  1. Dude, Steve Everett used to be in Ozric Tentacles for a few years I think, and that was it. Afaik he was never a part of Eat Static.
  2. Well, the positive side is that Merv will have much more time for other projects. I have yet to be disappointed... I loved Hi Fi Companions, Flexitones, Nodens Ictus, Dendron (not really a collaboration) and I'm really curious how Metal Sharon will be. But still, Eat Static were probably my favorite psychedelic liveact. Too bad, too bad.
  3. Monolake - Cinemascope Good shit.

    Amsterdam

Cool beans. Some stuff there I hadn't heard of. Cheers!
  5. WHUT?! NO!! Fuck, that is sad news. I'm glad I got to see them perform live a few times, but I was hoping to see them a few more times. Damn... even though I can really dig his reasons. Bad news indeed.
  6. David Bowie - Space Oddity probably one of my alltime favorite tracks. At least now it is. Such a great great great track!
  7. Hard one... I'll have to think about it, nothing that comes to mind immediately. If it's of any help, first time I heard of Jega - Geometry (the track - brilliant btw) was on VA - The Cosmic Forces of Mu (planet mu)... a lot of tracks are pretty different, but there's some really good music to be found. Like Bit_Meddler - Shitmix2000 or Rude Ass Tinker - U Can't Touch This Most fucked up remixes you'll hear in a while. Recommended! As are the other two Mu compilations... Children of Mu and probably also Sacred Symbols of Mu (although I haven't heard it)
  8. Maps + Diagrams - Polytuft-Tech Brian Eno - Ambient 1: Music for Airports Jega - Geometry Monolake - Cinemascope Autechre - Chiastic Slide VA - Devil in the Detail
  9. VA - Bioluminescence Arovane - Atol Scrap Telefon tel Aviv - Fahrenheit Fair Enough Arovane - Lilies VA - Interior Horizons Mr. Rogers - Ooze System (not on discogs yet?) Liquid Stranger - the Invisible Conquest Aphex Twin - 26 Mixes for Cash Biosphere - Substrata2
  10. Sounds fair enough! Anything in particular I can get you?
  11. Of course, I should've elaborated ... press printscreen, paste image, press printscreen, paste image, etc., repeat. Repeat. But well, I'm betting my little subliminal message told you nothing you didn't already know.
  12. Just press PrintScrn enough times in a row so you can finally uncover the scary truth.
  13. Yeah, 'cept that in Amsterdam you probably won't end up in jail for doing mdma in the bathroom. Oh wait, that wasn't you. You'd never do such a thing! If I had my own place in Amsterdam, you'd all be invited, but I'm afraid the best I can do is invite you to trash supergroover's place...
  14. goddamn give the man a rest.. he just did!
  15. I'm kinda interested in..... Andromeda - Temptations Akufen - My Way Nathan Fake - Drowning In The Sea Of Love Mouse On Mars - Vulvaland I doubt I have something you'd like in my trade-list, but here goes nothing.... looky looky
  16. If they're giving you albums you have to pay for, you're gonna feel even worse. Be glad...
  17. Let's get you psynewsers warmed up a little bit... 29th - 30th April 2008 - Twisted in Amsterdam (Dates to be confirmed soon!) Namaste, in association with Twisted, are creating an event for your enjoyment on Queensday in Amsterdam. Its a huge street festival in the city center of Amsterdam and we will be doing two nights of music on the Tuesday and the Wednesday. The tuesday night will be an all out rave up trance party with all the usual trimmings. Featuring Hallucinogen, Prometheus, Tristan, Koxbox, Ott and many more. The Wednesday night will be a true concert type event. Featuring The Orb LIVE, Younger Brother LIVE and Shpongle DJ, it looks like its going to be a serious mid week weekend! We all love amsterdam. The free thinking, the coffee shops and of course, the lack of a smoking ban! For many of us now, the idea of a dancefloor smoke is but a distant memory. So, we will have this date confirmed for you very shortly and then you can start buying your flights.
  18. Hah! I was there too, so all the more reason to get it, I s'pose. Man, that was a brilliant concert. Woohoo! Btw, have y'all read about the Twisted party in Amsterdam around Queen's Day? It was in the same newsletter Twisted sent out...

    Ott - Skylon

Unfortunately this is exactly how I feel about this release. 5 years after his debut.. I would've thought he'd have come up with new ideas, but there's even a few examples I think I recognize from his own previous album. Isn't that just sad? Frankly though, I have grown tired of psychill, because of these overused samples, ethnic singing and instruments and whatnot, so it could be my taste is clouded by that. But still, I would have loved to seen some progress, some evolution, some new ideas, but instead we get the same ideas in a slightly worn, but roughly the same, coat that might have been fashionable in 2003 but after having seen everyone wearing the same jacket for years, I can't stand them anymore. Sorry Ott, you're brilliant, but this just isn't original enough for me.
  20. Hey! That was my idea!
  21. I really find that hard to believe too... saw him play a few months ago, and it for sure wasn't nineties electro-pop. [e]sorry N3M0, replied too fast
  22. Yeah, boo! I ordered it a few weeks ago, but it isn't released here yet. Doesn't that just suck?
  23. There are a few Super Mario Brothers remixes. But that's about it I think.
