Real traditional austrian music is something I quite dislike. But there's a cool and innovative duo who mix traditional austrian music elements with modern sounds: ATTWENGER. I'm a really big fan of them because they like to play around with sounds and language in a good way. Add an edge of left wing political vibe and weed smoke and you have a full concert hall with everything from punks to hippies in the audience who all dance to the same humppa beat ATTWENGER! listen to that stuff, these boys can make really cool music http://www.myspace.com/attwenger

yeah, just what I always say: bring that psy shop list back on, mars, please, will ya? A few updates from some of the users here about local shops they know and it could be a really good resource without much work...

That's annoying indeed It's always the same, the albums I await most eagerly I mostly await for a long time because just these are delayed - the more I want a piece the more I gotta wait. It's like they are plotting against me Hope it's out till the end of the month though. I want to include it in a bigger order and my fingernails itch already... ->
-
bummer indeed Why is it actually the case that I have to wait insanely long for EVERY album that I eagerly await? I mean ok, just some days isn't "insanely" long, but I hate to wait...
-
ah, I see, so I'll wait with my order...

I'm not that proud, but I find it really cool that I got a Hallucinogen - The Lone Deranger Promo CD But I am proud when it comes to where I found this one: at the stand of a metal store on a CD market! It's always at the last place where you'd look for it

Psy music did not make me change my life. And that's actually the good thing: it did make me not change my life Meaning that I did not change my life into the life of one of those generic "others" out there - I don't want to bitch about society again, but you get the concept. It's through the psychedelic music that I have kept my free, freaky, different state of mind, you know. I mean, sure I developed, education, studies and such ... but there is now a general undertone to this all, one that makes me see things different than the rest of the world and that would not be there without psy so to say. And always when I hear the sarcastic and (in a way) hopeless statements of some other people I am fucking glad that I am not like them. Just recently I have thought about what would be if we were still in the middle ages ... and well, I tell you, if we were there I'd already have gotten crazy and would already be dead because they burned me on a pile of wood... So ... psy music changed my life by not changing it. And so it influenced it a pretty damn big time!

haha, now I got it Yes, Elysium did make quite good music. I never got into his stuff though because I saw him here being such a drama queen, but some time after he was gone I discovered it and it was ok. Would not buy an album though unless it was really cheap.

good, original music? MATENDA! get his new album ... I'm sure you won't regret it

Yes, yes, yes! I CAN NOT stay still to this kind of music ... I always have to move. Although the times where I almost kicked the blunts out of peoples hands (and sometimes even did it, ouch!) because I was swinging my arms and actually every part of my body so wildly are long gone ... I can now move moderately and still feel great energy ... but standing still when the music is good is impossible, I have to move! I don't understand how one can not move to this music, it's impossible in my eyes...

Best visual installation at a psy trance party
RTP replied to yohankiwi's topic in General Psytrance
cool pics the best installation I have seen were the decorations by Gansedoline: that photo from his website actually shows exactly the location where I have been to and one particular other little thing that I found really, really cool was a video wall shaped like a pyramid (with the top towards the watcher) and a special visual program that enabled to show a different image on every side of the pyramid with only one beamer ... that was really trippy stuff and I loved the idea -
For the first time I don't need to declare myself bankrupt, so I'll get that one...

oopsie ... I should look more into that section, huh?

Yaaay, good and highly interesting news! I recently came across it while browsing the coming soon releases on Wirikuta... A NEW SOLAR FIELDS ALBUM will be released on Ultimae rec on Nov 8th! Its title is Earth Shine ... and it's UPBEAT music! That's right, no ambient from Magnus this time! It's pure progressive trance - yet still out on Ultimae Records! That's what I call a freakin' debut in both ways! YAY! And the sound is quite awesome - at least what I can make out of the samples. Not bad stuff ... although I think I still prefer the ambient works... samples: http://www.ultimae.com/en/releases/264/tracks.html

Deeply Melancholic psytrance/ambient/chillout
RTP replied to Melancholyman's topic in General Psytrance
Man... The song Desiderii Marginis - It's a Cold Trail is what you seek. Trust me. Cold, sad ... so sweet ... You'd be quite well off if you got yourself the whole That Which Is Tragic And Timeless album of him ... a very unique atmosphere and a bit of a new and original approach to this music... -
welcome back, radi don't learn too much english... Shiva Chandra - Milk Bar is a very nice track ... the whole Spicy Moments is a gem ... don't know of anything similar to that song though. Try his other downbeat stuff ... on every album except the last one (Change Of Air) you'll find a downbeat track at the end...

Ah, I see ... Alex Joon = Alex Jave, huh? Because on Energy loader it says for some tracks "produced by Matenda and Alex Jave"... And you, global phonehead ... aren't you Matenda himself? It's his own label as far as I know or isn't it? Gosh, this Natural Development is a totally beautiful album! I've listened to it maybe four times now ... it's for the first time ever that I listen to an album more than four times in one month. I really, really like it! Many beautiful sounds on it, hardly any moments that I don't like - except track 7, that one doesn't really belong on the album somehow I think. Still, my favourite album of 2007 so far, I doubt that I'll come across anything better this year

too bad... is there a sellout? like, every CD for a bread and butter? hmmm? (ah, damn, that store is for media and not CDs ... forget it then)
