  1. Xerox. why name your project after a company that makes photocopiers?
  2. that explains a lot. i was listening to freetekno (mainly between 180 and 200 bpm here; tekno replaced DnB which in turn replaced heavy metal for me ) before i came to psytrance. i was looking for music that's more sophisticated and less agressive. started with darkpsy and progressively moved on to fullon and nowadays i listen mainly to goa trance and prefer progressive psytrance to darkpsy and fullon.
  3. producing tracks just for fun, partyanimal and excessive homelistener here.
  4. that's exactly the reason why i prefer trippy sound. it gets me high with dancefloor killaaargh sound i would need drugs to truly appreciate it. no need for that with trippy sound. @malevolent Shakta - Lepton Head (Deedrah Remix) is indeed the perfect example. i'd love to hear that song at a party...
  5. Dimension 5 - Transdimensional Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon Tool - Lateralus
  6. although it's not psy 'solar quest - acid air raid' deserves a place in this thread. am i the only one that hates overarching buildups, where you are sure that the kick is coming back, but instead of the song starting again you get another buildup and then another. so f***ing frustrating, that makes me want to throw stuff at the dj...
  7. Electric Universe, Protoculture, Psytrain, Fractal Glider, Psysex Cosmosis, Talamasca, Alien Project and Astrix all have some good tracks. As long as it doesn't get too cheesy i have no problem with fullon. sometimes it's nice to have tracks that all sound alike and are absolutely predictable. I actually find that i prefer fullon to darkpsy nowadays. some of you listed shift and gappeq as fullon. wtf?
  8. the (for me anyway) most prominent melody (soundform at 4:20 and solid electronic 2:50) is exactly the same. the sound is a bit different but the melody is the same.
  9. Astral Projection - Solid Electronics (Astral Projection - Soundform) not only that the tracks sound quite similar, they use one and the same melody and that melody is the most pominent feature of each track.
  10. isn't that Amitabha Buddha instead?
  11. i find that i get tired of GMS/1200Mics tracks very easily. after listening to a track a few times i don't like it anymore. that happens much quicker than with any other artist. i loved juice when i first heard it, but after listening to it about 15 times i could not stand it anymore. their remixes are quite nice and a whole lot better than their own tracks imho.
  12. +1 zenzile is great! and no 'rastaman' vocals either.
  13. for me it's Shakta&Moonweed - Micronesia the track has a sitar, a TB303, beautiful melodies, a nice kickdrum, is multilayered and sounds very oriental. what could you want more?
  14. i listen to oldschool/newschool most of the time. psy too ever now and then, but mainly goa. a lot of people i know like goa trance better than psy, but it seems most of the people that go to parties do not . why does belgium have to be so far away…
  15. i'll get everything from suntrip exept Ka-Sol and Filteria once Opus Iridium comes out. can't wait
  16. i found that i like Phaedra, Alpha Centauri and Rubycon better than the newer stuff, that i find less psychedelic and more commercial. anything after 1975 or from the years 75-80 should be what you're looking for.
