  1. Very nice indeed. Quite interesting to hear from the samples on youtube that were posted.
  2. Cool Runnings, such a great movie despite the historical inaccuracy.
  3. Good songs you posted. I sort of have mixed feelings about hard trance. I like some but not all. Some of it can be extremely cheesy, too funny, not serious. I'm mean, I'm no serious person and always open to suggestions and stuff but I just can't seem to enjoy some of it.
  4. But folks who are interested are likely to do a search on the site which then this topic will show up. At least I would.
  5. I haven't listened to this yet (because of have yet to get it in the first place) but I do recognize one song and that is Art of Trance Vs. Loud & Domestic - Moroccan Roll (Original Mix). It's gotta be one of the best releases in the past year.
  6. Oh wow, I'm liking that 165 bpm. Can't wait to hear more from that.
  7. Won't do a full review since there are other folks who are much more talented in writing out their thoughts but even though this uses similar formulas from the older albums, I still love that. It's not a bad thing at all. One track I really love is Dolphins of Jupiter. I find it so funny when the part with the dolphin like sounds come up. Definitely a great album.
  8. https://soundcloud.com/psysutra/beenherebefore awesome track from Psysutra
  9. I actually already do have most of Airwave's and Orkidea's stuff. I love them a lot. Airwave is probably in my top 10 favorite artist.
  10. Having just listened to the album, I'll admit it does have the Goasia sound that we are familiar with, but I don't think it's a bad thing at all. I really enjoyed the album. Especially Dolphins at Jupiter, what a funny track.
  11. Nice track you posted. I haven't paid much attention to the progressive scene as much as I would like to (since I was a big fan of it years ago). Looks like I'll have to pay more attention. Hopefully trance in general (both non and psy) gets something to get it in a new direction since the mainstream trance has been flooded and corrupted with farty fat sounds of electro (ahem Armin, A&B, etc).
  12. I love them all, they all have something good/unique about them. But like the others, I also recommend starting with The Prophecy. My second favorite then is The Message. Even though that album is a bit different from their early works, I think it's great.
  13. What are some good movies from this year? Any genre though I dislike horror movies and movies where nothing happens the whole time. Haven't watch many movies from recent years.
  14. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it a lot. Yea, I sort of knew that I would have to get either a tt-303 or a x0xb0x one day because I cannot live with out that acid sound. Though I did have trouble purchasing mine, since my first one got damaged during the mailing process so I had to wait about 2 weeks till the guy sent another one to replace it. I would love to get another one, can't ever have enough though I'm saving up for other stuff besides music.
  15. https://soundcloud.com/deskoch/desysko-what-is-life-where-am-i-going Hey guys, made a new track last night. Let everyone be warned that I did make it with headphones since I can't really use my speakers since I have neighbors that complain. Comments, and feed back would be great!
  16. Thanks! Also, those who like to do things with synthesizers and have other folks see them, we have a subreddit on reddit called /r/synthesizer and on (now) Saturdays, we have a post where we share our stuff, give feedback, whatever. Here's this weeks: http://www.reddit.com/r/synthesizers/comments/2g9zxa/soundcloud_saturday/. Here's what I pretty much had to say about my track: I wanted to make something like the 90s Goa stuff so I tried making an intro with a typical vocal oohs and aahs that the Goa scene had. I guess it was ok. The one thing that bothers me the most about the track is the background synth when the drums start. The reason why is because for me, it just sounds strange, maybe because of the reverb but who knows. But it may have been the timing was bad and I should of added it later but when I was recording I wasn't thinking about the arrangements. The biggest mistake (and why I will have to do the recording again) is around the 3 minute mark. The reason is that I accidentally pressed the wrong synth on the EMX and was checking the volume. Oh ya, another mistake I did (well not completely a mistake but close enough) is the main acid line. If you listen you can tell that when the distortion is applied, it at first sounds quite bloated or muffled, that's because my x0xb0x came with the bass boost mod and when distortions are used with it, it can get muffled because of the bass. But I luckily was able to improvise and make the transition smooth so that it doesn't sound a like a mistake (or so I believe). As usual, the Korg EMX was responsible for the drums, hats, and other percussions along with the choir, synth pad thing, effects, and etc. The x0xb0x was used for the main line. And the Bass Station 2 was used for the background melody (and i used Valhalla reverb for it). The thing that I also need to fixed is the melody for the BSII part since I want to make it sound better with the acid line (or possibly change it completely so that it is the crazy psychedelic sound).
  17. Well, not really a demo but just something I made. https://soundcloud.com/deskoch/desysko-tribe-of-bounce I realize that there are some things that do need work on like more variety and stuff like that (and not accidentally touching the volume knob, haha). But I just want to ask for some feedback. Thanks for any that do.
  18. I just love this so much. I love how calm and chill the stuff is. Argh, I can't get over this series. It's just awesome.
  19. Finally got War and Peace along with Crime and Punishment. Been meaning to get the books from the library for a while now but keep forgetting. I luckily stumbled into a bookstore and remembered about the books and got them both for cheap. Can't wait to read them. But damn is War and Peace really long.
  20. Yea, Japan has good music. (ya don't like the vocals? Come on, cheese is good for you )
  21. I don't know, Stardiver was interesting I guess but I wouldn't call it a favorite of mine. I much prefer One Love or maybe Divine Design.
  22. Haha, ok I'm gonna call bullshit on that. Armin has changed. Saying that he has kept true to his original is a joke. Compare his released from 5 years ago and now, if you say that they are the same then obviously your definition is quite broad. But whatever, I've already dealt with numerous people on this topic of Trance and its direction now days that I'm not gonna bother with it.
  23. Well that's good to hear. Man does war suck, but I feel like I would be preaching to the crowd if I go on that topic. The UX album is also something I can't wait for. A question about it since I can't remember, it's gonna be new tracks right or is stuff that has been made but just never released?
  24. Also by the way Panoptes, I know that you put some demo/samples on Soundcloud but do you have any full tracks anywhere?
