  1. i though macs were for women, with all there shiny looks and different colours... pc's are for men. just like cars you can take em appart. change the carburator into a 2 gb working horse. etc
  2. haha how can a collection of ... not be a collection it might not be your favourite collection.. but it is a collection.. I thought tRohr said something like wanting to dj with it soI thought it was a good idea to mention it. But i cant seem to find that episode again so i might have been wrong.
  3. hehe you are almost there fluffy!
  4. there live gig on fmf last year was the most super ultra mega specialestest gig i have ever seen. It was remarkably bad. most worstestly bad i have ever seen.
  5. just buy the albums you like. If you want to dj with them. Check out the bpms first to make sure they slightly fit the bpm range you are djing in. buying 125 when you prefer to play stuff around 140 doesnt make much sense But then again its nice to be able to play at every time of the day. For now focus on the stuff you like most. Maybe forget about the whole cd thing. Go digital download! cds will vanish soon anyway.
  6. bass is pretty good. i would definitly take another kick though.. this is a pretty oldschool kick and doesnt fit the track imho. one iwth a little more dry character. Break falls totally dead. keep some rhythm. try to make a 8 or 16 bar loop for your bass. Its a little repetative now. Maybe add some (low)mid sound for a little extra drive. It needs some more channels to stay interesting and you can switch your mind from sound to sound. Maybe change percussion a litle more every now and then. And loose the cheesy synths at about 115 before the end but then again its your track Quality isnt bad at all though. good luck!
  7. this is like saying: blue is what you experience as blue as an individual. It doesnt explain anything anything about blue.
  8. thnx.. sounds good if it could really work.. wonder what the critics will say
  9. both are referred to as monitors indeed. but one is preferably as flat as possible (production) while the other just has to give some idea of what you are doing (djing). They are def not the same (can be but most likely not). sorry to be lazy.. but what new technology is there that makes you not having to look at room accoustics? sounds incredible but impossible to me..
  10. I think you are mixing up speakers with monitors here. Speakers are normal everyday things that create sound (waveforms) from the electrical output of your amplifier. They are made to sound good, whatever that means. It ll be different for rock/ trance or gospel. Some for example will have a boost at 80 herz and a dip at 550 (no idea about these figures.. but they serve as example) monitors on the other hand are meant to have a 'flat' response. Meaning they dont try to boost or cut any frequency but try to give you a good idea of the music comeing from the pc or whatever you are producing on. For djing you dont need monitors but just speakers. Monitors of course are speakers so if you have them laying around they will serve the purpose. But a flat response for djing is not necesarry. The better the speakers the better the sound will be of course. Which for example also means you can turn down the volume a little to stop it from hurting your ears without losing the experience of a good sound. go check out isratrance forum. There is loads of info about monitors/ speakers. Or any other forum about music amplification/ production for that matter. Often the manufactures have a forum on their site as well.
  11. i was thinking exactly the same thing. luckily it has a very refreshing skazi track
  12. haha so you see. only the definition already is subjective.. let alone the interpretation.
  13. good speakers (speakers towards the audience you mean right?) definitly dont make the dj. Good monitors will help (are maybe even necesarry). But you need to have good quality tracks (no 128 kbps fe ), a good mix technique and a good track flow. And good presentation (which i could personally do alot better at ) of course.
  14. But the psychedelic experience is more than that imho. I am also confronted with my mind while tripping. With issues i have in the ordinary world as well as with things outside that ordinary world. Ayahuasca for example could help you get rid of your problem with alcohol as well as show you things about divinity.
  15. could you tell me how to make one?
  16. sounds to me some people here hope to fix the problems they have in their mix with mastering. A good mix only needs a little compression maybe to get the volume to cd level. But then again i didnt read the whole topic and i could be wrong..
  17. than it might be better to ask how to make this bassline. Several ways of making this bassline might have helped you more I dont know exactly what kind of bass you mean. Maybe you could post a snippet of the kind you mean. or show a saikosounds sample.
  18. raja also has some productional performances with the boys from 1200 mics.. that should give him a headstart if i am concerned!
  19. where will they have to be shipped from?
  20. very good answer. psychedelic is very subjective. On the other hand what is meant by psychedelic music is music that isnt just for enjoying. But it is meant to be an aural journey to/ of the mind. Music with loads of sounds that make you hear the journey. And maybe even visualize it through the music. why does it make more sense if its soul? I have had ancient greek in highschool which is some 12 years ago.. but if i recall correctly it also meant mind. But lets ask the greek here.. they might shed some more light on it.

  24. the 2496? i had loads of problems with it. Probably driver/ processor related. For 35 eur's you could give it a try though. Its not bad if you dont have the driver issues..
