  1. Hello Everyone! I used to have a thread here with DAT Records update but well, I have no idea where it has gone, so I thought I could start a new one anyway. I have been extremely busy in the last months because I was working on a lot of things, some of which were properly announced and on some others that are still secret and waiting to be told . Let me start with announcing that finally I have updated the website of DAT: http://www.datrecords.it/ I have added the News where I will always have the 3 latest pages and then there are proper sections for all that I do with the label: Releases, the Mind Rewind saga, the T-shirts (yay!), and the Vinyl crowdfunding, which really needs your help in this final stage. Every other page has been updated as well so to make it look better and v2.0 so please, have a look. Then speaking of releases I am happy to announce this week, on the 4th of April 2014 the 2 newest singles will come out, and how good they are, really! You'd hear soon enough... Virtuart & Symbiote. Then I can tell you that the first VA on DAT will come out in the near future and will be called Analog Dreams, it's part of a trilogy that hopefully will have a release every year. As soon as I receive the last contract signed I will announce the tracklist on another thread and boy you don't wanna miss this one. Then after that there will be a 2CD Album, something really unexpected (not yet IFO guys) but that will be a blasting surprise, I can promise you that... So anyway, be prepared for a lot of old music remastered and never heard before on DAT! Draeke

  3. Hi Folks, I would like to make 100 limited edition copies of all new Nervasystem tracks on vinyl. The record will be a deluxe and high quality product featuring original full colour psychedelic sleeve art and pressed on heavy 180gm vinyl. The package will be mailed to you in a stiff cardboard record mailer. The Voltage Voodoo E.P. will feature 2 all new extended tracks. The tracks are 'Diagonal Voltage' & 'Beyond The Brain' and were written between Dec 2013 and Feb 2014. For a £16 pledge you will receive the record with postage included. The funding goal pays for the manufacturing of the record, the postage fees and packaging and to cover the 4% fee taken by Indiegogo. I have tried to keep costs down, and no profit will be made from this release, but at the same time i've gone for the best production i can on the product, it will be truly de-luxe, it is a labour of love for collectors, fans, lovers of quality psychedelic dance music, and those who've supported my work over the years........Thank you! . If this campaign is successful, i may make more. 6. Hi there, Time for something new! I dug deep into my record collection and tried to cover most Psychedelic Trance genres in one mix :-) As the title indicates we start with some chilled out progressive trance (136 BPM) and slowly build up to some Morning Full On Psytrance around the 1 hour mark (141 BPM). From there we keep on increasing the pace and we reach 2 hours (145 BPM)and things are getting more and more powerful and hectic. The last half hour is reserved for some Night Trance which I normally don't play very much (148 BPM). https://soundcloud.com/sibren/sibren-its-progressive-to Tracklist: 1. Vice - Within 2. Jackie's early influences included artists such as Alien Project, Infected Mushroom, Absolum and Cosma. Jackie's main inspiration is E.V.P and the stable from Wildthings Records combined with Dirty Saffi from Bom Shanka Records. Jackie has 11 years of experience at selecting some of the best kick arse, bassline crunching tunes the psychedelic trance scene has to offer. Other influences include Chris Liberator, Dave the Drummer, Guy McAffer and DJ Staw, which over the course of time has shaped his playing style to become technically proficient. Over the last decade, Chronical Mass has played in parties all over London and is loved by many who have watched him grow from a young boy, into a humble and recognized face of the psy scene. It is to this psy family that he is forever grateful, his friends and family, who have supported and believed in him since the very first day that psytrance became a part of his life.

  10. Epicuros - Metropolis 2.1 (The Thrive) (Ambient, Psychill, Synthesizer, Psychedelic Trance) Going up? The inspiration to do this mix was pretty much iniated when I was thinking about the progress after the technological revolution that humanity has witnessed over the last few millenia. The outstanding effort to evolve as species through knowledge is what gives a promising framework of potential for mankinds future. But not without setbacks and heavy burdens when it comes to these dramatic changes in the climate change that we've set in motion and already becoming the biggest challenge we must overcome. It's a long bumpy road we must take to succeed. This mix was also very much build and motivated with the visionary images of the futuristic skyscraper city landscapes and then continued even further to the space exploration and thus the overall idea of humanity's hope to thrive trough science and technology. Starting from a bit melancholic atmosphere in a rainy midnight neon city lights and building it to a new dawn filled with uplifting excitement and emerging new hope with awareness that not even the sky's the limit for human race. :] Mixcloud SoundCloud Mixcrate 01. 18. Savage Circuit is genetically engineered by Vincent Garcia. A musician since his early teens, and hailing from Miami, Florida , USA , Vince majored in Audio Engineering at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale where he studied Recording and Mixing. Having moved to the UK in the late nineties in order to immerse himself in the underground psychedelic scene/culture, he then released Outsider / Induction Ritual on Psylevation Records under the Pagan Technologies moniker. This release featured two of his compositions and included additional engineering and production by Dick Trevor. Critically lauded, and played by DJs such as Shane Gobi . Tristan , Antaro and Captain Kairos, among others, he then went on to release Shock Hazard. This was a collaboration with Paul Wright of Deviant Species / RAM , which was released on the seminal Alchemy compilation Electrum. He then continued his mutation into Savage Circuit. Combining a hybrid approach using analogue and digital synthesizer technology with computer generated 21st century tribal rhythms, his sound is both acidic and bouncy. Soaring melodies reminiscent of Goa combine with brutal machine rhythms, which further collide with punchy bass lines, crunchy percussion and hypnotic atmospheres. His music encompasses a vibe that is equally night-time psychedelic, and morning full on. The twilight zone. Current release: The Crosstalk EP (Alchemy Records), Digital Domain EP (Free-Spirit Records) Forthcoming releases on: Alchemy Records, Free Spirit Records, and Aphid Records Savage Circuit Page: http://www.psylicious.com/acts/savagecircuit Digital Domain: http://www.beatport.com/release/digital-domain/1128462 Cross Talk: http://www.beatport.com/release/cross-talk/922347 Initiating a ‘Digital Domain’ with Savage Circuit With his latest EP release ‘Digital Domain’ well underway, launched on Free-Spirit Records and reaching fans, enthusiasts and DJs from all corners of the World, I caught up with musician and producer Vince Garcia to find out more about his foundations and of cause his psychedelic trance act better known as Savage Circuit! A well known face within the London psychedelic party scene originally from Miami, Vince made his intrepid relocation to the UK to immerse himself further into the culture, music and essence the psychedelic scene has to offer. During his formative years in the UK he released under the moniker ‘Pagan Technologies’, before his evolved emulation transpired into Savage Circuit. A journey in the right direction, along its way his music has been critically lauded and played by names such as Shane Gobi, Tristan, Dick Trevor, Antaro and Captain Kairos. For those of you who have not had the pleasure to witness the energy Savage Circuit omits during one of his sets please do! Read the full interview.. 20. King Goa Constrictor - A Psynny Afternoon Mix [::::download::::] (3hr04min/VariableMP3/391MB/©2013) Genre: Psynny Afternoon Psychedelic Trance I love seasons. Seasons are great. From the cold and rainy fall -> spring to the warm and sunny spring -> fall; seasons just kick ass. It's been a long spring of health issues, moving and car issues, and then stresses of broken bones and the beginning of summer festival season. Throughout it all, there have been stresses as well as joys. It's been overwhelmingly positive and I feel like life has grown much around me. Sometimes, on any particular day, I just need some good bouncy progressive and acidic psychedelic trance to feel the energies of the cosmos around me. Featuring tracks from: Zen Lemonade, Satori, Green Oms, Texas Faggott, eXuUs, Man With No Name, Koxbox, Sensient, Beat Bizarre, Jurek Przezdziecki, Ticon, Hallucinogen, Eraser vs Yojalka, Mantrix, Astroschautzer, Mista Spalding, Cycle Sphere vs Eskimo, The Zap, The Chemical Brothers, AudioGramme Metahuman, Ten-G, New Order, The Beatles, Beastie Boys, Kiwa, Pavel Svimba, Biz Markie, DJ 0.000001, Bruno Mars, Electric Universe, Transwave, and more! 22. Information : Artist : Phobia Title : Adaptation Label : Tactic Records Date : 24 June 2008 Genre : Psy-trance Tracklist : 1. Misconduct 2. Third Stream 3. Mix Shake 4. Grind (Phobia Remix) 5. Plant Yourself 6. Adaptation 7. Night Parade 8. Culture Hall 9. The Rite of Spring 10. Counter Point Review : Phobia, the psychedelic trance project (Don't confuse it with the drum n bass artist), made one, and only one Album, called Adaptation. It has not reach a high succes, however it does not remove anything to the great quality and to the amazing tracks of this album. The most known track made by Phobia is surely Turbulence, which one isn't include in this album. Let's have a further look in this album ! Miscondust : The first track of this album is just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G ! It start with some Piano notes and finish in a whole symphony ! On 1:08, Phobia give the song it's kick and bassline. Fast come background sounds and melodies. The song grow up, than come a break, and so on. All that is greatly done, but the best is coming later. At 3:08, you can clearly hear the main melodies coming up, and on 3:25 the whole stuff is just released. Waouv ! Amazing melodies, never heard such thing in any other Psychedelic trance song. It seriously sound like a Mozart melody, in a modern way, under a psychedelic form. At 4:24 come a break, but fast the main melody come back, this time it sound differently than before, and I've to say this second part of the song is a little bit disappointing. I mean, it's still good, going with build up and break, it kept the great melody, but it isn't as good as the first part of the song. Well anyway, how could Phobia throw it better than he did in the first part ? Anyway, a great song, for sure the best of the album, and one of the best Psychedelic Trance song I ever heard ! Third Stream : The song start with some strange sound, but then come the great bassline with nice kick. Everything is building up and on 1:27, Phobia just release all that to give the song a nice dynamic. Later you can hear a sample and some background sounds. I personnaly like it, it give this song a nice atmosphere, not as deep as an Atma song, but still phobia is doing it well. However, the melodies are less present than it was in the previous song. You have to wait until 5:27 to be able to hear the main melody. But then, it come, and ooh boy, it come very nicely, growning up slowly but surely ! And on 6:00 the whole stuff is just droped. Pretty good song, however the main melody could have been more worked. Mix shake : This time Phobia starts it with a melody, and than the song is growing up. In this track, voice samples are used a lot. I like how Phobia edited the voice samples and played with it during the whole song. Sur, it's not as good as how Infected Mushroom does it, but it's still nicely done. On 2:17 come the bassline and kick, and for sure everyone aren't going to like it, however I do. With the voice sample that come then, it just give this track a nice rythmic. On 3:59, you can hear some acid sounds, which actualy fits well with the song. And at 5:17, you can clearly hear the main melody. Very nice, sounding like if Mozart made it, seriously ! And than Phobia add the bassline, and everything is greatly growing up, with another melody in background. At 6:10, the song is clearly taking another dimension, playing with the melodies, giving the whole track a great dynamic and power. The basslines aren't exceptionnal, it's quite basic bassline, but the melody are greatly done, you can feel that Phobia worked a lot on them. Another great song ! Grind (Phobia remix) : This is a remix of the song "Grind", made by Tactic Mind and Loud. This track sound differently from the other one of the album. It has a darker Atmosphere, with a heavier kick. The song isn't very interesting until 3:23 . Until there, except nice edited voice samples, there's nothing extraordinary. But on 3:23, the song is growing up, and on 3:35 it's just amazing ! Very nice bassline and kick. Another big break, and the whole thing is going on again on 5:15. Nice background melody and nice growing up stuff ! It's on 5:44 that the entire thing is just droped. That's nice, but not as good as in the other track of the album. Overall, a correct track but far away from the first one ! Plant yourself : Again, some voice sample, growing up stuff, and at 0:55 come kick and the nice bassline. As in the other song, background melodies and some acid sounds are used to build the track up. I don't like much the background sound on 2:31, that doesn't sound very well, but except that, there's not much things to say : the track is nicely builded up, but it miss of something big, with a great melody, at the middle of the song. But it's at 5:00 that the song is being great. a voice sample come with a background melody - which is slowly growing up, until reaching it's higher point. And on 5:42, you can hear an amazing symphony, a great combinaison realized with kick, bassline, snare, hat, melodies and spacy sounds...Something that, again, I've never heard in any other Psychedelic Trance song, except in the other track of this album. A good track, but why do we have to wait so long to realize that the track is so amazing ? Could be better if the first part of the song included more melodies ! Adaptation : Another song with some good melodies ! However, in this one, except the good melodies, there's nothing that stand out of the track ! It's still nicely going on, with good ascents and break, but the track isn't amazing. Not a bad song, but the worse one of the album. Night Parade : The song start with a strange sound, I don't really like it. Then, as for the other track, come the kick and bassline. It's not bad, but it's a bit getting repetitiv. I means, the bassline isn't amazing, backgrouds effects sound are still made of good quality, but there's nothing exceptionnal. But the "second" part of the song (I means after the big break at the middle of the song), at 4:20, changes everything. It's slowly but surely growing up, using a voice sample from the famous film "8 Miles" (I was watching this film the other day, when suddenly I heard someone speaking in the film, and my brain was like "Oooh I already heard that in a psychedelic trance song !"). And on 4:59, Phobia is giving all the stuff he got, to give this track a great dynamic, with nice melodies and background sounds. But here again, why do we have to wait all this time to be able to hear this nice builded up stuff ? So, not a bad song, but I would say that the first part of the song isn't very good. It's in the second part of the song that things are good ! Culture Hall : This song contains some french samples, which you do not often hear in Psychedelic trance song (Except in some Jaia's song). It uses nice effects and background sounds, but as for the other song, the first part of the track isn't very amazing. It's when come a big break, at the middle of the song, and especially when everything is dropped, at 4:39, that this track is getting awesome. At 4:39, there's a very nice bassline with nice melody going on in background. At 6:25, the song reach it's higher point. This is at this moment that the whole symphony is going on, with good kick and bassline, awesome background effect and a great melody ! A good track, but the first part of the track still need few improvements. The rite of Spring : One of my favourite song of the album, because you don't have to wait the middle of the song to hear something exceptionnal. During the whole song, Phobia use edited voice samples and some melodies to build up this great track. On 1:56, by example, the voices samples goes very well with the rest of the song. I've to say the kick is very powerfull and the bassline is quite good. Sure, that doesn't sound like any other psychedelic trance track, but this is also what make this track so original and pleasant to listen. There is always something different going on. By example, at 3:17, a nice melody grows up in background. There isn't any moment where you find it repetitiv, Phobia always give you something awesome to listen. On 3:56, it's just amazing how the melody sounds good ! Counter Point : Here we go with last track of the album. Another song with many melodies, accompanied with nice bassline and kick. I've to say that at the beginning of the song, it contains the melodies that I do like the less of the entire album. It's correct, but it could have be better if the melodies were simply different at the start. However, this sound like something fresh in the psychedelic trance genre, something that I've never heard before, and this contribute to make this album so particular. In the second part of the song (starting at 5:30, slowly building up and going to a very nice melody !), you can hear a very nice melody with nice background sounds. And on 6:09, you have another great symphony, with amazing melody, later accompanied with samples that fit it very well. A very nice track, not one of the best of the album, but still a good one ! Overall : Adaptation is definitly an amazing psy-trance album ! Every track sounds like not any other psy-trance track does, which make it very fresh and pleasent to listen. Almost every songs contain incredible melodies, with great ascents and break, leading to awesome symphony ! Just damn it that for a lot of track, the second part, when everythings stop and when come a big break and then when the song build up again, is the best part of the song. Often, the first part only lay the foundation of the track with the kick, the basslines and some backgrounds sound. A lot of track could have been better if the main melody were use since the start of the track to build something big. The first track of the album is a great example : since the debut of the song, you can hear the main melody, but it's only at the middle of the song that you hear this melody at it's best point, when it's totally developped. Sure, it's also a question of personnal taste, and everybody aren't going to be agree with my opinion, but this is one of my favourite psychedelic trance album. I never ever heard such symphonies in any other Psychedelic trance song, that what make this Album so good. Best track : 1, 9 Worst track : 6 Rating : 9/10 To buy it : Psyshop Discogs Amazon
  23. Information : Artist : Various Title : Goa Trance Revolution Label : Goa-Trance.com Date : 08 May 2013 Genre : Goa trance Tracklist : 1. Afgin - Goa Ahead 2. Goasia - Sundance 3. Blue Planet Corporation – Alidade (Classical Mix) Review : And here we go ! Goa-trance.com, which is at start just a facebook group, decided to contact some artist to release a compilaton of Goa trance song. So what you will find on this compilation will mostly be Newschool Goa trance song. One more thing to add : it's a limited edition (500 CD only). Afgin - Goa head : Compilation begins with this track from Afgin and I've to say I've seen better work from him. However, this ain't a bad track : a loud kick, some nice melody all along the song, by exemple at 4:41. Well, not an awesome track but not a bad track neither ! Goasia - Sundance : Sundance ! Ahh ! I don't know about you, but the sound wich start the song make me think of a desert, at midday, where the sun is so strong that nothing else resist to him ! Then, the song continue with a nice melody (Ok, some of you will say it's a bit cheesy, cmon guys that doesn't sound bad !) and an energizing rythmic ! Then it continue with other melodies ! The melodies are very oriental-like tunes, and for this compilation, it just fit perfectly ! Not necessery to say more about this track, that's a good one from Goasia ! Indoor - Bom Shankar : This is the kind of track, you only need to hear the kick, the bass and the intro to know it's gonna be an amazing release ! And that's it ! Bom Shankar, from Indoor, start with a nice and strong kick, accompanied with nice bassline. There's a kind of goa tune in background, and then comme the main melody : WAOUV ! A very nice melody, which one give a "dark" aspect to this track (Nothing to do with dark psytrance...). Then you got another melody, Im not going to give you the entire description of the song, just to say you, the melodies are very nice, fits very well with the kick & bass, the song got a nice structure, the intro is nice, the tune are also awesome....I personnaly think it's the best track of this compilation ! Radical Distortion - Asinar : A short intro and a powerfull kick for this track ! And it fast comes with melodies ! What to say about this song ? Well, there's some nice Melodies (haha you're going to tell me I've said it for every track but damn isn't that true ?!), and I like how some break are made. For example, at 4:14. Oh and I forgot about the bassline, wich is quite nice ! That's it, not an amazing but a good track ! S.U.N. Project - Out of my brain (Old school mix) : As this is an Old school Mix, I decided to listen to the original mix before review this one. So let's be honest : the original one is a nice psy-trance track (altought I consider it has a goa kick, the melody are more psytrance than goa). I've heard a lot of old school goa song remixed in psy-trance or progressive psy-trance, but i've rarely (to be honest never) heard the opposite. And that's what we got with this old school mix. So, it start with a nice kick and pretty simple but nice bassline. Than come the main tune, this guitar melody, which is very nice and change of the oriental-like melody used in the other song, but not very different of the original mix. Where it does change, it's how the melody is re-used in the other part of the song, it's very well used, the structure make it more goa-trance like, a nice work so. Only little thing : the damned melody starting at 4:36 !!! Guys, im Sorry to have to say that, but it sound like butchering an ostrich Except that, it's a good overall track, with good guitar tune. Liquid Flow - Subconscious Minds : A good track, with dynamic melody and strong kick. You know it sound a bit like those nitzhonot tune : it goes a bit "everywhere", but in this goa trance song, the melody are well compacted, I means they do fit with the structure of the track. To be honest, one of the reason why I bought the compil', is that I heard a preview of every track and the preview of this one just amazed me ! Laughing Skull - The Shine Side : A nice song, with deep and powerfull melodies ! The one starting at 3:46 is just amazing, the best of the entire album for me ! You can also hear a very short voice sample at end of the track, if I state it it's because there's very very few voice sample in this compilation ! There's a nice outro. A nice song overall, the second best one of the compilation for me ! Omnivox - Corona : I am a bit disappointed of this song. I find the first melody cheesy, however the other one are ok, it's just this first one, who come back several time in the song which doesn't sound great to me. There's a nice break in the middle/end of the track, then it slowly grow up and when you're at the top, here come a damned melody...Yes, this cheesy melody ! That's seriously the "black point" of this track, except that, it's an okey track ! At the end of the track this cheesy melody is even being better ! Blue Planet Corporation – Alidade (Classical Mix) : Here we go with last track of this compil' ! First of all, I like the introduction, slowly growing, but slowly being strong, with nice tune ! Well, this is a Classical Mix, I don't know what the "classical" stand for, I just saw that the original Mix was longer than this one, and had a different mastering, a longer intro...(To be honest I didn't listen to the entire original mix, I know this is a classic for goa trance, but excuse me there's so much to listen in the psychedelic trance!). So, to make it short, it's a very nice track, very soft, with those piano melodies, this pretty nice kick and this soft atmosphere ! It make me think a bit about "Jaia - Mai Mai", but in a different way ! As mai mai, it's very soft and relaxing, but there's no voice sample. So, a pretty nice track, which fit well for a compilation ending. Overall : Goa trance Revolution is a very good newschool goa trance compilation ! If you like newschool goa trance, I strongly recommend it, it has nice melodies ! If you're more an oldschool goa trance fan, I still recommend it, because you know, there's not much newschool goa trance compilation and this one is the perfect example of what newschool goa trance is !
