  2. STAND THE TEST OF TIME !!! Post your top ten from 2012 (uptempo/downtempo, the first gets 10 points, second 9 points and so on). If you won't rank your titles, everyone mentioned gets 5 points. You can edit your vote as much as you want to, but make it clearly visible through quoting or linking. I will count the votes from time to time and show the results in this first post. Agreed? Let's see how/if the poll results change with time.
  3. hey, thanks for the hint, tbh i never paid much attention to the sample, it makes much more sense now. but still
  4. a beauty, relaxed and melancholic 6 or 7/10
  5. Wizzy Noise! Rinkadink? Logic Bomb, Koxbox, Kluster...
  6. quite nice old-schooler, but the simple melodie doesn't catch my attention 4/10 won't you come up with some newer shit? there's also plenty http://arkona-creation.bandcamp.com/track/anix-gleo-deep-sky
  7. with a first listen i hardly find the similarity you're talking about. to me these tracks transport different atmospheres which makes it hard to compare. that said, i really like both, with a small plus for Solar Fields for his smooth tranciness. quite hard to find similar tracks from different genres - like the game is somehow meant to be, correct me if i'm wrong - and i can't remember anything at the moment, but to get this game going i'll start with an easy one: The Delta - As a child i could walk on the ceiling http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYsm1Xt7zUs X-Noize - Anjuna beach i always found it strange that X-Noize's inspiration to this track wasn't mentioned anywhere. even more so cause it's quite samey - or let's say a nearly complete rip-off. but as a track itself i really enjoy this fullon-child, it has good power beside this amazing lead you know from the original. enough to beat a dark stomping evergreen?
  8. this must be one of the most mind-melting experiences you can achieve - if you survive
  9. this party looks so overkitched but at the same time interesting, like a parody of the whole techno movement - surely nice to see
  10. Rotwang, you're always hard to beat THANKS AGAIN, Manuser
  11. a shame that Nitrox gets so many votes through dissappointed grumpies. genre-wise it's much better than its followers and the ambient part is simply great, i don't know any uptempo album with a better comedown.
  12. my special places: peru +1, bolivia +2 but: don't care too much for the places, countries or whatever the best places where i have been were these where i had the time to connect to people, to share experiences and to get into touch with culture, live and time - no matter the place simply: don`t be in a hurry !! take your time ! breath !
  13. yeah, nostalgia not a long time ago i started to watch one of my favourites... then i thought: wat a waste of time but... nothing beats nostalgia, uh ?? sabre rider and his star sherriffs were the highlight, although i had a strong sympathy with jessie blue another one i stood up early for were the samurai pizza cats, don`t know why but i found em... i loved the name ??!?
  14. @ RTP: so well written words, you nailed my own preception. simply love his unique approach. even my gf, who is not a follower, recognizes his sound. can you tell this of another arist?
  15. thanx again, nice these games, even when i suck most of the time. especially track names are not my case, i remember just track numbers and give a fuck about names. anyway, nice selection for a - let's say more-fullon-game! interesting again to see how wrong you can be though you have it somewhere so, i got a total of 4 points, again at the bottom
  16. the first one or two years i got into psy and goatrance were a fascinating time, like experiencing new music, new people, new parties, new substances. quite a lot altogether, in the beginning i couldn't really "get into" the weird atmospheres especially on dancefloors. i always appreciated the energy and the wtf-attitude, but for my part it took time to really hang-loose there. after maybe two years going to smaller and really big festivals i made the decision to leave things behind and to start to travel with a buddy. there was this small festival near my hometown where me and my friends wanted to do some kind of a goodbye party, and it was this party where i found myself dancing in the dancefloor, feeling what everyone was feeling, loosing control over my thougths and my body. that feeling came so suddenly and was so overwhelming that i started to cry with huge smiles. that was - after years of going to parties and connecting to the scene - the moment where i really felt that i arrived at my place. funny sidenote: the last track there was cosma's the time has come (R.I.P), shortly after the release, and it fitted so perfectly to my situation - leaving my hometown and at the same time finding a new home
  17. someone knows Akanoid - Best Off ?? this one's a true gem in my and some of my friends' book. i think it's rather unpopular here. that album is one of those which i would recommend to alot of people who are not into psytrance or even so, but to be honest i'm pretty sure that most people here would not like it. anyway, if you dig earlier german psyprog with a technoish feel, try it and give feedback
  18. Shiva Chandra is one of those few artists with a special sound. you recognize his tracks under a million. not everything is gold but i always enjoyed specific tracks in every album, with Positive being the definite highlight. Cristal Splitter and Essence are the tracks which got me into his music and i still love em!
  19. me suck too, but as i expected it from a game about the years 03/04, that's really too narrow. thanks anyway, always fun to hear through !!
  20. hi d.leerium, thanks for your skeptic insights, i think you came in touch with one of the bigger worries, which alot of the goatrancers suffer from. the tendency to see things only through the eyes of a goatrance-maniac. goa-parties, like the name suggest, have to be parties where goatrance is the main music. well, it's not like that - at least not in germany and i think that's also the case in most other european countries. from the beginning, goa parties have been places where alot more was going on. it had much more to do with - let's talk in terms of stereotypes: hippie-culture, counter-culture, escapism - than only playing goamusic. but what had been transformed into many different trance-genres after a while, also transformed the parties. that said, it means that you can't find parties which capture the goafeeling in the 90's anymore, but parties which live from the stigmatic term goatrance and try or try not to revive certain aspects of the so-called golden era. may it be in terms of organisation, location, decoration or music or lots of other things. there are multiple "families" or friendly societies who gather their friends more or less regularly outside of the club scene, to have a good time and to share their view of a goaparty. that differs of course alot. if you live in northern germany, it shouldn't be a problem for you to visit some of the bigger branches of the goaparty-tree. years of experience in organising big events with all the conveniences you can have (except hot showers), the biggest sound systems, the most popular names, the freakiest decorations and thousands of people having and selling a good time. have a look here and here. of course, the biggest parties doesn't mean the best, but as a starting point to see what goatrance or goaparties had become in the last two decades it will be very insightful. also as a starting point to gather the freaks you want to. but as you said, mainstream tendencies corrupt the events, and as evolutions always carry both side of the things, you will see what makes you really spitting, but maybe even more because you have a stereotyped picture of "the" party.
  21. not similar, but you might like liquid space. listen to track 8 from his album for an impression
  22. what a beautiful track, thank you sir! i love this deepness. for sure at the top of the psychedelic / dreamtrance hybrids. @radi: hey mr. know-it-all, don't you think you forgot something?
  23. way too predictable from every point of view. maybe a classic under dream trancers but i can't like it. sorry 3/10
