  1. Maybe die is a bit too much but imho this album gets way not mentioned enough: http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Truth-O...n/release/48841 It is a must have for me just because of the first track: Pleiadians- Time Dilation. Best Pleiadians track ever imho. The rest of the album is great too btw. Got my vinyls from Ebay two years ago , don't know for how much they would be sold now (or how much is asked for the CD).
  2. Yes indeed, the few Tatsu releases I've tried sounded utterly boring to me. I don't know how I would feel about them nowadays but I fear it wouldn't make much of a difference. To name some more stuff, old Iboga comps like Tryptamin and Ectoplasma are in the same category for me. The sound is way too much repetitive and (for me that means) not psychedelic. I never tried this music when I was tripping but so far it doesn't even seem worth it. Yes, the new Iboga stuff (let's say from 2004 on and newer) is my thing, also stuff like Lish's second album, Tomtron & Liesegang, Day.Din, Audiomatic and similar stuff (btw. I'm always hot for new recommendations!!). There's also an album I totaly love that is labeled as Progressive House, Breaks, Deep House, Tech House at discogs: Audio Park (http://www.discogs.com/Various-Audio-Park/release/1425365). It's not psy but psychedelic enough for me. It does not have to be a fuse with full-on but in general I like stuff with some melodies or at least a twist. It does not have to be über-cheesy but if it's too repetitive or too minimal I just can't get into it. Never heard about the album you posted will check (and merge) both threads. Edit: I've checked the samples at Saiko. It's not what I look for when I talk about progressive (or full-on, it's neither for me) but it's definitely nice music!! Very varied and something between prog and psy and full-on, nice! Oh and about liquid and the older prog stuff, I will give it a try if I manage to obtaine some liquid. And then tell you how it was...
  3. I have a very, very, very hard time to vote. For me full-on and progressive are equal so what to do? I have to say that I just "really" discovered progressive after a good dose of LSD and I also have to say that I still don't get the old progressive stuff and psyminimal. Still, latelely I'm buying way more progressive CDs than full-on stuff so this is why prog gets my vote. Full-on forgive me, I still loooooooooove you!!!
  4. Thanks, will look for it. It's strange then, my local shop only has the stick (and I am sure about this!!) but I think I didn't check psyshop close enough. The samples sound nice btw, I don't have too much of that dreamy dub-music in my collection so this is another one for my wantlist. Thanks for bringing it up.
  5. I agree with that. I'm not saying that I hear every difference or every tiny sound but in general I am able to hear a difference between songs from the same genre, even when I don't care for it. Because of that I sort of assume that (some) people who don't, just don't want to, especially when we're talking about a style they dislike. Not that this is bad, to each his own I say. I mean why invest time in a genre you don't like... But if those people then blame it on the music and not on themselfes I can't take that too serious (doesn't matter if we talk about psy or commercial stuff like r'n'.
  6. Yes I am. Or maybe I should say I was... Your report about the album doesn't sound too good then. I didn't manage to get my hands on the first album but I love Step In A Rasta Step and the compilation tracks I've heard. But since you didn't like the second album either maybe I'm on the safe side. Means I will check the samples anyway but what also turns me off is that the release is only available on compact stick. Is that true or was I just too stupid to find the CD?!
  7. There's a new Kukan Dub Lagen?!?!?!!?! Must get it!!!! :posford:
  8. I don't dislike the artists themselves but I have to say I've never really got into Astral Projection and Celtic Cross. Maybe I should give the Celtic Cross album another go, I do like music with celtic influences but so far I was always bored when I gave that project another try.
  9. Beat Hackers - System Error (and the rest of the Notes Junky album)
  10. I'm not a too big fan so I've voted option 3. The Sync24 album is average with some good moments but nothing more (for my taste anyway). Then I have Oxycanta which I first thought was booooooring but after listening to it after a good smoke I did change my mind. It's very calm music and I think I have to be in a special mood to appreciate it. Carbon Based Lifeforms' album is awesome and then I got the Hol Bauman album which I wasn't able to listen to. The rest is not exactly my thing. A friend showed me some Solar Fields stuff and I've listened to several releases in the shop. Most stuff is a bit too calm and kinda boring to me. Maybe it's the same like with the Oxycanta comp and I have to be in the mood for that kind of music. But what I really love about the Ultimae releases is how the CDs are presented. The cover art and the art bookles included are really neat, it seems like they put a lot of love and respect into their releases and even when lots of stuff is not exactly my taste I do appreciate that.
  11. Good news indeed, I will have to check the site on a regular basis. :posford:
  12. I didn't even know there is a book and not only the movie? Did they make the movie after the book or vice versa? There are plenty of books I've read several times. I will try to break it down to the essentials : Stephen King - Tommyknockers: my favourite book ever!! I love his novells anyway and read most of them several times but this is the best. Other great books by him are It and The Stand. J.R.R. Tolkien - Lord Of The Rings Michael Ende - Neverending Story Michael Crichton - Andromeda Herrmann Hesse - Stephenwolf Thomas Mann - Buddenbrocks Jules Vernes - 20000 Miles Under The Sea Irvine Welsh - Trainspotting and Ecstasy There are lots more, maybe I should add that I don't mind reading books again and again if I like them so...
  13. Is Steppenwolf actually really psychedelic? It's been some years since I've last read it and so maybe it's time to give it another go. I myself didn't make the link to anything psychedelic when I read it. Not even when he entered the door Lemmi mentions, I can remember that scene. But I fail to remember the magical rooms, maybe that would change my mind. I really love this book but not because of any psychedelic aspect that I might have noticed back then but because of the state of the main character in the book, his (from what I remember...) loneliness and also hopelessness in some parts.
  14. I've just bought a comp from Silicon Sound called Synthethic Chronicles (http://www.discogs.com/Silicon-Sound-Synthetic-Chronicles/release/1548694). I think it's a pretty good album with some remixes by Silicon Sound, some new tracks by SS and Even 11. I wouldn't mind a full album by them but the comp is nice enough for me. Besides that I would really like to see a new album from Lish. There was this remix album some years but actually that was quite a bummer considering how great Free Fall was. Anybody knows what's up with him? And I would actually be read to kill for a new Reefer Decree album. Are they still active? I just checked Discogs and there are some MP3s availabe from 2008. Will for sure get them but that's it for newer releases.
  15. Hei Mr. Cthulhu! I'm not online too much lately, I've started a higher business school so after work I have to attend classes. It totaly rocks but takes a lot of time. And how are you and the rest of the gang doing? And to not make this totaly off-topic, I got another new CD: v/a - Sons Of Goa Vol. 2 http://www.discogs.com/Various-Sons-Of-Goa.../release/482801
  16. Finally, finally some new CDs for me! 17. Nice set! Good mixing and the trackselection fits my taste. It's full-on but the melodic kind. Good work!
  18. Looks tasty, downloading right now.
  19. The three Positive Alchemists compilations are awesome imho. Then Electro Sun - Pure Blue, Sine Die, Spacecat - Mechanical Animal, Atma - Beyond Good And Evil, Oforia - Headed For Infinity, Freaked Frequency - Crtl Alt Delete, Ion - Ionized, Life Extension - Side Effect, Optokoppler, Loud Frequency Vol. 1 are among my favourites too.
  20. Now that sounds promising! I was not too sure if I would like the music after reading some of the comments and reviews here but I'll trust your taste. I hope the album will arrive soon so I can give it a try...
  21. AKD - Progressing is also very good and my newest favourite is Tomtron & Liesegang - Movida. The Tomtron & Liesegang album is rather calm with not too many layers but some amazing little melodies and effect. Btw. if anybody knows something similar, just tell me!!
  22. My local psyshop is extending its sale, prices of lots of albums have gone down from 15 to 8 Fr. (a new album costs about 30 Fr.). So I had to buy lots of stuff: v/A - Cabaret mixed by DJ Slater & Kaa (Trival Vision) http://www.discogs.com/Dj-Slater-Kaa-Cabaret/release/1388533 Tripswitch - Circuit Breaker Rewired (LSD, 2 x CD) http://www.discogs.com/Tripswitch-Circuit-...release/1090740 Bluetech - Elementary Particles / Prima Materia (Aleph Zero, 2 x CD) http://www.discogs.com/Bluetech-Elementary.../release/318080 v/A Daily Basis Vol. 2 compiled by DJ Pena (Flow Records) http://www.discogs.com/DJ-Pena-Daily-Basis...release/1337646 v/A - Switch compiled by Vedant & Odiseo (Iboga Mexico) http://www.discogs.com/Vedant--Odiseo-Switch/release/1113173 v/A - Vanguard compiled by DJ Slater (Tribal Vision) http://www.discogs.com/DJ-Slater-Vanguard/release/1174795 v/A - Multitouch compiled by DJ Sungirl (Sirius Records) http://www.discogs.com/DJ-Sungirl-Multitouch/release/1112414 v/A - Temple Of Science (Nice Dreams Music) http://www.discogs.com/Various-Temple-Of-S...release/1055537 System 7 - Phoenix (A-Wave Records) http://www.discogs.com/System-7-Phoenix/release/1218327 v/A - Forplay compiled by Quantum (Trancelucent Productions) http://www.discogs.com/Quantum-Forplay/release/1114278 v/A - City Lights compiled by Monoroom (Progress Tunes) http://www.discogs.com/Monoroom-City-Light...release/1548985
  23. Lish - Free Fall and Reefer Decree - Point Of You are my favourite progressive albums ever, so go and check them out. Besides that I think you should check stuff from Iboga in general. Plus Jaia's latest album, Ticon - Zero Six After and the latest album (at least the track 1987 is the blast), the comps from Tribalvision Records (Trash Art and Street art for example) rock too, Aerospace is nice, so is Audiomatic. Hope you will like some of it.
