  1. Wow, a really great track we have here! Atmospheric, a little hypnotizing, but not at all boring. Great laidback beats, floating sounds underneath, overall very blissed out. Even reminds me of Ooze a bit, but in a little bit more ambient way... serious stuff here, man. Good job!
  2. Yippeeeeee! But I waiting even more anxiously for the new ES downbeat album...
  3. Agreed on those last words, but I disagreed on your first statement. Entheogenic is just another term coined for the same kind of thing. People that were dissatisfied with the negative (and hippy) connotations of the word psychedelic, started using this term instead. Creating the God within, now that's an ambiguous term, if you ask me. I never understood how people can make separations between certain kinds of substance, when it all depends so much on a lot of other things, set and setting being the most prominent among them.
  4. Imo both make sense. And I think mind is more predominant than soul, because the use of the English word psyche (obviously derived from greek) seems closer to 'mind' than to 'soul'. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
  5. Yeah, that's REALLY terrible. What the hell is the David Star doing there?
  6. great track!
  7. These for sure: Trancey Eat Static - De-Classified Solar Fields - Earthshine Scorb - Ipso Fvcto Chilled Younger Brother - Last Days of Gravity Asura - Life2 Mr Rogers - Ooze System Krusseldorf - Smokers Lounge Liquid Stranger - the Invisible Conquest And some more, my mind doesn't work right now.
  8. I think this is more a list of who is the best spammer / who has the most active fanbase online or something...
  9. Cool, it's on my to-listen list. Just listened twice to Interior Horizons and it's going straight to my to-buy list. I'm getting my first salary only at the end of january, but I'm already making a nice list to make up for a few months of only buying second-hand discs.
  10. Ah yes, 13th Moon is really nice too. And Butterfly Dawn for me is not that worth chasing, I think I have most tracks at that VA on other albums already, so I wouldn't miss it that much. Dr. Alex's Voyage however... I really want that! And straying somewhat further offtopic... what about the latest Native State releases? I know Abasio dug Rena Jones, but that's not for me... what about krill.minima and kilowatts' releases?
  11. SeƱor Coconut - Beat it (from: Fiesta Songs) Moohahaha, hilarious.
  12. Yeah, Amber and Incunabula are less abstract and more structured, less cut 'n paste and more melodic, and generally very moving and atmospheric, I feel. I think they would be right up your alley.
  13. Agreed and not... thing is there are just a few labels available... LSD and Interchill being two of the major chillout ones. I liked Downbeat Liquid 1 a lot, but Light Aromas was not nearly as good. I already have that one, and indeed think it's good. See, Kaya Project is what I didn't like... too ethnic 'psychill' for my taste... Ok, Butterfly is also worth it? LX P.'s album is on my wantlist as well, but like Butterfly Dawn not available afaik. Others on my to buy list are: The Orb - The Dream - LSD Liquid Stranger - The Invisible Conquest - Interchill VA - Devil in the Detail - Interchill VA - Bioluminescence - Native State Mr. Rogers - Ooze System - Geomagnetic.tv Maybe's are... Krill.minima - Nautica - Native State Kilowatts - Ground State - Native State Scorb - Ipso Fvcto
  14. I can hardly imagine you not liking Amber and Incunabula.
  15. Probably my favorite t-shirt company. It's such a shame that it costs $25 to send one t-shirt to Europe (and that's excl. the price of the shirt itself)
  16. Ok, here's the deal... I'm gonna pick up a few albums that I don't have yet, but I really don't wanna get the more ethnic ones. There's a border of cheesiness / ethnicity that I don't like, but there's some albums and compilations that tip to the right side. Dissolving Clouds was a good example of this. Good, deep, dubby chill that doesn't really go wrong (with me, at least). Kumba Mela was an example of the other side, I really didn't like that one. Elucidations, Wider Horizons, Abakus, Tripswitch (all on LSD) = GOOD! Sub Signals, Dissolving Clouds, good! So... what about it? Unity Dub's are not that good, are they? Or am I wrong? Kaya Project and Sons of Arqa, that's exactly the kind of ethnic stuff I'm not looking for. Did this make any sense? Of course, I realize it's all subjective and relative to taste and blabla, but still... any help would be appreciated!
  17. I bet Otto would get really mad. But I think it's hilarious. It's almost the same reason I'm not a vegetarian... it's not that I like meat so much, but I just really really hate animals.
  18. Please don't refrain. I like bashings. You can say something really awful about Space Cat without insulting anyone else, can't you? Do it!
  19. If only they hadn't stopped paying the goddamn bills. Finding your way to the end is quite the struggle nowadays, or so I've heard.
  20. New cd's I'm considering buying... The Orb - The Dream (just because it's the Orb) VA - Bioluminescence (still can't decide if it's interesting enough for me to buy) Liquid Stranger - the Invisible Conquest (samples sounded great!) Perhaps these... anyone has any thoughts on these? krill.Minima - Nautica VA - Bliminal (however I think it's not that interesting... unfortunately) Your thoughts please!!
  21. That is godawfully ugly man... your avatar on the other hand: nice!
  22. Well described somehow.
  23. Yeah, I get the Bluetech-feel as well. Not only the melodies, but also the use of idm-ish rhythms and sounds remind me of Bluetech, in a good way.
  24. inspired by .... the Quacken?
