Strange things happen when your idea of playing a set of closing tracks from old goa trance albums mutates into, well, this From light to darkness and back again. And a tracklist that at a quick glance doesn't exactly scream "downtempo". And also, easily the best set I've played so far. Tracklist: Transwave - Phototropic Man With No Name - Azymuth Etnica - Baraka Xenomorph - Cassandra's Nightmare The Delta - Dr. Rayman Sandman - Mushroom Symphony Ozric Tentacles - Pteranodon (Hallucinogen Remix) Slide - Searching Slowly Total Eclipse - Nakano Ghost UX - U.X. Part 2 S.U.N. Project - Energia Magica Banco de Gaia - Eagle Sundog - 7 Minutes To Midnight Tandu - New Aura

A solid compilation for sure, but my only gripe is with the Tandu track, which is their best track by far. Compared to the album version, this is both channel- and polarity-inverted and has almost all the bass sucked out of it so that it basically sounds like shit.

I'm also slightly hopping already, from excitement 4 WEEKS TO GO! Whee!!

Ah, that's what I forgot

Semi-quickly eyeing through my Discogs collection, here's what I came up with (I just know I'm forgetting some album here...) In release-date order: Transwave - Helium Cosmosis - Cosmology Hallucinogen - The Lone Deranger MFG - Project Genesis (or New Kind Of World, I can never seem to decide which one is better The Delta - Scizoeffective Process - Superior Technology Goasia - From Other Spaces PortaMento - The Portal Zirrex - Ritual Dance Algae Bloom - The Blossom Of course, this list is by no means absolute. Still, it covers quite a range of some very good music.

Psytrance tracks with singing that don't suck

The Chromosome remix is good too -
He's (She's?) credited as Hannah Mai Young on the Moon Ritual comp. The credits on Discogs still state the the Chi-A.D. tracks are written & produced by Dave Young, but this should be corrected (thanks for reminding me, I actually asked about this in the release history section but nobody reacted to it).

OK I seriously have no idea if I should be surprised or not and if yes, at what. Oh well, let's see how this unfolds.

Err, the cover atually says "Unusial Cosmic Process"...how did that slip past quality control?

Dropbox gives you 2GB of space for free. Should hold a 4 hour mix if you FLAC encode it (if you want to keep it lossless) Also, if you want to give yourself (and me) 500MB of extra Dropbox space, here's my referral link. That's completely optional of course.

Well, I just finished Postal 2: Paradise Lost, took me about a week. As crude and hilarious as the original Postal 2
