collecting for he sake of having all releases of a label is a silly idea imho. I only buy cd's if they are good. Regardless what label or if it helps me having the entire collection of that label.

the downloading isnt the problem indeed.. its the not buying albums anymore.. I dont feel even a little bit bad about downloading simply because i have been giving more to the music scene than ever (ie buying cd's, downloading from beatport, inviting artists to play, releasing music, etc). Downloading is as nemo said a (good!) substitute for being in the recordstore for 4 hours..

that doesnt sound like alot to spend on a system.. maybe check out some second hand gear. I think its usually better to spend some money on good equipment than on the cheapest stuff.. Maybe go for good amp and limiter and get the rest later.

eat static has some good tracks.. but most of the others i didnt enjoy but they arent horrible either... the 'new' cheese in fullon is 10000x worse imHo.

you simply dont know if you are going to buy that many cds in one go. If you are worried about it why buy that many cds at once? Just buy the ones you like and that will fit in the style you want to mix. You can 'try before you buy' and check the bpms of the tracks you like in tractor for example. Dont worry to much about the keys for now. Start slowly and you ll figure it out. If you are insisting on buying alot. Go saikosounds.com and try to make a deal for such a big chunk of music.

little boring indeed. Most tracks would be alot better if they had some more things going on. cover is pretty nice. precipitation & control yourself will do a good job indeed on the dancefloor. The others lack interested and slipping human is not worth listening to. overal average album that would have been better if they had worked on it for another year imho to add interest.

basically starting a topic about midi controllers here.. I want to buy a new one. One i will only be using for turning some knobs and playing some melodies into the sequencer. So no extra features needed for the moment. How about he oxygen 8 by m-audio? Any thoughts on it? I have had lots of problems with drivers by m-audio before. Any known issues with this one? To add some interest to the topic: maybe you can write down your thoughts on your (new and old) controllers. Good and bad. On the net you can usually find plenty of problems people have with equipement. Therefor it might be nice to extend it to a topic that talks about the good things of your controller as well.
