  1. Yea, I've heard that Goa isn't the most pleasant place for electronics. Sounds like ya gotta take care of everything very well so that it doesn't break down or wear apart. But then again, I don't really plan on playing live stuff for some time since I want to focus more on my studio stuff.
  2. I really enjoyed the whole album. The only one track that I thought was okay but not the greatest was Hallucinogen's. I don't know why, it just doesn't groove with me. But otherwise the rest is magic. All of them are my favorites.
  3. Oh I know that they have been minimal since whenever, I was just fooling around. I really liked their Blomma album. Which reminds me I love these videos of them:
  4. Wow what a story. x0b0x luckily are cheap (well relatively compared to other places and etc) where I got it from. The acidlab miami is like 800-900 dollars when I looked it up months ago. That live stuff truly must have been great and unique. But wow is that a crazy end for that gear, for a wife and house. Not saying that I wouldn't do the same, but man it's just that music is part of my soul now. I can't imagine selling it. But still having a family to love and care is definitely great and even better.
  5. Well guys while it isn't hardware, a kind soul on another thread pointed me toward a software version of the original roland module here: http://www.defectiverecords.com/m185/index2.html. I played around with it and I gotta say it is great.
  6. Like Minimal Goa Prog? or Goa Prog? or Prog Prog? Or nothing? haha
  7. Thanks for the reply. Now that you mention it, it does sound a bit out of place. The original track was quite different from what was uploaded which is why that melody doesn't seem that great. That acidline is really nice, the pattern was from when I was messing around with the x0xb0x and pretty much forgot about it till I was switching around looking for something that sounded nice. But regardless, thanks for the feedback. Now I gotta do the rest of the track (like 90% of it, haha). I always find it funny (and frustating at times) how I start with one idea and build an entire track, only to dislike something and changing the whole track into something different.
  8. Hmm how interesting. It sure has been a long time since their last album. I wonder how it will sound like. Something close to Colours, their other alias Minilogue which tends to be a lot more minimal stuff, or something new/mixed. Can't wait to hear it.
  9. Did you say that Acidlab's gear is affordable? hahaha, oh gosh that stuff can be expensive. But I agree it's quality stuff (as Kick.S has shown in his videos many times). I've mainly been doing stuff at home in my "studio". I also like sequenced sounds but boy I do just loving messing around with live improvisation along with some delays and reverbs (and other effects too I guess) on my Bass Station 2. One major problem that I've been having is trying to incorporate all of my synths into some of my tracks. While I know I don't have to, I like to see if there's something that I can do. I would buy that in a instant, as long it isn't too expensive nor so cheap that it falls apart (like some of their products apparently have been suffering). Does anyone here do live gigs (well besides Martian Arts which I believe he does)?
  10. Stuck on a track and would be nice whether someone could give some ideas/feedback since almost anyone else I know dislikes Goa/Psy (haha). https://soundcloud.com/deskoch/get-it-now-short-demo
  11. Argh, you guys make me so jealous. I wish I had the money for modular (well along with patience and etc etc). Lots of cool stuff out there. This sequencer for example is quite awesome, the amount of stuff you can do with it is insane. It would be nice if they released a non-modular version of it. Makes me want to invest in this stuff but I already don't have much room at my place.
  12. What a tough question since I love it all, but stuff like Crossing Mind or stuff that has melody but is still hypnotic/with rhythm is probably what I like a lot. Then again, I just simply love Goa music and don't really have any limits or stuff like that.
  13. Hmm, interesting. I'll check it out when I'm finished with other stuff. Thanks by the way!
  14. Oh wow, 3 weeks? That's so soon, am quite excited.
  15. I feel like Nhjo has some interesting ideas there but needs more on his stuff. If that track wasn't so...so loud? Not sure what the word is for it, but regardless would need more bass to it since all I hear is the higher parts. Maybe lighter sounds and not so energetic sounds would be better, but that's my taste.
  16. haha, the madness in this thread.
  17. Ya Kick.S is an awesome guy. That guy has so much hardware. Been loving his stuff since I found out about him when I was looking up videos on how to use the x0xb0x. The software vs hardware debate is really stupid though. I personally prefer hardware because I like to interact with all the stuff and not just sit on the computer (like many other folks). If it is good music, who cares how it's made. A lot of good songs are made on hardware and software. Plus software ones can sometimes be better than hardware since they can do some sounds that hardwares can't.
  18. Hmm, pretty nice. Thanks for sharing the track. The original mix isn't that bad either.
  19. Definitely true. I believe that this will become a very well known and wanted cd in the future.
  20. I disagree about what you said about the new wave. There are plenty of artist that use hardware for their tracks.
  21. Haha, I remember that thread. There were some good submissions.
