  1. waw, very nice! More please!
  2. a cold pasta chicken salad
  3. I'm still soooooooo much in love with this album, I can't stress it enough. It has really become an evergreen for me an tracks like supersede, euphotic and m have become all-time favorites. I think that the strength in this album doesn't lie in it's complexity, it's just a beautifully crafted piece of sonic architecture, very honest in it's emotions and very straight forward. I might even be inclined to say that for me, this is better than Hydroponic Garden.. Incredibly deep psychill that just celebrates life in all it's aspects. Masterwork.
  4. Filteria's Earthrise always does the trick for me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiVEzp89sQc Hah, that smiley looks exact from my sentence to the video, awesome
  5. Damn, seeing this I really had to contain myself not to laugh out loudly in the middle of the university library
  6. Spam? This kind of spam?
  7. Yeah, Nagano it is. Well, to be honest, we got an evacuation order from my university in Belgium 3 weeks ago... So we went to Fukuoka for a while, just got back last week wednesday. I don't think the reactor will get worse than this so it'll probably be okay... I hope
  8. I'll probably be going out for dinner to a Korean place later today. Lately been to Nara, really cool city breathing that ancient Japanese atmosphere, great temples too! Oh and been in Fukuoka for a couple of weeks, but mostly just been hanging around there, saw Jikooha live though ^^ Where have YOU been going lately?
  9. yeah, I woke up because of an earthquake this morning. In Matsumoto they're not that intense though, just a little shake which for me at least feels kinda good. It's a blessing that Japanese architecture is somewhat to extremely earthquake-proof ot.: Still writing the bachelor paper... There's no end to it!
  10. so nice! Thanks for the good time ^^
  11. Working on my bachelor paper with some solar fields in the background and a slight earthquake here and there underneath. Got to love Japan
  12. I can't say I love the entire album, but some tracks on it, like up days are extremely good. IMO they hold the perfect middle between dark and goa, having a sinister atmosphere and being really driving and relentless but still somewhat "spiritual", although I hate to use that word.
  13. Thundercats and TMNT would be my two favourite cartoons from when I was a kid. Oh, and Prince Valiant
  14. Sounds good! Looking forward to yet another suntrip release
  15. I just love this cover...
  16. A keen interest in life itself, watching myself evolve, playing around with moving outside and back into my comfort zone, the excitement of new venues, discovering new stuff, ranging from something as abstract as an experience to a new album, meeting new people, coming closer and closer to a (as much as possible) complete view of this strange world and it's societies, my love for my better half, good weather, and underneath that all the steady and pulsating beat of psychedelic trance in all it's facets. Indeed, I enjoy life so much that that in itself becomes my greatest driving force
  17. Hotdog with pizza flavour for lunch, gotta love japanese' view on hotdogs
  18. Listening to Blue Energy and still not believing offtopic is back. The previous one was before my time here, and I thought it would never come back ^^

    V/A - Erta Alé

    Couldn't agree more!
  20. The seasons are changing, we are drifting into spring territory. I feel that my musical preference shifts with the seasons. While summer is all about powerful goa, blinding suns and extacy (the feeling, not the drug), fall leaves me wanting for darker sounds, still driving though as if I long for those final climactic notes as we prepare for the harsh coldness, snow and as my body gets slower I long for melancholic ambient soundscapes to cozy downbeat excursions in front of the winter bonfire. Once again, when spring announces it's first rays of sun and the flora awakens from it's winter sleep, the warm and sunny melodies once again find their way back into my sound system and I too awaken from the cold days. This is where Antares and his debut album Exodus come in. What a perfect timing. I will not discuss tracks one by one as that's not my style, and this album is so much more in his entirety. The warm feeling, positive vibe yet playful (I would never call them aggressive) acid lines awesomely describe the spring feeling. That is why I do not think this lacks drive or power, it just isn't meant to symbolize those things. I feel it most closely resembles a sunny but lazy sunday afternoon, enriched by these wonderful arrangements which take you on a soft journey, never overdoing it or wanting to be more than they are. Some of the morning style Goa just overdoes it a bit on the layering I think and it is refreshing to hear a more toned down, modest album. Truly beautiful music in my opinion. Adding to my more abstract musings, the production quality and mastering on this are just out of this world. My hat off to you Simon and Tim! I want to thank Simon, Suntrip and Tim Schuldt for this wonderful release, and I am very much looking forward to your next release Simon, be it under your Antares or Daimon moniker, you have a new diehard fan
  21. The new E-mantra! Really curious in which direction he is going to take it.
  22. I think it is a pity that very interesting discussions like this one always have to turn into mudfights. There is absolutely no need to attack each others musical preference every single time. Anyhow, back on topic: Basilisk's post is very interesting, as he adds the point of disgust, which is a very valid one I think. Also seeing Afgin's post confirms some of these theories, be it only in a single case. But I guess it's the same with almost every "underground" genre but the most extreme ones.
