Cronomi Records takes the crown easy. Erta Ale is a brilliant compilation and the new M-Run album matches my taste perfectly, guess I could stretch my opinion to say it's an instant classic.

Hi guys! I've searched on google and youtube with little luck to this problem. Basically, I've got one track of my own and a collaboration track with a friend about ready. I'm a huge fan of details and both tracks have grown to have over 100 patterns and couple dozen automation patterns. At this stage the tracks don't play on FL anymore and the chances to make them into mp3/wav are zero. It always gets stuck on the rendering stage. Should I get more memory on my friend's laptop or what would you advice? Really looking forward to hearing a tip or two... -Ridge

Dude. D-u-d-e. This is what I consider the epitome of dark goa. You posted one of my all time fav'e tracks, one that I also played on an island party here in Helsinki this summer. And I'm telling you this track still delivers, big time. Too bad it's kinda one hit wonder as Satori was otherwise a bit so-so in quality. 9/10 (there's a small part in the quite beginning of the track that doesn't fit...) Just found this track by Miranda and consider playing it in my next set.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4gwmSPvw5I

Orion, a project I used to adore but over time have come to the conclusion that he's good but not brilliant. Not in the same category as Koxbox, Snake Thing (Shango), Sandman (End of the World) and some other when it comes to darker twisted old school. I'll give this 6.5/10.

From 93 to 00 there were more than enough to choose from. For me years 2001-2007 were quite bland for psytrance and I spent actually some time thinking proper candidates. But here we go...

Maybe I'm alone but I think this is not good at all. It's on the verge of euro-trance and the melodies sound simple, there's little emotional value to them. The psychedelic fx factor is always kept to minimum, almost to the point I feel these are hurried tracks or some sort of sketches.

10/10. (; One of the best tracks ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtBdui8NEhI Sorry I couldn't resist...

!! top tune !! One of the most striking examples of forest goa. The remix is even better, but without further bs I'll give this one 9/10.

Yes yes. Sounds like Portamento uses real 303 in his works, but I'm not all goosebumps. He is a skillful producer enough to make a professional track, but on his album there were no tracks that made me bleed insanity. It's psychedelic, but just barely. There's not enough layers and motives to really captivate me or wanna have the experience of listening to his tracks again. His music seems to always miss that final touch. I give this one 6/10. http://www.mikseri.net/artists/phaz/wylli-landzcape/238881/

I'm getting tired of Filteria... the tracks are always so samey, in yer face without much substance. Essentially it's good sound texture, but he's only ever done a handful of tracks where the melodies are stunning and captivating. This is an example of mish mash of notes and it gives me slight headache. 6/10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqivpTvX5Gs

Not a progressive fan... it's not a bad track, could listen to it in the background. 6/10
-
Really good track! It's hard to pinpoint what's particularly good about this - it's not too characteristic yet everything in Stardiver sounds just right. I give it 9/10.
-
wot the track was by synchro.... This track is classic Darshan. Acidic, dark and fast. Good use of hats. Melodically one of their best. 8,5/10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Upj65EyWBDc

S.U.N Project. (NOT the guitar-rock style shit but the GOA shit)

Space Dwarfs! That's one sick tune. Other than that they're quite a miss for me.... (I have macrophage cd fs/ft if someone's interested ;] ) -
It's a good track, although honestly I do like the original more. 7/10.

I have what I reckon a solid dark goa track ready. The problem is my friend's laptop refused to render it after I'd included over 100 patterns and couple dozen automation clips in it...

The whole "Lets Turn On" is a masterpiece, it's hard to say a favourite.

You named them all... all except

I'm glad for producers like you, and also enjoy old school a whole lot more than the new stuff. I'll keep to my word still. The good thing is I find you technically quite competent artist, so it's not the know how rather the know what that needs some improvement.
