Celaripo, if you only knew how many top producers never released anything or very little, you'd be surprised. It's bizarre. I will do my best to release more top notch goa trance, I have a very long list of tracks i want to release that were never heard before, and thanks to the support of all the goa trancers out there, it might be possible. Vedama is a secret project that was developed in France in the late 90s, born as an innuendo to outer space creatures. The music was kept religiously on DAT tapes for almost twenty years and was traded by avid collectors and DJs in the known who wanted to have some special treats for their listeners. The project was born by the sapient minds of Holeg Spies together with Alexandra Mercier and DJ Havok, all pioneers of the French psychedelic trance scene and very talented producers. This edition also contains the original Ceremoniak bw Backwash EP originally released on Transient in 1998 and two other unreleased tracks of the time, all curtesy of Holeg Spies for this tribute project EP. The music has been gently mastered, taking extra care in preserving the dynamics of the original recordings, and will be a perfect addition to your collection of rare tracks for your next set! Ladies and Gentlemen, directly from France and from the forests of Goa, the most aggressive psychedelic madness release ever to come out on DAT Records: Opale - Anaconda's Dance EP The title track was forever sought after by me, since I've heard it in a Goa Gil set in year 2k for the very first tiime. I always thought that it had to be a track by Toi Doi but when I asked him in 2002/3, he said it wasn't his. Since then I asked to many, but nobody seemed to know this monster tune. It remained a mystery until a DJ from Amsterdam, in 2014 recognized it and told me he had the track on his dat tapes as Opale - Anaconda. I was thrilled and the search re-started as I had a lead and a possible, yet unconfirmed, track name. After a while, and with the help of many, I could finally track the Artist down and much to my surprise he was thrilled that someone wanted to release his music, almost 20 years later! The tracks in this EP were done between 1995 and 1998 and are incredible gems of madness and acid swirls. They were tested on the dance floor in 2014-2015 by me, and even at ZNA Gathering by DJ Solitare who reported the response was brilliant. well I too feel like the used market has very high out of the ordinary prices and the collectionism drive is what decided these. Not that is right of course but it is what it is. I bought the kuro single brand new and sealed yes and with obi that is why it was so expensive but hey, i only have a few items that i paid so much and all of them top rarity items, i guess i liked them just enough to justify the sacrifice. But i hear you and supporting current releases and the music of now, is so important. Anyway the best things, will eventually all get reissued, have faith in all the labels out there!

Beatport is simply the worst site to buy music in wav quality, and that's really absurd. I could cope with 7 eur mp3 and 10 eur wav, for a full album and that is what it should cost and up to 10 mp3 and 13 wav, max. That is how i see it, and they should change their policy. I guess they justify it by the extra bandwidth for the size.. but still! Anyway great news about Zion604 projects!

I don't hear any difference in volume between the tracks as they all share the same average levels, but you might feel it this way as there is a level change in sounds during the track (which is the way the track was recorded) and therefore you may perceive a little variation in volume, but very small and anyway intended by the artist when they recorded it.

Bump, after one year and from 2008 What we know is : 1 it is 99.9% unreleased and most likely from Mandalavandalz or Flying Scorpions 2 it has chants, flutes and voices (which should make it recognizable) in the intro 3 it has similarities to orion - the source 4 it is very goanish and greatly produced, psychedelic melodic madness 5 it is around 7 minutes long, more or less If there is anybody out there with contacts with them artists above, maybe we should ask and close this case

Some of the things you request/want are in the work. It's interesting to see the requests and I have to say that mantra604 is very attempt to the true goa sound, a lot of what you want will be released / has already been planned. It takes a long time to do it all though and one thing at a time as there are priority releases

At Penzoline: reason to pre-order? The fact that you would enormously help DAT and its continuation. As expressed by many label owners, direct orders DO make a difference. I know that some of you would rather save a few eur and wait until the release is on some other store that might have cheaper shipping but at the same time I tried to maintain the cheapest options active for shipping's even allowing to use the new "mail" system which is cheaper than priority as the Italian postal rates raised once again on 1st October 2015 making delivery to some country very expensive (Asia, Australia, USA and generally far away places). Furthermore it has to be clear I make zero revenue on shippings, if it wasn't clear enough and that you pay what it costs. This release was the most expensive thing I've done so far (quality comes with a price-tag) and the fact that I used Digipak should hopefully be appreciated and show the dedication. CD will also be coloured again and generally all the options I chose for pressing were for the best result. Think it like this: shall I buy it from the source and maybe get one beer less (or whatever you drink at bars) and support the venture or should I just wait for the cheapest possible option? Up to you man In any case I hope you will enjoy it as much as we all did creating it. Oh and another reason is that I will ship it sooner than other shops + deliver to all of you a digital download option (FLAC & MP3) the day of its release , that won't happen with any other store purchase...

It is very important what Zion604 is doing and I can tell you that I find their releases top notch quality. All the music that they managed to save from oblivion was a great gift. A true parallel label to DAT Rec vision and the efforts of a man to whom I give full support and appreciate the hard work behind the scenes. I am thrilled to hear what will be released on this 2CD of old tracks, and I really liked the Dragon project, good luck with everything and full support !

Etnica will be done next year and shhh but I am working also with a French producer (not Toi Doi, but that will also be real) and I have plans with some of the mentioned artists above. As for vinyl, I'd love to but is so hard and complex, the Etnica one was a miracle to happen and I still need to understand why the plant is so difficult to work with... but we will see. Other than that, I am so curious to know who will re-release what

Interesting to read very old reviews, especially from Children. I have never been a big fan of suomi-forest but this album sounds quite interesting and note that have heard it for the first time now in 2015. Production is still good and has some funky experiments here and there.

In other news, the preparation of Pleidians IFO 3CD was finished last week, project closed the 21st of October 2015. In parallel I have also been working on the realization of two other EPs, of French producers, Vedama & Spies and Opale. Some of you may remember a few videos from Belgian parties featuring extremely acid driven psychedelic tracks, and many asked what these were. Well it was tracks from these upcoming eps, which will soon be released. I hope this will bring smiles around to all the people who were waiting for this music. Other news include the continuation of the Mind Rewind series, which is now at chapter 3 and for which authorizations are already being asked and artwork is in the make, so it's getting close, hopefully sooner than later. All in all it looks like a wonderful winter for DAT and thanks to your support we continue strongly with the mission of releasing (some) lost forgotten tracks and more known bombs not easily available I haven't forgotten the Doof t-shirts but I foresee a spring release for those, it would make more sense and I would have the budget to make some state of the art productions!

The Adrenalin Run remix is really very good, it should indeed get released, I noticed it also around one year ago
