why cant you compare it? krelmatrix said very nicely that there is a difference between mixing to create a continuum or to make something new.. Techno dj's do the latter most of the time imho and psytrance dj's do the first. You could say that that would make techno dj's better dj's. Which is most likely the case. But then again there is a difference in style. Psytrance is a finished story already most of the time while techno still has chapters to be filled. This leads to different ways of mixing. So it is not that necesarry for psytrance dj's to be overly skilled. It would surely be nice though not to see raja ram, goa gil etc trainwreck all their tracks..

really nice track man.. lovely vibes, nice and trippy sounds. no comments actually.. which is a good thing because normally i have loads of comments on tracks offered for reviewing very very playable in a chill out. Congrats.. and keep em coming..

did you check all the gms albums? not sure which one it is.. but its surely not called 'killer'...

things in life tend to shift.. whether you like it or not.. the earth is rotating.. time is passing.. the psytrance scene isnt the goatrance scene anymore.. and it will probably not be psytrance anymore soon. if you dont like the shift.. find your way elsewhere or dig deeper. It doesnt make much sense to me to complain about something you want to stay put while its basic characteristic is to move. there is loads of nice things happening in this scene. You just got to find it. It used to be a little easier i admit.. there is a load of crap to search through now.. but the bottom line is the nice things (parties, atmospheres, releases etc) still exist.. Good luck on your quest I am sure btw you'll find some of those nice things here (in between the crap).

reefer decree- time drop didnt exactly make me cry.. since i was crying already (love hurts ). But it defenitly did help me to see some light in the darkness

i havent heard the album yet.. but i can imagine what it sounds like since i recently heard a highko liveset.. that was very psychedelic but indeed way too does he use the same tricks.. and its way too fast to keep dancing. Will check the album out for sure.. But i doubt it will get on my shopping list.

saikopod is a dragonfly release. about the athena i dont know.. they are at my parents home so i would have to check if you are interested.. might take a while. about the prices.. i dont know really. dont want ridiculous amounts.. I posted them here because i know people will enjoy the vinyls alot more than me. i am sure we can work out something reasonable.

highly recommended.. ordered at least 30 times and it never took longer than 4 days to arrive (holland). emails are replied rapidly ime and badly manufactured cd's are replaced without any questions (i emailed them some photo's of the mistake). lovely jubly

hehe excellent view on the groovefloor! i agree with snapinho. Some horrible acts, some nice ones.. some brilliant ones even! The location was alot better than before.. but i think they could have used it better.. dj in the bunker on groovefloor instead of on top of it or more to the side of the top Really weird place for it. Some more moving light etc.. The chill out was nice although the sound could defenitly have been better.. but overall it was good enough to enjoy the chillout. The fountain was a nice detail! Mainfloor was killahhh. Nice sound (better than circle imho) and very nice deco. A little too big maybe.. but hey thats just a small point of critisism. Overall vibe: the weekend was a little too mainstream for me, but on monday and tuesday it sure was alot better.. more happy vibes and friendly smiles than before. As snapinho said: wouldnt go next year unless we get a chance to play again.

best sample ever is by space buddha: '100 kilos of pure uncut bolivian cocaine" .... uh.. i mean.. wtf... are we in the club scene here or what? is this gangsta goa? sample could be slightly different but the message is the same.. dont have the album here right now..

i agree with el snapinho... samples can ruin a track for me.. especially bad vocals.. but if there is another matrix sample.. i ll kill the first one i see there is so many movies out there and so many tv channels.. it doesnt even take long to sample anything.. its easy as hell. you could even ask your brothers girlfriend to say something stupid.. anything..

hmm not a highly recommended va here.. the quality of the tracks vary quite alot imo. some are well produced others not (happens often on the first release of a label). some tracks are decent (1 to 5) though (but not good). Maybe a nice compi if you are into dark.. otherwise dont bother.

there is alot of israelis everywhere.. so i dont think that the fact that they have been to goa is the reason for listening to psytrance that much.. I guess every country has its own style of music and psytrance happens to be listened to in israel.. why a certain country listens to a certain style.. beats me.. i have some theories though The intensity of things happening in a certain country could have to do with it.. israel is on the news every day for know reasons.. people can lose some of that bad energy through listening (and dancing) to intense music.. why psytrance? dunno.. could have been death metal.. could have been intense ballads other countries have little news in a day.. sweden for example.. this boredom could lead to wanting to spice up life.. --> weird stuff like texas faggott or the music could be like the daily relaxt state.. --> easier prog.. so some of the characteristics of a country could be related to the music made in that country... but there will always be an unexplainable thing called 'taste'. well anyway its late and i should be off to bed.. some day i ll publish a worldfamous article about my findings till then.. this badly written explanation will have to do hehe off topic: i dont think belgium has the best scene at the moment.. there are alot of parties that are very badly organised... the vibe might be good.. but a good scene has good parties..
