  3. Hey there! My name is Seppe, and I just made my profile here. I've been producing goa trance for 2 years now, and my artist name is Globox. My goal is to make tracks with a more 90's oldschool sound, but I don't know if it always works out that way though :p I like to put a lot of acid in my music, but still keep it very melodic. Recently, I played my very first live-set at a party in Brussels, and now I uploaded it to mixcloud. Most of these tracks were never released online, so tell me what you think (P.S. you can find me on Soundcloud (https://soundcloud.com/globoxgoa), but most of my tracks aren't online.)

  5. Hi everybody Since I discovered Psychedelic Trance, there are approximately 1-2 years I have never ceased to observe what I had observed in the Hardcore scene, Industrial, Rock,...etc : there are so many styles and sub-styles that it becomes a mess to find a way and we sometimes end (or even often) to nonsensical debates about how we will appoint or not appoint, define or not define, this or that music or this or that style. So I decided there are now more than a year to create a doc in PDF form gathering all styles of Psychedelic Trance and their characteristics without making pies of texts to infinity and beyond. It will be a little more than a year (or almost, must take breaks anyway ) to skim all anglophone and francophone forums, searching the most representative artists of every style, and recovering some information and definitions stuffed with spelling mistakes on Wikipedia, clumsy repetitions, discount translations all straight out of the English version of Wikipedia passed under Google Translate, and other calamities, and to correct then to complement them. Obviously, if you find an ugly lack of agreement/spelling well hidden in the bushes, an incomplete definition, or one of your prefered style/artist thatsmasheseverythingbutreallyeverything that is not referenced, feel free to sh*t in my face please let me know, it will be corrected in the shortest possible time if need there. Last update of the PDF: 03.10.2019 at 11:56 p.m. (Paris time) Here is the link for the English version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/x7po6dz18w4e0rm/Psytrance%20(EN).pdf?dl=0 Here is the link for the (original) French version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/eoi1kr5tbnydhul/Psytrance.pdf?dl=0 /!\ The Dropbox online reader doesn't support external and internal links in pdf files anymore, so you must download it and open it with a pdf reader if you want the links to work /!\ Here is the original (French) post on the French forum "trancegoa.org" : https://www.trancegoa.org/forum/trance/40857_mise-a-jour-n50-la-trance-psychedelique-dans-son-integralite Thank you for your attention

  7. Artist: M-Run Title: Some Run Just For Fun Label: Cronomi Records Date: October, 2012 1. Return To Yourself 2. Ethereal Resonator 3. Cognitive Disorder 4. Custodian 5. Galactic Hunt Part II 6. Abduction Phenomena 7. Alien Brain Train 8. Twin Sister Some run just for fun. Whatever. Those people are crazy. Even in my twenties when I was a sprinter it wasn't cause it was fun. It was because I wanted to beat you. Because I wanted you to think you had a shot at beating me only to watch your face fall when I kicked in that extra gear. Or because in my thirties I wanted to make the crowd do a double take because there was no way that I should've been able to reach that long frisbee throw. Dickish I know. I don't have to be the fastest Robin. Just faster than you. But for fun? Nope. Don't get it. You know who gets it? Cronomi. This label while not as prolific as Suntrip has released some absolute crackers in the genre. The Portal by Portamento and the Erta Ale compilation were outstanding. So here they go again with a limited release by M-Run ( Mario Matakovich) who only released two tracks (Goat Man and Kapala) and that was on Erta Ale. Obviously from the less is more school, he understands you give the public a taste so that they will keep coming back for more. Got news for you. You make music like this I will be at your doorstep. Return To Yourself- "These are the victims of psychotic behavior." That kick makes me want to hit the heavy bag. Not you ma'am. Ok, you. It's got some funky disco swagger that is infectious. What I really like is that the melodies are not the usual twisting spirals, but something wholly original. Take the chopped up bit...genius. There are plenty of twists to keep things fresher than cucumbers in my crisper. Even the cuckoo sample brings the tribal funk. How the f*ck did you work that in there? Outstanding. And that was just a taste. Ethereal Resonator- Now you may be asking yourself how do you follow that up and the answer is with more funky rhythms and ripping leads. Attitude heavy goa trance with continued evolution that never seems to break stride. It's like the master of disguise up in here. Funky, melodic, and not afraid to challenge you in the slightest. Cognitive Disorder- Crazy motherf*cker. Has he even broken 140 bpm's yet? More funkadelia rolls over you in waves and I'm sitting here with my mouth wide open. The sample is annoying, but only because it's so long otherwise it worked for me. Do you think he knew because he came out of it swinging like a black chick after you called her a bitch. "Holy sh*t, white people hide! The hulk is loose!" Custodian- It's outer space goa with a bouncy vibe and a wicked lead melody. Face meet huge sh*t eating grin. Edgy sounds with layers that seem too good to be true and I'm only 4 minutes in! Oh...can I get a little soul clap? This is another awesome piece of music that throws multiple punch combinations. Over here being a custodian, while honest hard work, isn't the most glamorous mode d'emploi. But if it were like this... Galactic Hunt Part II- Where was the first part? This is 9 and a half minutes of pure madness. The middle is the calmest portion of this CD and I guess the break, but it still doesn't stop. He lets it run to allow you to get caught up. When he finally gets to the break it's alien and liquid at the same time. Part Syb Unity Nettwerk and part Merr0w. Abduction Phenomena- 1o minutes. 10 minutes of joy. He lays down a rhythm and syncs the bass with rapid fire melodies and eerie effects. It has some old school feel as well as some slight nitzho appeal. There are just so many changes that it's impossible to get bored with this. Alien Brain Train- Love the way he offers numerous melodic "snippets" in layers with this one. There is a lot going on and it's full of motion. Maybe this is what it's like running through space like that guy in the funny underpants on the cover. The undercurrent of...unease is palpable and at the same time it's very twirl friendly. What a journey! Yeah that happened when I hit play... Twin Sister- With an industrial opening and some more heavy percussive bass it doesn't even feel like goa trance until he slides those melodies in you like a suede condom. Alien vocalizations and cauldrons a bubbling make me hug the blanket a little tighter and the little melody at 4 minutes brings it all together. Power, atmosphere...this is music to soothe the savage beast. Wait...soothing is not the right word. Poking with a sharp stick, yeah that's it. "Hey! Hey Frosted Flakes! Quit making fun of the Asians! Hate that tiger." I wanna have sex with this CD. Straight up sweaty monkey love with all the dirty talk. Is that wrong? Do I now have to register as a sex offender. Worth it. (Psssttt...no it's not.) For me this is so mind blowingly different than anything else out there. Huge beats remind you that it's cool to dance and melodies that just don't scramble up and down the scale. It can be rough like Sky Input and it's always in your face. He takes goa to a place it hasn't gone exploring all the dirty areas goa trance producers are won't to travel. I recently reviewed the stellar Mindsphere Patience For Heaven calling it one of the best new school releases ever. I stand by that. Good thing there is always room for great music at the top. This is right up there but for different reasons. Where PFH was lush and beautiful storytelling on a grand scale this is the most psychedelic goa trance experience I have ever had. Highly evolving originality throughout the whole album. The tracks are long and chock full of everything you could want in goa trance. M-Run, Mindsphere, E-Mantra, Artifact303, Portamento, Crossing Mind, Artha, Afgin, Sky Technology, Somnesia, Space Elves...it's good to like goa trance these days. Cronomi Web Shop Mdk

A no-holds barred psychedelic journey is on the agenda. It will take you from the sounds of Melodic Goa Trance with TSUYOSHI SUZUKI and ETNICA, INNERZONE and TOTAL ECLIPSE to blasting Full On dance floor dynamics with YOUTH, NERVASYSTEM, HAUTACAM and MIRSON, before BUMBLING LOONS and ROBERT ELSTER (aka VIBRASPHERE) leave us on a beautiful high with their deep, chunky hypnotic Trance grooves. Listen/Order at Bandcamp: www.dragonflyrecordsuk.bandcamp.com Listen, Stream & Order from your other favourite online outlets dragonfly.lnk.to/orderodonatametamorphosis ORDER ODONATA was first released in 1993 by music producer and Killing Joke Bassist, Martin ‘YOUTH’ Glover. “Order Odonata quickly created a complete revolution in electronic music that continues to this very day. Now considered to be the very first trance album released, it became the default template and inspiration for an entirely new genre, Psychedelic Trance (otherwise known as Psy Trance), and over the preceding 26 years, it still retains its fresh vibe, relevance and timelessness. Today Psy Trance is bigger and more relevant than ever before! The world has never needed all the different people to come together and dance as much as it does today, so it seems like the right time to continue the Order Odonata tradition once again.” YOUTH, Milwaukee 2019 released December 13, 2019

  10. What's the protocol here? 1998 review section or 2019? When I.F.O came out we considered that a 2015 release. Akashic Dreaming has had a remaster yea? Jaroslov's recent work right? No way this sounded so bad ass in 1998. I suppose we can call it a 2019 release then? Same goes for all of Classic Goa Trax and the rest of the Unreleased Goa Records catalogue? Maybe there is a better place to ask this, but 2 birds with one stone is my kinda shtyle, and you can't block my Shtyle. 'HMMMZZZZEEEEER! There was a compliment in there, so I guess part of that was relevant to the conversation. That compliment was there for a reason, this is super funky and well produced Goa that sounds like it lives in 2019. Artist: DreamChild Title: Akashic Dreaming Label: Unreleased Goa Records Date: 8 October 2019 Arcania Organic Nova Systen Shock FoxGlove Digital Mantra Fractal Amoeba Spiritual Flux Manta Ray With an album cover that would make Har-el cry, Unreleased Goa Records presents DreamChild - Akashic Dreaming. We not only have two artists that like diving dolphins, but two major labels dedicated to finding unreleased goodies from a time before the present. Akashic Dreaming is a wonderfully titled title. Each track contains elements of pure trance, Dreamy ambient breaks, exciting climaxes and heavy synths that twist and spin with other melodies. Arcania starts off lovely and sweet before giving us the dancing melodies and sweet ambient breaks. the track goes from light to dark and back again just wonderfully, a real spiritual treat. Organic Nova is so far my listened to track. Super funky, and cool. Yes there is a weak lispy melody does come in at 2:30 but gets made up for 30 seconds later. The rest of the track is a big old hoedown with metallic melodies slut dropping it low, Graceful ambient in a wet t-shirt competition, climaxes of firefighting strippers ripping their protective gear off, bass lines fucking in the cubicle, then the whole track pops a molly that hits right as we all thought the fun was over. Powerful final act. System Shock You would think that Dreamchild wouldn't be able to catch me in dreamy breaks as often as he does but that's exactly what happens. This time only a minute into the track and before I knew it I was blasting out of a smooth tumble dryer filled with warm towels into dance land. A complete anthem that gets me again 3 minutes later. The acts are so huge that you just assume it's all over when the drapes of warm towels are gently placed over you. A lull into safety that you want to always be there, but that's not what this crazy life has planned for you. Back into the dance lands we get sent again and again, a system shock. FoxGlove Only a 16 year old bmx rider would have the right word for this track and it would be 'Rusty':- Bruh! A little more low-key and freaky than what i've heard so far and it works. Dreamchild has great range in music but it all feels distinctly him by the sweet treatment that he gives to those breaks and the growing of a track right to the end. It feels like if he didn't have to wrap his tracks up he wouldn't. Digital Mantra is just incredible digital funk and Mantrafuls of fun, the cyber feel and electric melodies all create quite the show. This track would put Michael-Faraday-the-father-of-electronics-as-told-by-Charles-Ludwig into cardiac arrest. The final act really takes the track to another stage and makes sure that you keep flying upwards, you would think I would be use to this by now but every climax comes with a big beautiful surprise. Possibly the best track here but fuck it they are all good. Fractal Amoeba uses its big fat lead to kick the track right off into dimension 6's synthetic world. As melodic layers pile on onto one another, the track beams forward through the higloops and ding-globs that glitter this landscape, like silken mountains of fin-glum. Sweet ambient background noises manage to find their way back into the track giving us beautiful break after beautiful break. Spiritual Flux has the kind of title that I expect crazy stuff to from. The intro is promising and dark, a different direction, a theme, right from the beginning Spiritual Flux is ticking boxes. Boxes getting ticked all over to be honest. Spiritual Flux stays focused and badass to the end with another big moment in the final act, explosions of dark energy that grow into big bad monsters. Manta Ray brings us back to the light. The beautiful midway break lifts me into a state of mind that Mike Tyson must have felt when he realised he could become a legal grower, and then the climax of that break catches me in the face like a left hook from Tyson in 87. Well shit that wraps it up. the 2019 re-release and remaster? of Akashic Dreaming By Dreamchild. What a damn hecking nice experience each one of these tracks gives you. Thanks to Unreleased Goa Records I now know about a badass producer with an infectious shtoyle thanks to this release. I absolutely love (If you cant tell) the attention to the break that isn't just another nice part of his music but a tool that creates all sorts of emotional changes in your psyche, ambient that somehow transports you to another state while building a climax that I personally didn't see coming each time. What a wonder this would be on a dancefloor. I imagine artists don't just give their tracks away to anybody. Suntrip, DAT Records and any else doing this have built a reputation for themselves as the sort of people that can be trusted to preserve and bring forward albums that otherwise may have been lost in time and hazey LSD memories. I don't care what the Russians are saying on Psymusic.ru this is good work. I have another Non album related inappropriately placed question for Unreleased Goa Records, does any one purchase your album from Beatport? How has that site survived so long? I bought my first album from them the other week and couldn't believe the amount of things I found to bitch about during the process. To me Bandcamp has become synonymous with the Goa scene. 12. Hello Everyone! I used to have a thread here with DAT Records update but well, I have no idea where it has gone, so I thought I could start a new one anyway. I have been extremely busy in the last months because I was working on a lot of things, some of which were properly announced and on some others that are still secret and waiting to be told . Let me start with announcing that finally I have updated the website of DAT: http://www.datrecords.it/ I have added the News where I will always have the 3 latest pages and then there are proper sections for all that I do with the label: Releases, the Mind Rewind saga, the T-shirts (yay!), and the Vinyl crowdfunding, which really needs your help in this final stage. Every other page has been updated as well so to make it look better and v2.0 so please, have a look. Then speaking of releases I am happy to announce this week, on the 4th of April 2014 the 2 newest singles will come out, and how good they are, really! You'd hear soon enough... Virtuart & Symbiote. Then I can tell you that the first VA on DAT will come out in the near future and will be called Analog Dreams, it's part of a trilogy that hopefully will have a release every year. As soon as I receive the last contract signed I will announce the tracklist on another thread and boy you don't wanna miss this one. Then after that there will be a 2CD Album, something really unexpected (not yet IFO guys) but that will be a blasting surprise, I can promise you that... So anyway, be prepared for a lot of old music remastered and never heard before on DAT! Draeke
  13. SELF-RELEASED AND NOT ON LABEL - DIGITAL AND ON RED VINYL Website * Soundcloud * Youtube * Discogs FREE TO LISTEN tracklist: A1: Aerosoles A2: Sandwiched Homes A3: Ostpolitik B1: Radio From Gliese 581C B2: Church Of Ghosts B3: Island Of Stability The vinyl release is based on a different master to satisfy the different preferences of different listeners and the characteristics of this media. It is self-released and not on label. about the album The album "West Meets East" contains a selection of six songs in an untypical style of psychedelic music - influenced by various kinds of electronic music as well as progressive rock and post rock. The production of West Meets East has been done using various hardware synthesizers which were sometimes played using MIDI guitars and electronic wind controllers with the goal to play unknown and rare sounds in an uncommon way. The goal of the Progressive Anarchists is to compose genre-free psychedelic music with a progressive flow and rare sounds. The music may be described as a mixture of "Old School" goa trance, ambient, dub as well as post rock and even classic rock. But it isn't really anything of that - just to imagine. how to get The digital version of this album is available on the most popular streaming and download platforms but the album can also be listened for free on Soundcloud or be downloaded on our website for free. The vinyl release may be ordered at bandcamp. Use the discount code 'psybient' to get 10% off. https://progressive-anarchists.bandcamp.com/ about Progressive Anarchists We are two guys (Paul and Thomas) from central Germany working together in our studio. The production of electronic music is more or less a hobby of us. Progressive Anarchists were originally found in the MID-1990s to release Fasttracker files. During the years, a studio has been created a DAW with different hardware and soft synths replaced the old Fasttracker. After releasing many single tracks just to provide them as free downloads over the years, we decided to release an album with six selected works on vinyl.
  14. Old topic with news and upates can be found here. As we're getting slowly in seventh year of our existence in Goa trance realms, thanks to you dear people, we achieved another milestone with 750k downloads at Ektoplazm and Bandcamp. That means a lot to all of us and to all artists who released their music with us. In the behalf of our whole team and artists, THANK YOU so much for staying with us that long! <3 Ektoplazm - http://www.ektoplazm.com/profiles/neogoa Bandcamp - http://neogoarecords.bandcamp.com/
  15. Artist: Nervasystem Title: Time Travel Label: Anjuna Records Date: December, 2013 1. Rotating Rama 2. Non Terrestrial Intelligence 3. Interstellar Mutation 4. Juddervision 5. Dimension Expansion 6. Narcosynthesis 7. Cybermat 8. Karmenbozia I had a dream last night. Nah, cooler. I was at Pink's (yes that one) wedding trying to console her because her family didn't approve of who she was marrying. I wasn't trying to score (not my type) just trying to be nice. For some reason it was in India cause that's the type of sh*t rich white people do. And somehow I managed to hike there from the Appalachian Trail. In Virginia. I know, the trail doesn't even have India as a destination! So anyway, the wedding is over and we have to climb down sheer cliffs to board an elephant that will take us to the ground. My kids are there and just like real life they're fast so I don't see them get on the elephant but I'm on it and we begin to descend. My stomach drops like it would on a roller coaster and he slams into Earth and we disembark. Onto another elephant that will take us to the train home. And I'm sitting next to the mother of an acquaintance from high school who just so happens to be from Goa, India. She tells me that her son wished that we were better friends and that he could play the synthesizers like I could. And in her best New Dehli English said, "That boy always had a love of goa trance." No sh*t. No f*cking way. With that last statement I knew I had to review this album. I haven't had a drink or smoked weed in over a decade and I can only attribute the vivid presentation of this dream to one thing... Meatloaf. That's right, a loaf of meat. To answer your question I will be making the same meatloaf for dinner tonight, I simply must find out if Pink goes through with her nuptials not to mention getting another ride on that elephant. Go figure some people need weed or LSD to open the door to another dimension, mine is available at Wal-Mart for $1.79 a pound. These tunes were written by Mark Dressler & Darren Beale between 1994 and 1996, some of the first tracks they ever recorded. The material was rediscovered when going through some old DAT tapes. Like with the Lucid Flux release there was a regular copy and a limited edition available. They even did posters and T-shirts. Rotating Rama is a thumping bit of psychedelic goa trance right out of the gate. Thumping being the operative word. It's very repetitive (and you'll find this throughout the album), but in a hypnotic way. It gathers you up in an old school goa vortex for over 11 minutes. Non Terrestrial Intelligence is a tale of two halves. The first half was ok, but the 2nd is where the lead went nuts and things took off. Sufficiently warmed up? Because from here to the last track it's it's an old school paddling. The bass hums in Interstellar Mutation as the synths snap crackle and pop in a nasty groove. And Juddervision is...well, it's kinda... Whew! Like that. Dimension Expansion is another bass driven monster with an absolute squealing lead. Narcosynthesis has a funky wobble and had a darkness that reminded me of Syb Unity Nettwerk. So that's a huge thumbs up. Monster track. Cybermat continues the assault with perhaps the most layered and aggressive track. Forceful. The only track that didn't floor me was Karmenbozia, but not a whole lot can keep up with the last several tracks. I was singing the name of the track for a bit though. Without question this is the best release from Anjuna Records. What a treat to get these tracks. This project has always been on the periphery of goa trance for me, but these tracks are extremely good. It's a powerful trip through deep space with screeching leads, bubbly bass, and plenty of darkness. Highly recommended. All it needed was a little meatloaf. Anjuna Records Mdk

  18. Hello everyone, this post is to introduce our little new adventure, a sublabel that was born after many years working within the realms of unreleased music. We have received a lot of promos from artist from all the eras and have also actively searched and investigated a lot of projects that were otherwise forgotten. The idea came naturally as an extension to DAT Records and to create a digital sublabel was a necessity as there is a huge interest for the oldschool goa trance and psytrance music in all its forms. With this sub-label in fact, we are trying to promote not just the typical sound that we would promote within the main label but to open wide our horizons and include some styles and genres that we normally have not published. Will it be including modernly produced music? Not yet, as we do have a huge catalogue of releases almost ready to go and it is thanks to the work of the whole team of the Unreleased Goa blog that we have achieved this. But this is the adventure mostly of Vas Cosmogenesis, a precious collaborator who was through in his investigations and relentlessly contacted hundreds of artists in the years to prepare for this launch. I came up with the label name and we started moving early in this year. Now you can listen to the fruit of our hard work and we do hope to get some support and appreciation for all that has been done. We are very happy of the upcoming releases and you'll be surprised, I am sure! 19. Alright you sons of bitches, whats going on here? 2019 the year you went and sold your souls to the devil? Huh do a little trade with The Beast did we? Condemn yourself through wizardry to become yourselves, sonic wizards? Artist: Sykespico Title: Perspective Label: Suntrip Records Release: September 30, 2019 Tracklist:- 1. Great Light 2. Psycho Therapy 3. Trancologica 4. 6EQJE5 5. Concerta 6. Visit Earth (Live Mix) 7. Dance Float 8. Spacestation 9. Persimon Median project? Jaraluca? Xamanist & now Israeli bad bois Matan Levi & Nadav Elhadad who make up Sykespico? You fellas dealing in dark magic? I always knew these Bad motha's were bad. But now they join the team of artists who release albums that are just about damn extraordinary. Am I easily pleased or have the Goa trance artists of the day kicked it up a notch? Do we deserve music like this? Are we living our lives well enough to warrant a gift like this? Relax, because Matan & Nadav seem to think so. Expect Bravado, Gusto, Excess, New Worlds, Raw Tectonics & Volcanoes of Ecstasy. ~ 1. Great Light - Nothing that begins without a boom ends without one. Nothing. Remember that for the rest of this album and use the 2nd half of this track as your first and final reminder. I really did think this track was going to be chill. My word what an exciting track. 2. Psycho therapy - Ok so now we know what to expect and the boys start it off just as beautifully. An instant transportation into a world full of tranquil expectations. I already know the guys for their brilliant compositions in the breaks of their tracks. And Psycho Therapy makes sure I also know them for a great deal of other good things on top of that. 3. Trancologica - Starts trancey as heck. Is that Osho? I don't know what it is but Indian accents and trance, a match made by Brahma. Expect a lot of good trancological karma and extraordinary soundscapes coming your way for this track. 4. 6EQJE5 - I mean are we here to party or what. That's rhetorical, Just fuck. Goddamn. 2:30 is all you need to know you're about to listen to one of the best trance tracks created. 6EQJE5, remember that one if you can, it's for your own good. There's nothing I can say that would be better than listening to this track. 5. Concerta - The bassline of this track got me stoned which makes it hard to think about what to write. I got it! No I lost it. YES! No it's gone. A crazy good track with celestial melodies that warp around every part of your consciousness. 6. Atmospheres painted by RA float in the background of this track and when the kickdrum came in I realized I didn't know it wasn't there. Matan & Navad know how to create cool worlds with sounds, and flounce those skills in your face on Visit Earth (Live Mix). I can't call it a favourite because each track pretty much is at this point. 7. Dance Float - Aaaaah Haha its on baby. Did you all check in on time? Bring your passports? Remember not to bring more than 50ml of liquids that aren't in a ziplocked bag? Leave your aerosols at home? Because this space ship ain't waiting around. Boom fucking Boom man. A speed of light banger that gives and gives and gives. Special surprises for us everywhere. But how the song composes it's finale is the most special, like lightening strikes of energy this song rocks. 8. Like every track so far Spacestation gains momentum along the journey. But Spacestation decides to swing you between calm (By Sykespico's standards) and crazy atmospheres. As soon as you think the calm is winning the crazy spreads its tentacles of psychedelic euphoria open, slowly engrossing every part it's electrified world. 9. Perlimor Star If you didn't already realise the crazy amazing atmospheres that these guys are compelled to create, you'll soon learn (I haven't head stuff like this since listening to Ra!) This could just as well have been an album opener as well as a closer. Beautiful slow trance that grows bigger and bigger. That grooves up and beyond. Did I just get transported to a the beginning of a new beautiful world being created? No... I got transported to a land of soaring energy that dances across the galaxy. But good guess. ~ If we are going to call Constellation by MP a cross between Mindsphere & Astral Projection. And Jaraluca's fits into the category of Psylent Budhi, Morphic Resonance & Pleaidians, which I agree with completely. Well then i'm going to liken this to a love child between Ra, Jannis & yes, Pleaidians...They get around. I think Celestial Intelligence might have christened the little bastard. I don't know what to say. It's just excellent unexpected stuff. Its exciting and energetic and a whole bunch of other nice words. This will surely be my album of year. This might be the best album of trance i've heard. But Sykespico already knew that, didn't they? Time will tell if this album really is as good as I think it is, but so far 8 listens in nothing has changed other than my favorite tracks. Magic https://suntriprecords.bandcamp.com/album/perspective
  20. Artist: Shakta Title: Retroscape Label: Suntrip Date: November, 2014 1. Somaton - Ouroboros 2. Somaton - Brainwashed (Shakta & Ping Pong Remix) 3. Shakta - It Was Not Human 4. Somaton - Fearful Symmetry 5. Somaton - Principles of Gravity 6. Shakta - Amber Mantra 7. Shakta - Indra's Net 8. Shakta - Cosmic Trigger 9. Shakta - Solar Origins 10. Shakta - Misra Indica 11. Somaton - Dredlarks I mean do I really need to say how brilliant this release is? How the melodies swirl and the 303's growl like a pack of lions? It's powerful goa trance from back in the day from Seb Taylor who is a cornerstone of our favorite genre. Whether it's as Shakta or Somaton it's blistering layered goa trance at an unrelenting pace. Vinyl only, hard to find, or unreleased tracks that will put holes in your wall when you turn it up. This goes right up there with Etnica Live in Athens and Flight 604 Chapter II and the Dimension 5 stuff for me. Absolutely stunning and a must have. Suntrip Psyshop Beatspace Mdk

  22. Some new tracks over at Bandcamp, now all available as free downloads: Denstrow (Bandcamp)
  23. Artist: JIS Title: Illusions of Reality Label: Timewarp Records Date: October, 2013 1. We're The Aliens On The Earth 2. Behind the Lights 3. Aldebaran 4. Blessed Unconsciousness 5. The Illusion of Reality 6. Factorum Spectre 7. Plan B 8. The Journey 9. Mind Therapy 10. Birdie "This is a journey into sound." Blue Planet Corporation. I would swear I was listening to Blue Planet Corporation. THE name in melodic trancey goa finally has a worthy successor. Who the hell knew he was hidden away in Hungary. JIS is Gabor Czellux and this is his debut full length album. Beautiful melodies are the cornerstone of this music that doesn't forget it's still goa trance. We're in a time now where just making melodic goa trance isn't going to set anyone's hair on fire. Past that. What Gabor does is take light and airy melodies and surround them with the signature sounds that scream goa trance. Layers? Check. Shimmering synths and reverb? Oh, yes. Tactile breaks and great production? You. Know. It. This isn't dark or acidic goa trance, but the hyper melodic stuff that reminds you why you liked trance to begin with. Can't be dark all the time...people will begin to shun you. "Look Gary, I like you. You're a nice guy and do good work, but people don't want their accountant to look like the walking dead. Makes 'em nervous." The opener sounds lush and combines all of the things I've mentioned. And he doesn't stop there. Delicious layers cascade over bubbling basses like maple syrup on a short stack. Blessed Unconsciousness is infectious and has a playful bass line that reminds me of Dark Waters by MFG. The Journey you will recall was released on The Call of Goa (*gives hi-five to Nova Fractal) and does everything right. If there was one complaint you could possibly raise it would be that it's an album composed of very similar tracks, but I was dancing so much that I didn't care. When I found out BPC was his favorite artist it made perfect sense. Gabor deftly navigates the sometimes blurred lines (I know you want me) between melodic and goa trance (I know you want me). Just like the artist he draws inspiration from. This is light and airy melodic goa trance that is quite vivid and well produced. One could even say gentle at times. None of the tracks are going to overpower you. Dark and acidic goa stormers won't be found here either. It's not that kind of party. But if you're a fan of melody and layers then this is for you. It's a digital relase, but shoot him an email and he might have a physical copy left for you. Beatport Mdk
