  1. why should it be a problem? we want reviews, this is the goal i'll go for the spiral trax comp. i like it btw, nice melodic psy
  2. welcome Shpongley, you have the freedom of choice and the others? com'on guys, i know that a lot of you heard sth from the list so getup yo lazy asses
  3. Vir Mortalis from Krama is awesome! i love the energy in the middle if you haven't checked the latest Beat Bizarre, do it! especially the last hour goes deep but groovy, has catchy and mystic vibes. goodfeelintrance more on the dramatic-melancholic side and a classic in my book and same but different, sometimes chaotic and screechy but one o the best
  4. this is it. the conquest. the healing of the review death. be part of a competition about words, about myths and about inspiration. fight against the commerce, the standard, the comfort, and prevent the death of our culture. revive the mission to explore psychedelic trance music, break your limits and share your thoughts. find your innerself and speak to him, or her, and tell us what u've found. but: there is the guide! the MUSIC. take your weekly dose and listen... this is for the reviews. the rules. if you don't have an account here on psynews, follow the site's instructions to create one. you can't participate without. choose ONE of the following titles. if someone chose the same before take another one. ace ventura paradise engineering (iboga) aegolius moments of wonder (medulla oblongata) arjuna primal contact (parvati) eat static - dead planet (mesmobeat) psychowave - dancefloor metadata (boom!) psykovsky ksointsu (self) spacey koala twistedelik funky activating grooves (kinematic) va forest thunder (bhooteshwara) va internationalism vol.3 (spiral trax) va krafted friends (organic alchemy) va the brave and the bold (osom) u-recken - flames of equilibrium (dacru) yeah, you're right, no goa inside. you won't find here. everything about goatrance is already written. take a browse through the review sections. now, listen at least once a week to the complete album/compilation. it's recommended to listen even more, it will help you to structure your feelings toward the music. if you don't like what you hear it's recommended to listen alot more. sometimes you have to listen sth very very often to appreciate. people call this a grower. if you want to quit, quit. and tell us. someone else will take your album. btw, you don't have to support the artists and buy their music. you will find every track either on bandcamp, youtube, stuff like that. but, and this is a gentleman's agreement here, depending on how much you like your chosen title, you promise to buy the album afterwards. then, in 3 weeks, it's review time! suddenly, the threads will appear. in the review section. your album. everything will be ready. title, artist, album, cover, tracklists. but without an opinion. this is your mission. you have one week to post your review, somehow according to the forum's rules. if you want to piss on sth, do it. it's your right. it's your review. if you want to spread some love or laughter, do it. it's your words. when you liked what you've experienced, take the next free title from the list and repeat the procedure. if your words won't appear, it is written in stone that you failed becoming an allright soldier of the psy. and shame will fall upon u... if we manage to complete the list the next six weeks, we will count. everyone gets one point for every review he or she has written. then, we can enter round 2... don't be shy, be honest, be curious, be brave, be a soldier... a soldier against the review's death.
  5. we had a great monday evening here, a relaxed start into working phase with a great sunny downing evening rumsipping smoking dicing laughing... and Beat Bizarre's 3 hour ride through mellow easylistening proghousepsy. the tracks are allowed to progress, smoothly gently drifting forward, beats and pads are vibrant but never egoistic, atmospheres can breath and grow and the melodies are touching soft. i didn't really care for standouts or the next progressive hymn but this was a perfect partner for a easygoing. i liked the later tracks better but in the end i do not care. when i will listen to this music again i'll play the whole shit!
  6. using newest firefox i interrupted the review writing for a ciggy, had another psynews site opened. well, sites were here, i continued writing and once i wanted to post... so beware, smoking kills ur reviews
  7. big wizzy fan here, and this is the typical driving wizzylectrotrance - till now i'm not bored of this style 8/10 next: SubConsciousMind - Unpredictalizer
  8. well yeah, bad luck in this case your review standards may be counterproductive sometimes so once again, think about starting simple, you may always edit if you feel like
  9. is this true? i wrote a review and after 'posting' i was told 'no permission, you're logged out' ?? wtf, there's some cache where i can find it?
  10. Ooooooh yeah, i really really like this also veryvery much, heard it alot years ago now, skipping back again and i am completely not bored of it i heard and roomdanced the shit out of 'Unpredictalizer' and still this is a fuckin good track with an incredibly nice tensiongrowing buildup through the whole track orgasming around the 7th minute
  11. this is a great grower needed multiple listens to enjoy alot of the tracks, but what sounded like unimaginative boring minimal repetitive material will enfold a great percussive world inside various genres, rhythms, emotions combined with some serious musicians you can be sure to have enough variation through the double album the labels packages me likey also really much btw...
  12. i think alot of discussion takes place in the promo section with comments like 'this is the shit' 'killer track' and so on... like in alot of the older review threads. nothing wrong with it per se, but i find it sad to see a diverse discussion going on about the AliemJams album in the promo section and since now theres no review. someone missed the point there when to change the topic (promotional, prerelease-enthusiasm -> serious thoughts and feelings about the music) people should never think and feel that their words have no value for a music discussion, even if its only a first short post. you can always edit the rest later or someone else adds missing information or whatever...
  13. UPTEMPO 1. Eat Static - Dead Planet (Mesmobeat) 2. Terrafractyl - Imaginings and Fabrications (Kinematic Records) 3. Beat Bizarre - Maunder Minimum (Iboga Records) 4. VA - The Dark Side of Dawn (Blue Hour Sounds) 5. Hutti Heita - Hutti Heita (Yggdrasil Records) 6. VA - Internationalism Vol.3 (Spiral Trax Records) 7. Lunar Dawn - Kolovrat (Neogoa Records) 8. Psychowave - Dancefloor Metadata (BooM! Records) 9. System7 - X-Port (A-Wave Records) 10. Skizologic - Robotized (Zion604 Records) DOWNTEMPO 1. Master Margherita - Afro Dots (Blue Hour Sounds) 2. Kalumet - Jungle Juice (Impulse Audio Records) 3. VA - Chillheadz (Trimurti & Purple Hexagon Records) 4. VA - Dakini Mother Tongue (Lquid Sound Design) 5. Eat Static - Human Upgrade (Mesmobeat) 6. Mirror System - N-Port (A-Wave Records) i found 2015 a rather weak year. leaving DAT aside i think there won't be much to remember in the future. some really great albums for sure, several disappointments also (Skizologic, Mirror System/System7...) the downtempo section itself is a disappointment too, can't believe that so many people never listen to relaxed electronic music. i think in terms of variety and musical aspiration that the downtempo stuff has alot more to offer than the standard fullon-psychedelic-goa-blaff. even if there wasn't much downtempo music that grabbed my attention last year, the few are almost all equally good with great variations in tempo and style
  14. UP 1. Cybered - Acid Box (Horns & Hoofs Entertainment) 2. PsySex - Mind Penetration (Hadra Records) 3. Hypnagog - Thematic Mathematics (Kinematic Records) 4. Deviant Electronics - Green Room (Zion604 Records) 5. Android Spirit - Synthetic Organism (Timecode Records) 6. Maiia303 - Sky in Diamonds (Ovnimoon Records) 7. VA - Blue Sangoma Sounds (Blue Hour Sounds/Sangoma Records) 8. Skizologic - Adrenochrome (BMSS Records) 9. Son Kite - Prisma (Iboga Records) 10. VA - Moon Ritual (Amakusa Records) DOWN 1. Ajja & Cosmosis - The Alien Jams (Peak Records) 2. Kaminanda - Liminal Spaces (Merkaba Music) 3. Krusseldorf - Fractal World (Self-released) 4. Sephira - Monkey Tales (BMSS Records) 5. Gus Till - Ghosts of the Earth (Interchill Records) 6. Soulacybin - Gratitude (Merkaba Music) 7. Dr. Trippy - Invasion by Osmosis (Disco Gecko Recordings) 8. 15. another one: "Free Fluoro" (tracklist will follow) is a f**ckin strong contender for Psybomb Of The Year!! everything whats psy condensed in one long floorfilling track. pure fun!!!
  16. Galactivation's EP is called something like Open the stargate or such. good one though. have a listen to his track on the Sumeria comp. i found it's his best track so far, 13 mins of varied pumping fullon
  17. i'm not that much into newschool-oldschool or oldschool-newschool (???!??) but could Ra - 9th considered to be/become a classic? personally i LOVE this album
  18. sad to hear, but we all have to reach this point one day... btw, you won't sell shiva space kumharas, do u?
  19. imaginative track of an imaginative album, right? industrial sounds for wrecked up people. i like the atmosphere, it's intriguing, haunting, psyberfictional. still, not a monster of a track. perfect for the flow, as a standalone just good - 6/10 reminds me this
  20. wait, i posted once the worst i know... aah, here it is >>>
  21. absolutely completely agree with the above. so mucho kudos DAT, i adore that move. i hate moneygrubbers. the ACDC concert in summer in my hometown was sold out fuckin fast. with a third of the tickets available through ebay within a week, ridiculous prices. fuckers! kudos DAT, i like that move, make it available, affordable. not every release needs this (far from it). but Mind Rewind for sure...
  22. in case u missed new Sorrowmurk material... sounds good, huh?
  23. nice words Bill, ur good writing !! the music: i like it, though i spinned it only sparsely. will change soon...
  24. what about a ranking system where it's up to u if you rank or not. if you won't, post your ten favourites and everyone gets 5 points. the total of points would remain almost the same (50 vs 55) personally i would appreciate that since its really hard for me to rank my favourites. what seems better one day, just doesn't fit the other time or moment. i always feel like ranking emotions which is ridiculous. sure there are releases i spin more often than others, but that doesn't mean that my apprecations for them are bigger. so, it's up to you how many points u wanna give, either like before, or 5 for each. i think it's pretty fair, it also would cause some more attention to poorer ranked titles
