It's a good track, although honestly I do like the original more. 7/10.

I have what I reckon a solid dark goa track ready. The problem is my friend's laptop refused to render it after I'd included over 100 patterns and couple dozen automation clips in it...

The whole "Lets Turn On" is a masterpiece, it's hard to say a favourite.

You named them all... all except

I'm glad for producers like you, and also enjoy old school a whole lot more than the new stuff. I'll keep to my word still. The good thing is I find you technically quite competent artist, so it's not the know how rather the know what that needs some improvement.

The track's not bad but a tad repetitive at places. I'd add a little twist here and there.

dark acid goa with analog gear...

ID1 although indeed psychedelic, sounds a bit more on the acid techno edge and I'm doubtful if you'd have success finding it on any goa release. ID2 & ID3 are both familiar but the names escape me for now. All I can tell that both, what I recall, are originally quite a bit slower. Nevertheless I'm somewhat optimistic people here are able to help you out on these two.

I've never replied to this topic before but I couldn't help myself... lol! seriouzzz

Very much true. It's hard to define "goambient" in the first place thou. I'm gonna skip the rules and actually post VAs here: http://www.discogs.com/Various-Goa-Trancendental-A-Psychedelic-Sojourn/release/315132 http://www.discogs.com/Various-Goa-Trancendental-2-Psychedelic-Soundscapes/release/144494 and artist albums: http://www.discogs.com/Astralasia-Pitched-Up-At-The-Edge-Of-Reality/release/103299 http://www.discogs.com/Children-Of-The-Bong-Sirius-Sounds/release/146622

One DJ who's close to him said he indeed has stopped making goa and started producing hip hop. Nevertheless, not too long ago I received a remix of Induced Experience that's said to be relatively new production. And I agree he's an artist with a distinct sound - there's never too many of those. I also hope he makes a comeback.

Indeed a good listen! Old school spiced psy with very nice mastering. 'Hope From the Green' is my pick here, great melody in it that's already playing in my head without asking!

Hi fellow pie ranch farmers! I'm part of a group organising a goa party here in Funland next saturday so we thought it wouldn't such a bad idea to make a sort of promotional mix. I spent about 2 minutes decising the tracks and the end results are not always so smooth lol. Yes, a couple mixes here are I could live without, but maybe you'd like to have a listen anyway? The mix is 69 minutes long and I know we all like 69.... http://soundcloud.com/ridge-m-tt-kiuas/dj-ridge-m-tt-kiuas-23-8-12 tracklist: 1. Etnica - Mystical Appearance In Goa 2. Akasha - Ace of Wands 3. Hallucinogen - LSD (live mix) 4. Miranda - Green Man 5. Yahel - Intelligent Life 6. Eat Static - Bony Incus 7. Crop Circles - Antonomasia 8. Hux Flux - Logarhythmic 9. Technossomy - VTOL

Radi I like your track - the old school spirit is defo there. It's not the most complex tune ever I admit, but has strong resemblance to the floaty type of mid-90s regular trance. I can hear you've really tried to make a listenable tune here, and on that basis yes it's sometimes frustrating only to hear "constructive criticism" of a tune you personally enjoy and would like others to enjoy as well, no? I for one welcome this really old school sounding vibe you're trying to recreate, I don't recall other goa artists having your approach so dude, go on and continue on this path. ps. I like your keychanges in the bassline lol!

My personal view: this track is too fast! 158bpm. The fastest goa tracks to sound good and not become silly hardtrance goofers are around 154-155. If I pitch down SB a notch (~3-4%), the song definitely upgrades in quality. The climax of SB is actually one of the special Etnica moments for me. Why not on cd? Hard to say... I personally think it doesn't fit on AP at all. Yes, I'd also place it on JAUTBL.

I kinda agree with the general consensus here. The album is not bad, but lacks that something to make it essential. There are a couple stronger tracks on the album but little bit of filler too. To put it short - I'd advise a good listen before buying.

DAT isn't the only one releasing unreleased 90's stuff!

That's all the buying for the next few months. I really recommend Toi Doi there are couple ace tracks on the album, even though it's not a masterpiece overall.

y0! A bunch of cds found their way on my list. Some seriously nice older suomisaundi on the menu for example... have a look.

Yeah, there was bad luck with the pressing and 'Katso Kukkaa' album at least suffers a lot. Let's see if Kim makes another batch.
