  1. Thanks, these SBK and especially Sound Field tracks are super awesome, spot on!
  2. Drone is really good, basically what I was looking for, thanks! Krama is nice but too clubby/uplifting, now I'm seeking for more "introvert" music
  3. Thanks. I know some tracks by Krama, will check out the album. Right now I'm listening to Stereofeld's 2013 album, pretty good, another reference point of what I'm looking for.
  4. A couple of examples of what I'm looking for or newer stuff Smooth synths, mysterious pads, deep atmosphere, melancholic melodies Pelase recommend me something in that vein.
  5. I often hear that people are doing that but still havent' figured out how does it help. To my ears, retrigger in Sylenth seems to be pretty accurate. On the other hand, keeping bass in midi allows tweaking it as needed, I often need to re-adjust envelopes as I'm adding more stuff to the mix
  6. What it is then? I'm not an expert in goa, but this track sounds pretty goa to me. Rexuss also labels it as goa himself. Glad that you liked the tracks!
  7. I'm in touch with this guy at promodj.com - this is a social network for Russian-speaking music community, but it seems that he is not present online anywhere else. Imo, he makes killer goa and I think he deserves more attention. You may listen to some of his tunes at these links. http://promodj.com/rexuss/tracks/5871553/Rexuss_Tsunami http://promodj.com/rexuss/tracks/5776292/Rexuss_Liquid_Gravity (the red triangle to the left is for playing, the red arrow to the right is for downloading - he sets his music for free d/l) I'm not affiliated with this project - just want to spread good music.
  8. While we are speaking about uplifting trance, I decided to spoil the topic by my own attempts (I'll remove it if you consider it inappropriate) Ofc, I don't consider these tracks to be even remotely close to the "best of uplifting trance" but they fit the genre definition and maybe someone of you will like it. Free download.
  9. Leon Bolier is absolutely the best of commercial trance Other great stuff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HffnoU3eIGk
  10. Inspired by Serbian progressive - Sideform, Relativ and the like Please let me know what you think! Mixing is a bit rough ATM, maybe I'll equalize some parts differently later.
  11. I've read somewhere that Skazi used VB-1 synth and Quadrafuzz plugin built into old Cubase. Here is a video where the guy shows how to make a psy bass with these plugins But I think Sylenth or Zeta with any multiband distortion will do it.
  12. Where did you find all this content? PM me the links, I've just made some hot videos with my little niece (RIP) and try to find a place where I could upload them to get the most likes. Lol, of course I didn't. To my understanding, the deepweb is a segment of the internet which is unaccessible for common search engines, like Google (not because of conspiracy but mostly due to technical reasons). This means that you cannot google deepweb by definition. All you can google is some pics/vids people are claiming to get from some obscure sources but for most obvious reasons 99% of it will be photoshopped/faked
  13. I often feel like I'm the only one around here who doesn't consider full-on and prog to be crap by default Btw, I also prefer good old forum format to Facebook and the like.
  14. Interesting track. I love these arpeggios, they sound very fat and juicy. Maybe the change between the first and the second half is a bit too abrupt. Thanks for sharing this!
  15. HALLO! I'm AZ RECURSION LOOP from Russia, Leningrad, Moscow, Tabmov, Vodka, Balalaika etc. Next time I see Simon Posford, MWNN, IM etc me proudly tell them that they have an opportunity to collaborate with you. Etc!
  16. Is it your own software? I like the synth sounds - clear, hi-fi and very psychedelic. But the mixing needs more work, k/b are almost non-existent and therefore the track lacks groove. As regards the composition, this kind of psy is not my thing so I don't have much to comment. But at least I didn't want to skip any part of the track, it was interesting to listen to. Pretty unpredictabile musical development but still there is some inner logic
  17. This confuses me too - what I originally thought to be darkpsy when I started listening to psytrance (i.e. what sounds the most evil/scary) actually turned out to belong to forest psy.
  18. Re: White tiger. Arcadii is from Ussuriisk, a city in the Russian region which is often referred to as a home of Siberian tigers (they are called "Ussuriisk tigers" in Russian). Maybe the tiger reference comes from here (however White tiger is a breed of Bengalian tiger, not Siberian tiger). Re: the album. Sounds like someone is trying to make "the most goaish goa in the world". Well produced (however to my ears these acid lines are too ear-piercing sometimes) and has all the right elements but for me it seems a bit too predictable and formulaic. On the other hand, I think most "true to fom goa" fans will feel right at home with this album
  19. Don't care about the cover. I've listened to the album once and thought that it is not bad. But for some reason I never wanted to spin it again since then. Nothing tells me "whoa I have this He.art I must listen to it again right now!"
  20. What I've heard from Kindzadza doesn't sound dark or sinister, rather its sounds strange - futuristic, alien maybe(but still captivating). Btw some of his tracks are really melodious but again, some strange kind of melodies. Also there is Kashyyyk which is anything but dark (but it is really hard to find words to describe the mood of Kashyyyk's music). Overall, the genral aethetics of darkpsy is like "music for/by aliens" as if they were trying to figure out what music created by non-human intelligentt creatures may sound like. Hence there is rthytm (but faster than commonly considered danceable), there is some inner logic in the sounds but usually no melodies (at least nothing like "a melody" in the usual sence).
  21. At least it appears in the top 10. Speaking for myself, I remember this album well but don't like it much.
  22. Not much into darkpsy, but what I've heard of it doesn't sound very dark. Rather they try to create "inhuman/alien" atmosphere by combining unnaturally fast bpms with strange atonal noises. If you want something really dark, try forest or twillight psy
  23. Digicult are two guys, not "he". Well, in my book this one is not as good as the Lucid Nation, but still fvcking good. For me, the dissapointments are: - Star Travel (Talamasca Rmx) - Talamasca. Nuff said. - Lost In A Mental Universe - this track has really some amazing moments, but is ruined by two things - the "belching robot" sound in the beginning and near the end (sounds comical and terribly out of place, wtf) and this horrible happy-cheesy melody after 4:55 mark (wft again? especially after the incredible sonic bliss at 4:00 to 4:55 - it feels like after a hot private dance your GF says to you "let's now watch some stand-up show instead") - Into The Heartland (Astral Projection Rmx) - How the fvck could the best goa act in human history turn the best psytrance track in human history into such a forgettable nonsence is beyond me (and the mastering on this one is really poor) Everything else is good a usual. This means very good.
