  1. If you care how cool or underground a scene is, it says a lot about how you listen to music or maybe even how you judge people around youl. I mean these topics are around since I know you and I wonder if you still haven't found another way to define yourself besides with the fact how underground the music is that you listen to. I mean it's a bit similar to your topic where you bitch about Protoculture because one of his tracks gets played by Armin van Buuren (and later you even make a topic about how nice it his when commercial artists use goa elements in their tracks even when the trackstyle is pretty similar to Protoculture's). I wonder why you have the idea that dubstep (or psytrance) is so different form any other genre. I mean you have commercial and/or crappy releases and you have the top-notch stuff. If you don't care to dig for the pearls because there is some crap around it's your problem. As far as I can tell you are acting exactly the same like the people who only listen to music that is on top of the charts. Only that your criteria for the music is the exact opposite.
  2. I'm listening to your mix right now and I have to say it's really great. For me old-school israely psytrance would be stuff like Yahel in his Waves Of Sound Phase but still, the musig is great. Very melodic but also quite pushing. Keep up the great work, it's a pleasure to listen to your mix! :-)
  3. Haven't heard of neptunwave.de, must check it out. I'm forced to buy less music than I used to. Sucks but no money but not beeing able to take any money out of my bankaccount two week before the next salary arrives is even worse...
  4. Hard to say who I would be without psytrance. I've never really been normal anyway thanks to my hippie parents. I'm also not really in the scene. I listen to other music and most people I know are not psyheads either. I don't go to psytrance parties only and I also listen to other music. I still think the pie-thing had a big impact on my life. Besides the fact that my psycollection is emptying up an empty spot in me also the mind altering effect of the music, the scene and some drugs did me good. It's like some kind of second world that I can enter and forget about the boring everyday life. I couldn't name thing that gives me the same sensation so I think my life would for sure be more boring.
  5. I´m listening to the New Order 2 compilation, just took it out my mailbox. The Ticon track is awesome and I am very curious about the Lish track.
  6. I got two new vinyls by Sebastien Leger: Talisman/Bamboo http://www.discogs.com/S%C3%A9bastien-L%C3%A9ger-Talisman-Bambou/release/1402200 and Terra http://www.discogs.com/S%C3%A9bastien-L%C3%A9ger-Terra/release/1353464
  7. Judging from your description I will like this, I put it on my wantlist. Well, it depends what you have in mind. Maybe super awesome is really not possible but I've noticed that I sometimes have a pretty strange taste and that I like stuff which that more or less nobody else does so... Another one for my wantlist, I will look for some samples here.
  8. I'd like to add Suntrance Goa 96 http://www.discogs.com/Various-Suntrance-Goa-96/master/57933 and Distance To Goa 4 http://www.discogs.com/Various-Distance-To...4/release/22329
  9. It's not, at least not from my moral point of view. But from the legal point of view I think there might be one?
  10. About the Lemonchill CD, the samples sounded great but I just had time for a short listening session and I have to say the music didn't convince me. I also haven't heard the LSD compilation but I own one of the EPs and it rocks. So I have pretty high hopes here... And I even got some more new stuff: Aerospace - Stereo Flip (Spintwist Records) not on Discogs yet k.d. lang and the BBC Orchestra live in London (I own the DVD, the link is from the Blue Ray) http://www.discogs.com/kd-lang-With-BBC-Co...release/1736063

  13. I was born in 1978. Good choice! I'm going to be the ultimate poser here ! I think the first electronical music I've heard was an Vangelis vinyl my mother owned when I was a new-born or not much older. Not that I remember hearing it but my mother had a lot of vinyls, mostly rock stuff from the seventies and sixties but also stuff like Klaus Schulze Vangelis. But the first electronic track I remember must be something from the 94, like U96, Marusha, Westbam and similar stuff. Wait, there where the Best Of Synthesizer samplers, I think they are even older. I still think that's nice music. I can't remember the first goa/psy track but my first party was around 2000 when a friend took me to a goa party where her brother was djing. I was high on E and every electronic music was fine to me. Then we started to go to more psy parties and I instantly fell in love with the israely artists like psysex (Hardcore Blastoff ftw!!!!!) and older goa releases. I still listen to a lot of other stuff like rock, hip-hop and whatever else there is around but psy/goa/progressive/chill is my big love and most records I buy fit in that category.
  14. Got a package from goastore.ch v/A - Multiple Organisms (Nice Dreams Music) http://www.discogs.com/Various-Multiple-Or.../release/496837 Kukan Dub Lagan - New Life New Vision (Mikelabella Records) http://www.discogs.com/Kukan-Dub-Lagan-New...release/1846516 v/A - Set10 CPH-IBZ (Iboga Records) http://www.discogs.com/Emok-Lenny-Ibizarre...release/1841136 I'm listening to Multiple Organisms right now and it's awesome chill/dub stuff. This label has only two releases but it seems both are mindblowing great. And the best thing is that there is another package from Saikosounds in the mail which I can pick up at the post office tomorrow. O happy day! :posford:
  15. Did anybody call my name?! I got the Third Ear Audio album and it's absolutely awesome. The best chill/dub stuff I've heard lately.
  16. I haven't heard the full album yet but I bought the four track EP and it's damn great. Btw. check Subconsciousmind's first album Gfühlsweid, also awesome music.
  17. To be honest I don't have a clue which psynews artists we have nut OOOD comes to mind. With a nice old-school set maybe?! Oh, or as planned years ago for the psynews meeting that never took place: EP!!
  18. Congratulations Mars, I hope you had a good celebration (or will have a good celebration this weekend, whatever...). Thanks to your post I just noticed how damn old Psynews and even Suntrip allready are, unbelieveabe...
  19. Funny to see that there are several people who have (or had) a problem with the Oxycanta comp. I was feeling exactly like you: checked some samples and the then ordered the comp. Gave it a spin but it was so boring I was trying to re-sell but didn't work. So one day when I was very stoned I gave it a try (I wanted somethign very calm that I was able to listen and go to sleep) and boom, I just loved it!
  20. v/A - Crossing Borders (mixed and compiled by DJ Emok), 2 x CD, Wakyo Records http://www.discogs.com/DJ-Emok-Crossing-Bo...release/1080725
  21. Check you PMs for some recommendations. Will get back to you for the full-on cds, no problem because of the shipping, I'll pay the regular price since your discs have a fair price.
  22. Looks great, as soon as my paypal account is worknig again I'll send you a PM.
  23. Long time no see Mr. Quacken... Downloading right now.
  24. Might not be a very popular opinion here but I actually like the track. It has a slight hint of Depeche Mode but also a hint of the typical IM sound. It's far from being psytrance in the regular kind of way but bit I'm sure I will buy the new album if it's sound anything like this. I listen to a lot of styles and some fresh stuff is always welcome. Btw. I also remember the comments about the Classical Mushroom album, history repeats itself indeed.
  25. Ok, then there is only one thing that comes to my mind without checking my albums at home: Cosmosis - Synergy (samples: http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ease.asp?id=69) It's imho an absolute masterpiece and a must have. Don't know how rare it is but haven't seen it in a while so...
