Wow! Thanks for the first hand perspective. One thing that I have never understood, I just cannot get it through my head, and maybe it'd because I am not American, and from where I'm from, anyone that's "into" politics is a big loser that cannot get a girl to sit in the same room as him, and if a girl is into politics, she's a big loser who can't get a girl to sit in the same room as her So while it amazes me that Americans can be so into politicians that they go to rallies, and make their favourite political "star" a big part of their personality like a tween girl and her favourite boy band, I still cannot understand how people feel this way about Donald Trump, who has the charisma of a tax audit, a room temperature IQ (not fahrenheit) and hair that looks like pubes. Even if he's a big old racist that agrees with all the things your big old racists think, wouldn't they be more ashamed to be associated with such a human toilet brush? I've recently been reading about his trade deals, all these deals with short term benefits to the USA...him and his cronies I bet, feel like they're just going to push your trading partners away long term. Even when he's replaced long term, other countries aren't going to trust that 4 years later that replacement won't be replaced with Trump 2.0 For a while, other countries are going to suffer through this, but they'll open up more trade with India, China and African countries and the USA will become a minor world player, with a shit tonne of nukes, now there's a scary thought. What happens when the country is washed up and relying on foreign aid AND has all these nukes. War war war. I'm sure someone has written a book about this. Anyway back to books. The Bone Clocks that I am reading, the last chapter was pretty good because it involved who the story revolves around, Holly Sykes. The book started really well, as it focuses on her as a 16 year old. I was invested and read quite quickly. Then it moved to some story about someone really uninteresting and in the last part of his story he met Holly, then it was about her partner who was a war journalist and was not that interesting, now it's about another novelist who's life is intersecting with hers. It's just that all these people's stories are so boring, but hers sound interesting and I just want to get to that. Maybe I'm impatient, maybe David Mitchell just isn't a great writer.

I feel that a lot of the old acts that we loved back in the day, started making music that was more commercial and less to the tastes of us fuddy duddies, but recently a lot are pivoting back as the people they made the pop sound for are no longer interested, and they know that we are all stubborn and will be the ones paying to hear the old sounds 😁

When people say things like a movie remake has ruined the original or a change in music style has ruined an artist. Do they not understand that the originals are still there and unchanged? If the next AP album isn't too my liking, I can still listen to the old ones that I do like (not did, do)

I love grimdark fantasy and sci-fi How is everything over there for the normal folks? All I get to hear about sounds like hyperbole and I come away thinking it can't really be that bad, can it? Can it?

That sounds really interesting, I want to check her out. I'll put them on my reading list (although that's really long right now 🫠

This is still a great album, very Solar Fields, mature resounding but resonates nicely when you let it unfold.

A lot of Solar Fields music has aged very well. I love all of his output except for the recent Origin releases that never grabbed me. This though, this gets listened to still, 15 years late

No one else into the cheese fest that is Reverse Universe? I've seen some cheesy psy being pedalled recently, so maybe check this out too!

I listened to this today, it is still amazing, every track plays in to a huge album. I always think that it's ended, then the ambient track comes on to round of the experience in style. Is there a moon in your window? Is Madness laughing? Is Madness laughing?

We've been having tsunami warnings here. I live fairly close to he coast, and the earthquake off Russia has definitely made a lot of potential problems, but luckily I Iive far enough inland that it's unlikely to be a problem. However, the last 2 days the trains have been delayed for hours and hours because of this and it's taken me ages to get to and from work. Very tired

Did this ever happen? If it did I totally missed it because I would totally be paying money to hear this

I have never heard this release, but I have listened to Easily Embarrassed - Tales Of the Coin Spinner hundreds of times, but I have always had it in my mind that it was an alias of some other artist I am now drawing a total blank on. Their Bandcamp page shows that I am just completely wrong, but am I? Were these guys part of another downtempo group?

For some reason I do not have any of these virtual releases on my DAP I just searched of Ishq and all it brought up was compilation tracks. What is wrong with me? Why have I forsaken Matt Hillier? I doubt it's because he charges like $100 for his new releases, even on digital formats, because I would still love to listen to the stuff I bought when I was into buying CDs

Was there ever any Stillness Vol 2,3 or 4? Seeing as no one commented on this in 16 years, I guess no one else is bothered Gus Till has a lot of stuff on Bandcamp in a similar vein and a lot is "name your price" Check it out

This is one of those albums that randomly come on and I'm like "wow this is great, what is it?" Then I check and am like "Of course, this is amazing" but for some reason never choose to actively listen to. It's weird because it is very good, I am not sure why I always skip past it when searching what to listen to.

Slinky Wizard - Licence to Slink 😎

This is a very nice mellow prog trance album. One of the best and most endearing. One I still listen to most springs and early summer days. It is lush and nice and maybe got lost in the acidic synth realm it tired to flower under. Give it another try, you will probably like it.

So many good tracks on this album. Really good for an accessible, night time album.

I am sure that this amazing release got more love than "one single comment" We must have missed all the love with a system update that erased everything, right?

Still an amazing dark ambient album. Definitely worth a listen along with the equally amazing Derelict World

Gus Till is a pillar of the Goa Trance community I cannot believe than in all these years, this has so few comments. Did people just not know about this amazing release and its follow up?

This is my go to album every time I go to see the Jellyfish room at the Enoshima aquarium. It is just perfect aquatic ambient that definitely deserves more attention than it's got.
