  1. oood is the alter ego of yahel vs infected vs gms vs raja vs hypersonic. ie great stuff fullon blue cheese! will decide about ordering after a listen.. but there is some promessing words from people with good taste!!!
  2. go for the rpdj 1210. they are great. Its worth the extra money to get some decent phones.. The special cord is usefull sometimes.. these have great durability.. even took them travelling trough central and south america for 5 months and don't even have a scratch. no complaints whatsoever. www.musicstore.de for europeans..
  3. kalumet- koyote on va beat ohm beat by mindsound records whooooooooooooo
  4. +1 really nice album. pretty twisted.. but twisted well.. not just random noises on top of a beat thats too fast. Recommended!
  5. the site seems a bit f****d up.. or is it just me? not very easy to read atm..
  6. hehe i just got myself the old 8 bit nintendo as well.. hitech! to stay on topic: for sampling purposes i understand. for nostalgia i understand. But any other reason: fuck it. There is digital effects now to get the same effect as the old audio equipment or you could set your sampler back to 8 bit. using an tapedeck seems like alot of unnecesarry work. Threw away all the old tapes the other day.. only kept one from a befriended artist to show him when he is a famous musician
  7. i think all albums rock. but old rocks more than new.
  8. has anybody ever ordered here? any idea about shipping times in europe?
  9. the poor bugger still lives in groningen.. i think it s a bit too far for his to just come for a few beers.. 2.5 hours in the train...
  10. off course you can .. if you want you could do an audition for the 'kokopelli chill dj list' but yes.. to stay on topic.. lets meet up saturday somewhere.. in a bar, in my house, redlight disstrict, coffeeshop, whatevahhhhhrrrgggg.. shout!
  11. hey why not go have a little meet up with nemo? for good hasj you should go to the 'tweede kamer' close to the spui. But the rokery is also quite good indeed.. although there is 3 rokerij's. global chillage close to leidseplein is also a nice place to go. Havent been there for a while.. but they used to have a really nice wallpainting. if you are still alive on sunday. come for a cup of coffee to the kokopelli smartshop in the warmoestraat.. i am working there from 1700 till 2200. you could even come and play some chill out if you want (if you play at all ).
  12. the hypersonic must win by millllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssss
  13. fullon: talamasca, painkiller, menog etc prog: liquid soul, freq, v-tunes, xibalba, magnetrixx etc idm = intelligent dance music.. yes rather dumb name.. but hey whats in a name.. just browse a bit through this forum and you'll learn more about psytrance than you can ask in this topic..
  14. well the eastern religion thing is actually quite easy to understand.. psytrance (or goa trance) originated in india (goa plays a big part). in the 70's hippies were playing guitar stuff (psyrock etc) to aid their trips and adventures in psychedelics and eastern religion. Than technology went further and produced record players, tape players and dats.. with the evolution of technology the music changed.. first people (the first dj's) played combinations of indian music and early electronic stuff (kraftwerk fe). Than they started to play music that was mainly electronic, still with influences from eastern music. the music was still made for the lsd crazed hippies.. so it had to be spacey and trancy as well --> goa trance. From there people wanted to hear this stuff at home as well not just on the beach in goa. so they started playing it everywhere.. at indoors and in clubs as well.. for which it was necesarry to make the music a bit 'easier listening' hence melodic fullon and progressive. Alot of people nowadays dont share the idea's ideals of the hippies in goa in the 70's 80's and 90's, so the influence of eastern religion has been lost a bit imho. Personally it didnt influence me at all in my taste for psytrance. I even dislike 99 % of the indian chanting in psy/ chill But you can still see the influences in many many things. Names of tracks, artists albums etc. In the artwork of albums. In goa fashion etc. Hope that helped you answering the question.
  15. my tip for 2006: no name- nn (unr) not really a valid answer to the question mr pavel but we ll keep an eye on ace

  17. very nice album.. although i was hoping it would have been a little better like some of his tracks on compilations.. that album is defenitly a good one.. defenitly an above average prog release.
  18. lovely tracks by jey n ex and dualsnog! keep an eye on the guys from jey and ex..
  19. even if it was a first release i would find the album boring.. very average.. hardly a single bit is above imho..
  20. Really? I thought it was one fine example of generic sounding psy-(chill)-dub... superficial and all.. edit: this was snapinho not supergroover!
  21. part 1 was great! some really good tunes on there..
  22. i used to play all kinds of electronic styles.. from electro to psy to breaks. that was actually more interesting to mix than the usual psy party. We (I am) are in need of more good psybreaks imho.
  23. havent heard it yet.. what was so bad about their set?
