  1. Im looking at psyshop right now and its in stock
  2. I thought the same on the first few listens. Sometimes when I mix songs off this album, I instantly want to change it, or stop mixing for some reason. But after some hard long-drive listening I hear more and more to like about Horror Place. I do think that it may not be Zik's best work but its definitely unique. Where else have you heard Charles Manson in trance? And those basslines that sound kinda cheezy at first but then you have so much fun dancing to them, they're like good b-rate horror movies from the 80s. Horror Place is the Troma of trance!
  3. this is my second recording. Ive been playing around with the cdjs for about 1.5 months, maybe Im not that good, but I know the tracks I picked are! http://music.globalbeatz.net/dj-mix-mp3/8090 the tracklist is on the link Its mostly hard fullpower dark psy you need login info to DL login: vooddoo pass: lefty
  4. great tracks! Love that Hishiryo trk from Freshly Squeezed. The Terminator track was also released on Vertigo's "Overdrive", split album w/ Dejan.
  5. actually the song on mindshare is their third, that I know of, the first is "In MAlo Veritas" on Hammering the Gates of Soul, from Inpsyde. A banger, not so much like their latest stuff, with some distorted metal e-guitar.
  6. well I like Derango, am not a snob, and what Ive heard of Safi Connection I like! So not everyone fits into a box.
  7. all of the above plus suomi. And spytrance, flytrance, hitrance, saitrance, bitrance, kitetrance, phitrance, and that kind of trance you find in the high Floro Mtns of eastern Psygystan.
  8. Im still waiting for the free porn. but for now Ill settle for music.
  9. I remember these tracks! Found on an old psy site back towards the beginning of '04. Sat on the harddrive for a while, then they came out and twisteeeed my head around. I think they still live somewhere in the harddrive...
  10. dont forget Penta! he's definitely got some melodies.
  11. I first heard goa on TV, the video for Prana's Voyager III on MTVs old show AMP. psytrance I first heard at a party around Jan 2000.
  12. so you know, its not really 3/4, more like 6/8. Count it if you like, 6 beats a measture, 8 measures a bar!
  13. rrrghhh.... well if you all could see into my mind youd understand what I mean, which is, if you hate it so bad, why are you spending so much time talking about it? Thats what I mean by waste of energy. Here in the US we have politicians whos sole intent seems to be proving how wrong the other guy is, how much of a hypocrite, etc. It seems like theyre more focused on what the others are doing that what they're supposed to be doing. Its like watching all the other cars on the road without paying any attention to your own. Of course negativity and positivity are matters of perspective. Some ancient cultures believed it was a holy thing to eat the dead, now in our so called modern society we think eating any person is evil. Does that mean it was evil back in ancient times too? Even if the people doing the cannibalism were the kindest, most wonderful people around? I understand how what Im saying can be misinterpreted as being negative to the negativity. Im merely trying to paint a different picture of the situation, from another perspective. Not everyone cares enough about music to go deeper into it, sadly this is nowhere more common than electronic music. Some are just looking for a good time, and if that means Skazi and Eskimo, they dont know any better. Just a good time, which they seem to have. All any of us can do is try and show them more, better music, and to just have fun our own way.
  14. 1.Fractal Cowboys These guys play such a crazy set! Knocked me flat on my back for a good 3 hrs! Their individual stuff is good too, Quasar's style is refreshingly unique. I cant really think of 2 or 3, Ive enjoyed just about every live set Ive ever seen.
  15. real evil- Anything from Devils Mind, particularly Kiriyama, Danse Macabre a lot of evil from Greece these days- Horror Place, Polyphonia, Claw (I guess Cyprus isnt really Greece) The Mistress of Evil never seems too evil to me, a lot of their releases are just plain wacky kooked out trance. Well I guess everyone has their own ideas. Oh I forgot.... MWS!!! VERY evil stuff, check out the first track on Golden Dawn's compo Hate (ignore the hateful name and youll do fine). as has been said, evil is a matter of perspective, you have to believe in good to believe in evil, personally I always think of Emily Dickinson who said, "Nothing is good or bad but thinking makes it so".
  16. thnx 4 the perc samps ! use them all the time!
  17. yeah, pay sites are the way to go. Though, watch out for Mixupload.com, you have to be a registered member to dl from there. Which is a pain in the ass...
  18. My thoughts were simply that if you hate it so much, why spend so much energy on it? I guess its possible to Like to Hate something. Of course criticism is good, constructive or otherwise, but it seems a little fetishitstic to spend so much attention on something that from your perspective is bad. What is good, and what is bad, but whatever we think it is? The CHristians thought the Muslims in Jerusalem were the bad ones, the Muslims thought it was the Christians. They both thought they had God on their side. They bathed the city in blood for GOd, because they thought they were the good ones. Im not trying to alienate anyone. Not trying to defend Eskimo (fuck no, guys a wanker). This is just something to think about.
  19. my intent was not to "bitch about negative feedbacks" or anything, and not once have I mentioned "PLUR", Im just trying to illustrate another perspective. Theres no reason anyone should not be allowed to voice their opinions. I do wonder sometimes how much of this is someones own opinions, and how much is "what the cool crowd likes". So I guess Im stupid for trying to see from different angles than all the crowd. Thats fine, thats an opinion, please voice it all you like! Im not even saying anything about my own opinion. Which is that Eskimo and fullon like that is a major block of shit. Really what Im saying is those people are having fun. Is that a bad thing? Maybe some day they'll see how shallow their lives are and how much harm they do by supporting cheesy commercial music. DOnt forget they may not be stupid, they could just be ignorant! If it makes you angry to see people enjoying crap, maybe you should look the other way. Maybe if you dont look at it it wont make you angry! Unless of course your goal is to get angry. Which is fine, I guess, have fun being angry if thats what you like to do.
  20. V/A-Sanatonic Audio-Sanaton Records http://www.sanatonrecords.com/ Tool-10,000 Days http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EULJL...6961427?ie=UTF8 and a pile of stuff from Psyshop.
  21. How about next time anyone has something bad to say about an artist, dj, or style, they just DONT SAY ANYTHING!! Isnt it a bit odd to see someone writing an extensive critique about how BAD someone is? Isnt it a bit odd, if you hate it so much, why even bother saying anything? It shows that you have at least a little interest in it, if you take the time to tell everyone how bad you thought it was. Everyone has their opinion, and one persons masterpiece is another's pile of shit. THats the way it always has been, the way it always will be. You cant really dictate to someone the "rules of liking music". Everyone has different ears, maybe they hear something to like that you cant hear. Is that bad? Does that make them any stupider than you? For example, there are people out there that like, and support, and buy, and even dj happy hardcore. To me happycore is the absolute worst style of music ever created with electronic devices. But that doesnt seem to stop those who like it! And get this, they're actually HAVING FUN!! Imagine that. GOing to a party to HAVE FUN!!
  22. well, maybe he's trying to say, whats going on onstage doesnt matter, its the music, and the dance, that matters! Thats one way of looking at it. I believe that the music, not how its made or whatnot, is the important thing! Just listen, and dance, its trance, anyway, not a rock show, or a symphony. If the crowd digs it, well they're having fun, who are we to take that away from them? Or judge them, for doing what you all should, no matter whos playing or what style, politics should be left outside the party! If you dont like it, dont go! DOnt listen! Dont bother saying anything negative! Isnt it foolish to be wasting energy on something you claim to despise? Maybe deep down you really like it, and are ashamed because you have this image in your head, that if your cool you dont like that kind of thing. Maybe next party you can try and keep your ideas at home, and go with an open mind, ready to accept whatever will come your way??? Look at all those people going crazy for Eskimo. They dont let the fact that its cheesy fullon get in the way of their fun!
  23. apocalyptic death trance! A lot of this kind of trance is coming from Sweden these days! And I love it! You can have your opinions, and I'll have mine thank you!
  24. at times, it seems to me that those in other countries, especially Europe, know more about whats going on in my country than many Americans. Theres so many here who are willing to just "go along with it all" so they dont have to give up convenience, giant cars, cheap gas, disposable everything, and most of all their comfort, taken at the cost of others' comfort. Freedom, at the cost of others'. And so many Americans just turn their heads, turn on the TV, and turn off their minds. Its good that people are exposing themselves and others to the truth of whats going on, it may not be pleasant, but it should be known. The samples are the voices of, I believe, Jello Biafra, former singer of the Dead Kennedys, Noam Chomsky, author, Mumia Abu Jamal, an outspoken former Black Panther wrongly accused of murdering a cop and now on Death Row in Pennsylvania, and others I dont know. Its great that the world is hearing this message, that America, as a country, not a people, does not care much for human rights so long as there's money in it! And anyone who actually takes the time to look around this nation will agree that its true!
