  1. Artist: Filteria Title: Live With The Lag Label: Suntrip Records Release: 29th April 2022 Things change, the world changes, we change but one thing we can be sure of is Filteria's powerful, crazy and beautiful symphonies. If someone had of asked you about the expected changes of the world 5 years ago another solid Filteria Release might have actually been the only thing you got right. Is that because Goa trance is the truth? HUH? Is it? Yea, that is why. This album is easily my favourite of his albums. And to be perfectly honest the only one I've really found myself getting fully immersed within. Much softer undertones and more uplifting floating moments than seen in previous albums but on the same trajectory. From Sky input, to Heliopolis to Daze and Lost in the Wild, this has very much been the direction Filteria is heading. Is this the Apex? Who knows, there is more time and trance seems to live in this sweet man. The stock markets have crashed, the housing markets have crashed, the crypto markets have crashed - But Filteria keeps us soaring to the Moon and beyond! Anyway, this is surprisingly the most concise review i've done yet. Enjoy https://suntriprecords.bandcamp.com/album/live-with-the-lag

  3. A demo for an unrealised project Hallucinogen in Classical - Gamma Goblins (draft)
  4. Artist: Various Title: Flight 604 Chapter II Label: Zion 604 Date: June, 2014 1. Sykespico - Travelling Fullmoonlight 2. Cymatics - Out of the Blue 3. New Born - A Fairy In a World of Machines 4. Nexus Plexus - Born To The Purple 5. Inner Zone - Disco Valley 6. Libra - Spectradelic 7. OctaPulse - Night Vision 8. Skizologic - Maya 9. Art of Trance Vs. Loud & Domestic - Moroccan Roll (Original Mix) Even better than purple drapes. This is like getting a supermodel to be your after school tutor. And five minutes into the first calculus problem you find out she just broke up with her boyfriend, always thought you were cute, and really doesn't want to be alone tonight. Good bye calculus hello anatomy! I really did not see this coming. The first Flight 604 was fine, but this...Every label has a release that puts them on the map and cements their reputation as major players. DAT had Etnica. Cronomi had Portamento. Suntrip had...well, everything. This is the watershed moment for the gentlemen over at Zion604. After their Phoenix compilation and The Green Room album from Deviant Electronics these guys have definitely hit their stride. Like a three point shooter in a rhythm they're heating up. Nah, f*ck it they're on fire! Classic arcade game shout out! Every track is a stomping good journey down goa trance avenue. It's an amazing display of melodies and twirling opportunities. New school? Old school? Hell no this is summer school where class is in session on the beaches of India. It's magical trance that you can't help but get swept up in. I don't recognize who most of the artists are, but it's like going to a new school and finding out everyone is cool. Even the last track which is more progressive than goa. I thoroughly enjoyed dancing to this release and tip my hat to Mr. Perpler for the mastering. The whole ablum sounds fantastic and should be listened to from start to finish. Don't know much about DJs (except that now apparently Paris Hilton is one meaning your profession just dropped in cool points to about the level of Rosie O Donnell sex tape), but even she could rock a party just by pushing play and pretending to twist some knobs. Top notch work people and a leading candidate for release of the year. Zion604 Bandcamp Mdk
  5. My channel features vintage audio equipment demonstrations and psychedelic music from vinyl records. I also DJ old school goa trance from the 90s. I was taught how to mix using house and techno techniques from my aunt DJ Dawna Montell and our style utilizes phrasing in unique ways to allow long, seamless, transitions from one track to the next by playing them both at the same time for an extended period of time creating an all new "third" track from the combined melodies of both records making it difficult for listeners to identify when one track ends and the other begins. There aren't very many goa and psy DJs who mix like me so I take pride in what I'm able to bring to DJing psychedelic trance. Ill leave a link to my most acclaimed mix. It currently has the most all time views on psynews site and was well received on soundcloud. Please like comment and share. Dont forget to subscribe. Let's keep psy alive for generations to come.
  6. Hi dear friends, Here is my new album "Inner Space". A trip into Goa classic Trance. I hope you enjoy it. https://ankrosado.bandcamp.com/album/inner-space Nice trips, Ankrosado
  7. Hi everybody Since I discovered Psychedelic Trance, there are approximately 1-2 years I have never ceased to observe what I had observed in the Hardcore scene, Industrial, Rock,...etc : there are so many styles and sub-styles that it becomes a mess to find a way and we sometimes end (or even often) to nonsensical debates about how we will appoint or not appoint, define or not define, this or that music or this or that style. So I decided there are now more than a year to create a doc in PDF form gathering all styles of Psychedelic Trance and their characteristics without making pies of texts to infinity and beyond. http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/2901243725316.jpg It will be a little more than a year (or almost, must take breaks anyway ) to skim all anglophone and francophone forums, searching the most representative artists of every style, and recovering some information and definitions stuffed with spelling mistakes on Wikipedia, clumsy repetitions, discount translations all straight out of the English version of Wikipedia passed under Google Translate, and other calamities, and to correct then to complement them. Obviously, if you find an ugly lack of agreement/spelling well hidden in the bushes, an incomplete definition, or one of your prefered style/artist thatsmasheseverythingbutreallyeverything that is not referenced, feel free to sh*t in my face please let me know, it will be corrected in the shortest possible time if need there. Last update of the PDF: 03.10.2019 at 11:56 p.m. (Paris time) Here is the link for the English version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4hr2pdwhonek82o/Psytrance (EN).pdf?dl=0 Here is the link for the (original) French version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q84tbn46xrmmgji/Psytrance.pdf?dl=0 /!\ The Dropbox online reader doesn't support external and internal links in pdf files anymore, so you must download it and open it with a pdf reader if you want the links to work /!\ Here is the original (French) post on the French forum "trancegoa.org" : https://www.trancegoa.org/forum/trance/40857_mise-a-jour-n50-la-trance-psychedelique-dans-son-integralite Thank you for your attention

  9. Hello everyone, this post is to introduce our little new adventure, a sublabel that was born after many years working within the realms of unreleased music. We have received a lot of promos from artist from all the eras and have also actively searched and investigated a lot of projects that were otherwise forgotten. The idea came naturally as an extension to DAT Records and to create a digital sublabel was a necessity as there is a huge interest for the oldschool goa trance and psytrance music in all its forms. With this sub-label in fact, we are trying to promote not just the typical sound that we would promote within the main label but to open wide our horizons and include some styles and genres that we normally have not published. Will it be including modernly produced music? Not yet, as we do have a huge catalogue of releases almost ready to go and it is thanks to the work of the whole team of the Unreleased Goa blog that we have achieved this. But this is the adventure mostly of Vas Cosmogenesis, a precious collaborator who was through in his investigations and relentlessly contacted hundreds of artists in the years to prepare for this launch. I came up with the label name and we started moving early in this year. Now you can listen to the fruit of our hard work and we do hope to get some support and appreciation for all that has been done. We are very happy of the upcoming releases and you'll be surprised, I am sure! Enjoy http://www.datrecords.it/dat/unreleased-goa-records/ugr-announcement.html https://unreleasedgoarecords.bandcamp.com/
  10. Hello Everyone! I used to have a thread here with DAT Records update but well, I have no idea where it has gone, so I thought I could start a new one anyway. I have been extremely busy in the last months because I was working on a lot of things, some of which were properly announced and on some others that are still secret and waiting to be told . Let me start with announcing that finally I have updated the website of DAT: http://www.datrecords.it/ I have added the News where I will always have the 3 latest pages and then there are proper sections for all that I do with the label: Releases, the Mind Rewind saga, the T-shirts (yay!), and the Vinyl crowdfunding, which really needs your help in this final stage. Every other page has been updated as well so to make it look better and v2.0 so please, have a look. Then speaking of releases I am happy to announce this week, on the 4th of April 2014 the 2 newest singles will come out, and how good they are, really! You'd hear soon enough... Virtuart & Symbiote. Then I can tell you that the first VA on DAT will come out in the near future and will be called Analog Dreams, it's part of a trilogy that hopefully will have a release every year. As soon as I receive the last contract signed I will announce the tracklist on another thread and boy you don't wanna miss this one. Then after that there will be a 2CD Album, something really unexpected (not yet IFO guys) but that will be a blasting surprise, I can promise you that... So anyway, be prepared for a lot of old music remastered and never heard before on DAT! Draeke

  12. Which of these widely recognized classics best stood the test of time? (By no means a complete list, these are frequent ones that popped up in similar threads over the years.) Any more you think should be added, or removed even? Did some cheddar age badly or on the contrary perhaps gained a nice flavor and aroma? Milestones or overrated? All perspectives are welcome.

  19. https://progressive-anarchists.bandcamp.com/album/la-laguna-negra It has been over four years since we released our album West Meets East. So it is time for another physical release. Our new EP 'La Laguna Negra' comes with two tracks merging the typical 1990s Goa sound with post rock. The first idea was to re-arrange the tracks to get a playing time which matches the size of a 7-inch vinyl single. But the current waiting times to get a vinyl release pressed are too long and the prices have increased too much. For this reason, we decided to release this EP physically on CD containing the tracks in their full length. The CD is available exclusively on Bandcamp as a limited edition of 55 (only 45 of them are offered). The digital release is also available on all major download and streaming platforms. We hope you enjoy it.
  20. Artist: M-Run Title: Live Session Album Label: Cronomi Records Date: March, 2020 1. Live Session 1 - A Trip to Andromeda 2. Live Session 2 - Technosonic 3. Live Session 3 - Spiral Cloud 4. Live Session 4 - Chronos (Live Version) 5. Live Session 5 - The Magic Mug 6. Live Session 6 - The Redeemer 7. Live Session 7 - Hexagon 8. Live Session 8 - Oxigenated Seal What's this? A new M-run album? Sure, I'll dig into this. Let me get a cup of coffee first to keep focused. Hold my calls. Ahhh...that's the stuff. Now let's see...M-run for those that don't know is Mario Matakovic from Croatia and this is his second album. His first Some Run Just For Fun was a revelation in the goa trance scene. Easily a classic chock full of butt shaking grooves that took goa into directions never before seen. If you're a fan of goa trance it is mandatory listening. So with his second album for the Cronomi label he embarked on a very ambitious project, giving us a behind the scene look how he creates his music in the studio. So he created his tracks, practiced and rehearsed shooting for a recording in one take. Do you realize how difficult and extraordinary that is? Easy? Sure, maybe for an octopus. But to control an entire track and play it flawlessly in one take? And each track had a different hardware setup? I wonder how much F word was uttered during those takes. How many cats were kicked because he messed up one little bit and had to start all over again? I wouldn't be surprised if he was sick to death of playing these tracks. If I were you Mario I would be looking over my shoulder for PETA. They don't take kindly to cat kicking. "Ok Mario...take 76. F*cking hell." So what's the music like? First I'll say this is not Some Run II. Yes there are plenty of grooves and his production is second to none. Each track is its own tale and it is super easy to get lost inside. While his first album was an atom bomb with one jaw dropping moment after another this one is more laid back. It's not so much a "get on the dancefloor album" (although you could certainly dance to it), but more of a cerebral relaxed vibe. There are plenty of head bobbing beats and space age sound effects and even some times where it is powerful (Spiral Cloud, Hexagon). His production is second to none (love me some kicks without hi-hats to start a track) and I can honestly say it grows on me with each repeated listen. The all important first track sets the tone, bringing an organic and mysterious allure. Technosonic with its vocoded speech brings a down and dirty groove. The Magic Mug is like sitting in a groovy cauldron during an Egyptian summer. The Redeemer carries such a funky swagger while continuously building on its foundation that it is instantly one of my favorites. I would say this is another triumph for Mario. His two albums are distinctly different, but share equally impressive music. I heartily recommend this album. Cronomi Bandcamp
  21. SELF-RELEASED AND NOT ON LABEL - DIGITAL AND ON RED VINYL Website * Soundcloud * Youtube * Discogs FREE TO LISTEN tracklist: A1: Aerosoles A2: Sandwiched Homes A3: Ostpolitik B1: Radio From Gliese 581C B2: Church Of Ghosts B3: Island Of Stability The vinyl release is based on a different master to satisfy the different preferences of different listeners and the characteristics of this media. It is self-released and not on label. about the album The album "West Meets East" contains a selection of six songs in an untypical style of psychedelic music - influenced by various kinds of electronic music as well as progressive rock and post rock. The production of West Meets East has been done using various hardware synthesizers which were sometimes played using MIDI guitars and electronic wind controllers with the goal to play unknown and rare sounds in an uncommon way. The goal of the Progressive Anarchists is to compose genre-free psychedelic music with a progressive flow and rare sounds. The music may be described as a mixture of "Old School" goa trance, ambient, dub as well as post rock and even classic rock. But it isn't really anything of that - just to imagine. how to get The digital version of this album is available on the most popular streaming and download platforms but the album can also be listened for free on Soundcloud or be downloaded on our website for free. The vinyl release may be ordered at bandcamp. Use the discount code 'psybient' to get 10% off. https://progressive-anarchists.bandcamp.com/ about Progressive Anarchists We are two guys (Paul and Thomas) from central Germany working together in our studio. The production of electronic music is more or less a hobby of us. Progressive Anarchists were originally found in the MID-1990s to release Fasttracker files. During the years, a studio has been created a DAW with different hardware and soft synths replaced the old Fasttracker. After releasing many single tracks just to provide them as free downloads over the years, we decided to release an album with six selected works on vinyl.
  22. Artist: Ephedra Title: Journey Through My Head Label: Goa Madness Records Date: October, 2014 1. We Are Not Alone 2. Beyond Spaces 3. Crispy Biscuits 4. Souls In Trance 5. The Walk of the Little Green Man 6. Little Molecules 7. Experiments 8. Bubblized 9. Smiling Sun (2013 Edit) Wow. Just...wow. Did anyone see this coming? Goa Madness Records is one of the new kids on the block and this label has had quite the beginning. Their first release was a compilation called Memories From Goa Madness. They played it safe and it was tried and true goa trance. Nah, it was better than that in this reviewer's opinion. So fresh off the success of that release they drop this bomb on us. This is the debut album of Alexandre Cohen and it is beautiful. So many swirling melodies and those acid sounds are verily delicious. Set your phasers to maximum twirling because this is a journey that catches you up and doesn't let go. Twists and turns abound and the sound is terrific. It's a full and rich atmosphere with screeching leads and layers of immeasurable beauty. I'm sorry I don't have anything funny to say or silly gifs to post. This is just a fantastic release and rightly deserves consideration for goa trance album of the year. Superb job my friend. Psyshop Beatspace Mdk
