  1. Holy mother of god that was funny (and a little bit embarrassing, a little bit too much actually...)
  2. doesn't sound bad at all! Although somewhere deep inside me there is a part that wished that the first build-up would've just exploded in my face
  3. Community, season 2. Seems a bit worse than season 1 though. Also falling skies, but I think I'm gonna quit it. Too melodramatic and cliche for my taste. Among recent series I saw and can recommend, Breaking Bad certainly spans the crown. (And Game of Thrones ofc, but I don't think that's there's anyone left who hasn't heard of this before)
  4. My thoughts exactly, it all seems a bit too 'good' to be true, doesn't it?
  5. Wow I did not intend to provoke such a reaction with that statement. First of all it's a sarcastic statement (hence the smiley) and all I really wanted to say is that I only listen to music I like. If I hear something I don't, I just turn it off, hence I don't know much about this "bad" music. Furthermore, 'bad' and 'good' music is all a matter of taste... There's a boatload of things I don't like, and therefor just don't listen to it. A good example of this is the radio. I don;t listen to the radio because 99% of the music played I don't like. Now, in respect to psytrance, I listen to a lot of different things, and some are more my cup of tea than others, but that does not necessarily mean that the things I don't like are 'bad' music... As such I think it is not a good idea to compile a 'worst of', because that's just ranting about other people's taste. (Movies are a completely different thing though )
  6. +1000 I just never listen to bad music
  7. I hear you. To me, South African Style psytrance nowadays seems to come closest to the the "true" psytrance style (in it's modern reincarnation, because to some, the SA psytrance might not seem very psychedelic at all). I don't really like the minimal stuff either, it is indeed too boring, while the SA stuff retains the very high energy and a good portion of crazy acid lines. A good example of this is tokoloshe tales, which I enjoy soooo much. Seems to be right in the middle between dark and full-on, just perfect in many ways. (Although I still enjoy goa the most....)
  8. Best transitions I have ever heard. Do you have a special technique for that? Just wondering...
  9. +1. Looks a bit too familiar
  10. Say Cybernetika, why don't you make us some dark new goa? Judging from the scythe of orion you seem very much capable of doing that
  11. Wow, this is some fine bullshit. Really, what some people use their time for is appalling.
  12. PLEASE. SOMEONE. Release mindbug from M-run!!!!! I want that track so badly The samples used together with the melody work are just soooooo awesome!
  13. For me IM was the first psy I 'discovered'. I listened quite a lot to them 3 years ago and I sometimes still do, but I somehow lost interest in their sound, even the old one. They have some tracks I still really really like ( psycho, never ever land), but that being said it stops for me. For me, there is way better psytrance/goa out there.
  14. Thank you kind sir. I wish the same to you! edit: I'm celebrating alright
  15. I thought everyone knew total eclipse
  16. wow, thanks for introducing him! His art is...fascinating.
  17. @ Kozmic: Your wallpaper is fucking awesome man. What an atmosphere... @ Exotic: it's...ALIVE!!
  18. Why was the rum gone? np.: an itunes card! Bougth vibra sphere's archipelago and Synsun's Full power of goa. I'm already in love with both
  19. Today I decided to listen to something different. I have been immersed in Goa Trance and ambient/chill so much that I have ignored all the other subgenre's of this overarching genre called psytrance, apart from the occasional dark and twilight full-on releases. So I went out, bought an Itunes card and downloaded this album. I waited till evening, uncorked a bottle of wine, dimmed the lights and just sat back and let myself experience this progressive sound. What can I say? I love it. It's got this kind of simple feeling to it, but it's soooo positive and uplifting. Sounds a bit housish, but just not enough to make me dislike it. And that's where my wonder lies: normally I don't really like house, I find it pretty boring. So one would say that everything that comes close to it should be pretty boring to me too. Yet, this does seem to do the trick. The subtleties are well present and the sound, while having a clubby feeling also feels right. I experience this as really deep chill with a beat, and I dig it! Favorites are: Tierra Azul: fantastic opener. Maybe one of the best album openers I have experienced. Ever. Really organic, smooth feeling with a piano that just pierces right through my heart. Awesome track. Sweet September: a superb follow-up, driving the album into upbeat territory but not overextending. Still a really laid-back atmosphere, with great samples. Landmark: astonishing melody work. Very simple, but somehow they manage to hit the right notes at the right time. It's a bit the same like carbon based lifeforms: their melody work, while being top notch, is always rather simple. So why is it so good? Right notes at the right timing. Same case here. Morning breeze: the ending 'climax' just tickles my ILOVEYOU-bone. Really, it's fantastic.
  20. Damn, didn't see this coming Thanks for all the nice releases and good luck with future endeavors!
  21. Oh god, this is so stupid but I can't help laughing until I crap my pants.
