think this album needs multiple listens of the full tracks to truly be appreciated. the player works fine in safari too.
  15. great track. i love that outer space vibe.
  16. agreed. 320kbps would be nice audacity also works on the mac.
  17. if this album is going to be anything like the track on opus iridium it's gonna be awesome.
  18. D5 surely is oldschool, but ra released their first album in 2001 when everyone else was making that minimal stuff and their music generally sounds much more like most suntrip releases than like old goa trance. to me that's reason enough to call it newschool
  19. i find the pleiadians remix a bit boring. there are many things going on at once, but none really catch my attention. i find the original is much better, and filteria's remix is imho like the original, but with better production and some added crazyness, so it's my favourite out of the three.
  20. Taiyo - Taiyo Azriel - Akane Still Dreaming (2005 Remix) Ra - Astral Flight/Expand Consciosness/... Hara Gobi - Holi Live MWNN - Lunar Cycle/Sly-Ed/The Breech Der Dritte Raum - Trommelmaschine Transwave - Land of Freedom Andromeda - Sensations/... FREq - Strange Attractor
  21. and i thought the new protoculture album was bad...
