  1. actually.. its good. most bands die out after a while. They cant make any good material anymore but they try for 3 albums... Eat static stops at a point where they have made shitloads of good material and nothing bad. They stop at a point where everything is between good and excellent! Thats one hell of a point to drop off... Best exit ever.
  2. yes its sad shopping for psychedelic stuff in Amsterdam, a city that breathed psychedelica for a while... Go to conscious dreams kokopelli to relax for a while. you might enjoy it. Skipp the record hunting
  3. old.. there was another thread already.. doenst mean its not sad.. just that you have to read the other topics before posting... :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

  9. hey mike nice colour bass traps you got ; on a more serious note: how did you make em? is it one layer of absorbing material or all the way to the walls?
  10. nice to see you liked the kokopelli release did you see the artwork of the inlays of the cd? some nice art by dadara. check his site at: dadara.nl check our myspace at: /kokopelliconsciousdreams to find some of the artists' myspaces. Siebzehn for example has loads of nice new tracks on his space. there are several topics about chill out releases. Maybe browse some of them. And see if you can find something of interest. make sure you check stuff from ultimae records!
  11. not many.. try fullmoon and moondrop at the nieuwendijk. Or drop me an pm and we could look together in the most interesting shops. Back Beat Records - Egelantierstraat 19 Never been there. dont think its too interesting. Boudisque - Haringpakkerssteeg 10-18 Nice one go check it out but not much psy there.. some chillout though (ultimae for example) Concerto - Utrechtsestraat 60 nice one. Decent second hand section with lots of chill out, triphop, ambient, techno etc. Might be some old psy. A good chance to pick up oldies for 5 euro. Dance Tracks - Nieuwe Nieuwstraat 69 dunno. Distortion - Westerstraat 72 not many cd's and def no psy. might be some electronical stuff but not much. Fat Beats - Singel 10 mostly hiphop. Forever Changes - Bilderdijkstraat 148 dunno Get Records - Utrechtsestraat 105 might be some nice electronic stuff. No psy Groove Connection - St. Nicolaasstraat 41 vinyl only atm afaik Independent Outlet - Vijzelstraat 77 dunno Killa Cuts - Nieuwe Nieuwstraat 19D dunno Midtown - Nieuwendijk 104 might be some nice electronic stuff Outland Records - Zeedijk 22 vinyl only De Plaatboef - Rozengracht 40 some nice electronic stuff second hand Record Palace - Weteringschans 33 dunno Rhythm Import - Nieuwe Nieuw straat ? dunno Rush Hour - Spuistraat 98 vinyl only
  12. what would be the best place to get it? any ideas?
  13. according to an interview in the sound on sound they use just about anything. From old stuff to soft synths. As long as it sounds good...
  14. so... its fullonbass with dali on guitar uh.. vocals?
  15. boudisque can soon be taken off the list.. not enough business.......
  16. groove connection is alot smaller now.. no more place to sit.. there is a few topics already about amsterdam.. search a little. After 6pm there isnt much open unless its thursday when shops are open till 9pm. Drop by at the Kokopelli and visit me for some psychedelic groceries if you want we are open till 10 pm. apart from fullmoon shop at the nieuwendijk there is hardly any psytrance records for sale in amsterdam... we have some chill out but nothing out of the very ordinary. Drop by anyway in the kokopelli for a cuppacoffee if you want =) my list of psynewsers i have met isnt big enough yet for sure
  17. he just released the younger brother album.. It is brilliant! a classic!
  18. excuse my nosyness.. but why do you want to put it on cd? for what purpose? to listen in public transport? to back it up? if you are backing things up i would simply go for dvd's or get an external hd and rip everything to flac. lossless is the only valuable option here imho.
  19. well you can post. as you can see many people did reply and are into it. But you cant expect everybody to like it. I def like posts that think beyond boxes.
  20. whatever.. names.. boxes.. first is dark in my book. and indeed first track is pretty bad. second track is more south african style fullon. check anything from timecode records. you might like it. oops.. didnt fohat just say that... maybe some scorb. Fungus funk etc
  21. lovely concept. Nice tracks. Nice interludes and very nice artwork! And its actually an album. Not just 9 randomly chosen seperate tracks on the same piece of plastic. One to get for sure.
  22. 125-145 bpm
  23. sure its kinda listenable.. but its like hallucinogen making a standard fullon album. Nothing new nothing exciting but yes listenable. But its OTT we are talking about here.. He has shown to be able to look further than sample cds... and now he isnt..
