I love the Manifold track, trk 8, nice and heavy but still daytime music. The vocals dont really sit right at first but after a few listens I can dig it! Sometimes it seems that people confuse vocal samples, cut and rearranged, with actual vocals, singing over the music. Id give the compo an 8.2/10.

I can listen to whatever, though I have to say that some of that Finnish stuff is pretty bizarre. Sometimes I cant help but think, this stuff sounds like insane disco. I like a lot of what Ive heard but some is pretty out there... anything I can dance to that doesnt bore me is good IMO. (I once left the dancefloor when "cities of the future" was played, just really boring and cheesy to me at that moment... that damn singing...)

Ive been wondering for a long time what else is out there that can make the same vowel sounds the Delay Lama does. I remember I found one vsti that was similar but inferior. What Im really curious about is whether or not there are any hardware synths designed to make that vowel modulation.

Ive felt my interest slipping before, sometimes it seems to fluctuate between, Damn I just cant get enough of this, to, Damn I cant believe this is what Ive done with my life... I just give it some time off, try not to force it. THough I have pretty broad taste. Usually when I listen to one style too much I get tired of it, though I still havent had that experience with downtempo or progressive. I do like fullon (*dodges rotten fruit*, by that I mean darkpsy and SA style), but only the good stuff, and I know that I know what I like. But its much easier to get tired of darkpsy and SA stuff than prog. I imagine oldschool to be similar. For me its much easier to just sit back and listen to a progressive album, wheras with darkpsy I always feel the urge to change the disc every song...

we can build a spaceship and fill it with all the trancers, artists, and djs of the world, then leave Earth and find "another happy place", then we can have every artist play a huge months-long party. I guess we'd have to take chemists and farmers as well... Then you can have your wish!

Ive been eager for more recorded Fractal Cowboys since I saw them back in June. A split album with Many Faces (arent they Jellyheadz and Dejan? Thats what they're called on Multiple Personalities) is just an added treat! Though I would like to hear more Fractals... Those guys, when I saw them, I couldnt even dance it was so freaky, I was stuck in the tent for their whole 3 hr set! Right after Derango, who was right after Horror Place... Fuckin banger of a party...

New years isnt for another 7 years... In my pants... but seriously. Antix is playing in Seattle, Im considering that one, but LA may have something nice too.

Ive heard it a few times already, its pretty good. My favorite track is the last one, the downtempo, I think. For now, at least. Nice Iboga-style prog. I love it when they can stay prog as hell and still be psychedelic enough. Thats a nice track too, love that compo. (Ctrl Alt Del- Stone Age) Saw the movie which the samples are from, on Sunday afternoon TV. Strange.
